I used kingroot and accidentally deleted a wrong file. Then I restored and now I can't get that file back.. my messaging app and browser just crash on their own. I tried doing a master reset but it didn't do anything. Maybe you guys can help if you have the stock rom or a cyanogen mod or any custom rom to at least get a working phone? Thanks a lot. I'm a newbie..

You're only hope is someone else with this phone seeing this and is also rooted that could copy the files you need. You won't find any custom roms for the phone nor the stock rom. Coolpad nor developers couldn't care less about providing anything for this phone. You should post what you deleted in case someone comes across it that has the phone so they would know what you need.

Hey I did the same I used Kingo root and it installed Supersu. I followed the directions on supersu to root it and it started the process then it rebooted my device and now it is stuck on the carrier start up screen and won't factory reset in recovery mode it stays stuck in the boot loop of you can post or if there's a ways for the Stock Rom for the Coolpad Cataylst 3622a if appreciate it I've looked for a week and can't find anything at all to download the OS Rom or anything

I rooted my Coolpad catalyst with KingRoot and I root. When KingRoot rebooted my phone i tried iroot and then it installed kingroot.It was rooted with no problem.I tried flashing it and something went wrong.Please help i need firmware and flashtool :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

I have this phone too, and i'd love to figure out how to safely root it. I just want to delete some bloatware,,, not mess with anything important. It onyl has 8g (5g free) so I'd like as much space as possible.

Tell me the exact steps as you bricked the phone ? I rooted with Kingoroot but would pass it to SuperSU and since reestablished the phone makes the app was removed kingo superuser, you think you have a problem installing SuperSU?

I too managed to soft brick a catalyst with kingroot. Phone now hangs\doesnt get past the startup animation. Whats weird is a USB interface is enabled with the hardware id USB\VID_1EBF&PID_707D&REV_0310, however nothing that Ive tried on it (driver wise..) seems to work. If I could just get this phone working, I can and will make a unbrick sd card image for it. Just for sh*ts and giggles I tried running a samsung debrick sd card image on a qdload\hard bricked 3622a, and to my delight it attempts to boot but the locked bootloader wont permit it.

Ive been looking for a stock firmware\update.zip\system image for this phone since late Feb. with no luck whatsoever. I think we'll be waiting a while...
My phone won't even let me install it. I get a pop-up halfway through it's installation process. Something like, "there's code in this app that attempts to bypass developer sw...." and the app fails to be installed. Any suggestions??

Anyone happen to have a stock recovery img for this phone? Not sure what my son did to it but will will only boot to the Android system recovery screen.
I haven't changed the recovery image I have however rooted the device. If you can give me the 411 without altering the recovery I would be happy to help.
Would like some advice too. I have the 5042t aka the alcatel pop astro. Kingroot wouldn't with I even talked to their support and they said not supported. I sent them my error log. Ive tried adb as well but can't get it to connect. The only thing I can think of is it did an over the air update when I first got it and maybe if it was stock then it might work. I want to root to free up space. I have a 32gb memory card but can't use it cause no apps want to go there. The phone memory is almost nil.

As long as you didn't do the update kingroot will work t-mobile is now shipping the phone with the update already installed which removes the exploit and the ability to root.

Hey, I was able to get root on my Y538. But when I tried to delete some bloatware and restart the phone I got stuck in a bootloop. I'm thinking I may be able to fix this issue by sideloading the Y538 kernel from the EMUI site. But I'm having trouble downloading the file.
Has anyone else in the history of the world had this issue before??? I could really use some help here cuz this is kinda my cellular device...

Does anyone happen to have an update.zip laying around? I Kingorooted my phone, rebooted, and now I'm stuck in a boot loop at the splash screen. I can only access side loader and FTM. I never replaced the recovery, and am using stock recovery and bootloader which is still locked. And what should the directory structure of update.zip look like? I can get to ADB Sideload and make connection, but when it goes to verify update.zip, I get a footer error which means that the update.zip or update.tar is not correctly formatted... I have the three .IMG files, but I must be missing something. Any help would be great

Apparently there is no root for this phone, it's a Boost ZTE Prestige 2 N9136. I've tried kingroot with no success and I'm too sketchy about trying one of those random one click root BS that keep coming up on my Google searches. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thank you.

Hmm... It could be valid but when I see rar files inside of rar files inside of zip files it sure smells bad . OTOH the batch file does seem focused on this phone so who knows?
If you unlock the bootloader and download the stock rom, you can use magisk to root the device. There are plenty of guides on using magisk to patch stock images, but if you need help or have questions I will do my best to help you.
man i have tried for a solid month to root this thing every day after work. I've done just about anything you can do with the files mentioned above. But the problem I keep facing is the locked? bootloader. i can't figure out how to access fastboot, if there even is a fastboot. i've checked all the drivers a million times, etc. If I could just get fastboot i could flash twrp and be good from there, but I can't even get the flash software I've got to break through. Any help would be greatly appreciated, by my family too. I can't give it up lol

Did you get the needed files yet?
Not exactly.. I had tried to make a backup of a new ride device but couldnt get them to work properly without breaking varity...i used mtk-su to do the backup. If you have any advise, files, or even questions i could use or help you with... Let me know...
What files u need? I found a way to read and copy files from boot and system partitions
