I cannot post the full link due to xda forum link prevention (i've got less then 10 posts.)
Anyway.
I saw this on the miui forums, looks very promising but I'm not flashing in until I see some more reputable people flashing it.
If someone could flash it and report back the results, that would be great.

I can't post this in the relevant thread, because I have less than 10 posts (what a fantastic feature)
I need the Samsung Galaxy S2 stock XWKG1 firmwire. I'm sending my phone in for repair, as the power management is completely bonkers (it says I'm charging for hours after I unplug the charger; phone won't boot unless I'm charging, it says the battery temperature is too hot or something)
In the thread for stock firmwares ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 ) all the links are broken cause multiupload is down and has been down for a long time. (maybe because of the FBI raid of megaupload or something)
Try Sammobile.

OK, just searched, found a firmware that looked fine (XWKG1 - the topmost search result), clicked the download link, nothing. Another page just popped up with no relevant information, it just listed 5-6 random firmwares for other phones.
What a bloated ****ty website. Any other?

Yes its to stop idiot posts and those that refuse to use the search button or even read the damn thread where the answer is usually to be found .

Stock firmwares will be uploaded in time to a new server .

Not really odd that so many XDA users have never had a problem with the site .

So if the answer isn't to be found by search I have to spam 10 posts instead. I guess it has to work like that.
Acting like a prat isn't going to get you a lot of help on here/your hand held no matter how much you might want/like same to happen.
I gave you a bone, up to you to do the rest.

Enough said OP poster is lazy and ignorant wants it all on a plate .
A nice user may have found that i would have been willing to download this firmware from sources and upload for them .

didn't see a thread for this posted anywhere, and I'm not too sure how many people have seen it. just a few minutes ago I got a text from VM about the update. not too sure what it all pertains too except for that it states that it's a vulnerability patch. being rooted and on a custom ROM, I don't wanna take the chance of doing the update and possibly bricking. anyone wanna provide some input?
edit: I'm not allowed to post links, since I'm mostly a lurker :3
anyone care to post the link. if this thread bombs, go ahead and delete it haha
Here are a couple links

The patched OS is available from this page:
http://www.virginmobileusa.com/cell-phones/lg-optimus-v-phone.jsp
Look over on the right hand side under "Resources". There are also links to PDFs of the installation instructions there.
There is an FAQ about it with a link to the NIST page that lists data exploits but no real information as to what the exploit might be that this "fixes" or even what risks you might be exposed to if you don't install it.
There is some discussion about it in the Optimus V developer's Forum starting on page 466:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176888&page=466
I already installed it on my backup phone without thinking that it may block me from rooting it, at least until the next vulnerability is discovered.
It also has a new baseband. So that may be a problem as far as using a custom ROM as well. DOH! x 2
On the upside it seems to have fixed the Time Without Signal battery drain bug. I have had the phone running for a couple days just using WiFi since it isn't activated yet and it is still at 80%. No heavy use but I am leaving WiFi and GPS on all the time and checking the News & Weather whenever I think of it to try to run the battery down so that I can calibrate it.
Hello there,
I recently found the ROM to upgrade the Droid Razr XT912 to JB. Went through the process and it all worked out fine...however I have noticed a few things that I was hoping to get help with.
1.When trying to go into camera it shows up for a second then freezes and a popup says Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped.
2.When going into system settings it has Cyanogen mod infomation there but under OTA updates(Not sure if they are cyanogen mod updates or Verizons) it says Error fetching update info: Invalid ROM(STOCK0JB-cm_spyder) and device(cdma_spyder) combo!
Just trying to find out what I need to do to get the camera working, the other thing may just be as intended with this ROM.
It is the one located at this url here on the site.

From the thread where you downloaded:
What Doesn't Work?
Webtop
HDMI
FFC Video
Camera Flash
Bugs?
Normal CM10 bugs like the screen rotation shrinkage.
Volumes
Bluetooth
Maybe more, you tell me!

AND not all roms support OTA updates.
Hey, here is a good idea..... Go read the thread where you downloaded from. There might be an answer in there. And while you are at it, why not post your question in that thread?
EDIT: There are other people with the same problem in that thread. Not sure if there is a fix. READ IT. Oh, and I notice you cannot post since you only have two posts. Go help 8 people and then you can post your question in the thread if it isn't solved already.
I fixed the problem by downloading a third party camera app for ICS. I would have posted there if I could have, the problems I read about all related to just the flash on the camera not working...not the whole camera itself. I must have missed it in the 12 pages.
I apologize. Did a search for my problem and could not find anyone saying the keywords I was looking for. Thanks for the response as unhelpful as it was.

There is still time to go help 7 people and get your 10 posts. Then you won't have this problem in the future if your problem is not addressed in that thread.
You have been a member here since June!!

the tone of your posts comes across at my end as though your caffeine level is too low or to high. just my perception & just letting you know.

Thanks for letting me know. My caffeine level is fine though. Thanks for your concern.
I was just pointing out that the OP should read the thread for his specific ROM. That would be the best place for info.
If he had read it (instead of searching it) he would see that there are a few other people that are having the same problem. There are also a few suggestions as to what might be causing the problem and a suggested fix.
That's all I'm saying brah!
And if he would have found a few minutes to make a few posts over the last 6 months that he has been a member here, he would have been able to post in the thread where he is most likely to get an answer from the other people running that ROM, including the DEV.
That's all I was saying!
But again, thanks for your concern about my caffeine levels.
I would really like to post this in the appropriate forum but apparently I don't have enough privileges to do so. I to can not get my 4g to work on this ROM, even after applying the, *#*#4636#*#*, fix that is in the OP. There was someone else that posted the same problem in the MIUI forum and the DEV gave a link to download the spyder version. I did that also and still no luck. I would like the DEV to know that that person is not the only one with the issue. I actually can't get any data to transfer over the network even on 3g. I don't know if this is related or not. I was also wandering about a couple of the pop ups right at the beginning of setting up the phone on initial flash. I cannot read the language so I don't know what I am agreeing or not agreeing to. I wanted to know if I could get a clarification on this. Any useful help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Disregard. I found a different download that works great.
Hi Guys,
Have searched the forums (and the MIUI one) for this and there seems to be too many threads. Have logged it on the MIUI forum too but there seems to no confirmed answer/resolution.
Since the 2nd to last update, my Redmi Note 3 has no Data Connection daily, it takes multiple reboots or Airplane mode on/offs to kick it back in. Phone is stock, latest rom (cannot add link into posts yet)
Is there anything I have missed or can do to resolve? As i say, I know there are many threads but nothing seems concrete. Is my best option to Root and try a new ROM?
Thanks for any help....
Colonel
Hey all,
this may seem a little forward, but is the topic of this thread a big no no? I understand sometimes there is genuinely no answer, and like all others I appreciate the knowledge some people have on here, but on XDA and the MIUI forum, this issue is posted a lot, and it never gets 1 reply, or on the MIUI forum a mod just says "its your phone".
Seems a little weird as it has rendered a lot of phones useless
