Possible to Port Xperia X Rom? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi Devs,
Is it possible to port Xperia X rom to our device. It has same processor SD 650?
In Xperia X thread i have seen Nougat system dump. Can we use it for our device?

Check this https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-xosp-rl7-rev2-t3553884

ohhh XOSP i know... but those are lineage or CM based rom and lots of bugs...

Like 100% sony rom? I think it's impossible. Because some part of OEM ROM feature is closed source.

not exactly 100% rom. but it might be useful to get some features like Data connection(as its not working properly in XOSP rom).
So that we can have near to bug free ROM.

Port Xiomi mi3

Hi To Xperia U Modders and porters. :silly:
Please guys please poty Xiomi Mi3 Android 4.4 kitkat to xperia u
actaully i have checked devswift1 and others miui but i didn't liked them much due to they are\e build with ics.|
so please port the android 4.4 to to xperia u
I wish too (for Xgo actually). but how i see the situation :
Mi3 MIUI takes too much RAM..it would be hard to get the interface working as-it-is on a 512mb RAM device.
battery consumption can be a problem too. our devices don't have enough juice.
from what we are seeing in reviews of Mi3, i say lets modify stock KK (CM etc), instead of trying to port MIUI KK to 2012 devices.
Sorry if i misunderstood anything, im not a dev
Stock KK is already modified...so the only solution is to change the device!!!

There could be a way to port CM12 to the htc desire 610

Hey guys,
I was researching yesterday about other phones with the same res and chip for a cm port maybe. Then I finally found the SONY XPERIA E3. This phone has the same resolution of the US variant of the desire 610 (480*854) and houses a snapdragon 400. And the XPERIA E3 has an unofficial build of cm12. I'm no dev, but we already have slimkat (i belive you already need a custom rom to port) and the E3 has the same specs (res and chip) AND CM12. So if there is any dev that knows how to port, please give it a shot. We already have a 4.4.4 rom, and I would love to see cm12 on our device. And if there is a dev who is willing to port it, take your time.
Here is the link to slimkat for us:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-610/development/rom-slim-a3ul-4-4-4-build-9-0-t3149308
And is cm12 for the E3:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-e3/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-d2203-t3079922
There is also another 5.x.x based rom for the e3:

Unfortunately we don't have a lolipop kernel so there will be a lot of things that won't work even if you can get it to boot.

Anyone to port FlymeOS?

Is anyone able to port flymeos to our g2m?
I dont have much knowledge about porting ROMs but maybe someone has a time and know how to do this.
There is a chance for success because we have good working cm12 (its a base of flymeos),
device which running flymeos have the same GPU, cpu (but difference resolution).
Here is the link:
http://www.droidfull.com/2015/07/1sflyme.html
with right libs even camera works well (i just tried apps).
It will really something cool cuz everyone likes MIUI and flymeos is very similar and this rom from link is a stable, bug free version.
MIUI works gerat on LG L90. It's base on CM 11 http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/development/miui-v6-lg-d405-t3248423
You can try to compile muiu via this source https://github.com/respkirya/patchrom_miui_w7 only replace file in boot_image_unpacked and stock rom from CM11 for g2m.

is there any rom for micromax a311 other than cm

I found that all rom for micromax a311 are cyanogen based... I tried lollipop all cm based based roms have same bug on data and network im fed up with it.. Now using miui 8 .. But it is kitkat i want to try lollipop or above.. Without any data or network problem.. Any suggestion
Hi surjit I think your new to to this thing. The answer is in your question... All Android ROMs greater than or equal to Android 5.0 are based on Cyanogenmod.(ONLY applies to devices with no source codes/mtk) Because we have to take a device specific ROM and convert it into a310/11 specific ROM. As most mtk device's with mtk have only cm's official rom,we take it and port it and all other ports are made out of that ported ROM.you'll find all non cm based ROMs to be below Android 5.0 because they are ported from Micromax's stock ROM. They seem to be pretty bugless. Hit thanks if you understood.

Hi Rajesh,
I think there is no MM ROM out there which completely stable I mean 2/3G switch for dual sim users is a major bug. Though I never faced any bug with GPS on the RR ROM yeah it was slow to lock down but worked. WiFi is not a bug its like this in MM builds for MTK due to lack of source codes. The Best stable ROM which never gave out issues is RR lollipop vr 2 by bikaram007. I use it as a daily driver.
( The bugs are VPN and YouTube 5 second. Which are solved and have a workaround)
Note if you do not find the YouTube 5 second fix ask me to upload it.
Thumbs up if you liked it.

cm14.1 FOR XPERIA X !?

hey guys
the last recovery dindnt work well because of the outdatet sony version and because i editet the build.prop on my phone
actualy its only worked on my phone sorry for this
At first i wanna tell you to never install a substratum theme on your sony phone
my good friend did this on his brandnew xperia xz and ran into a bootloop.
i highly recomend to install flashtool
theres is a option called hotboot
its pretty simple to install
its a great tool to look at your own creations ...
im trying to port all features from cm 14.1
to our (great) phone it sems like since all the xperia x`s was released
the Cyagenmod Developers dont care much about these devices
so i have tried some things with the rom by infected (because of prebuild aosp support),
the redmi note 5 14.1 cm rom
and with the stock 0.47 Sony rom
Somehow i managed to port the theme and some tiles of the software so
most things arent working
i can swipe in the 14.1 trebuchet launcher perfectly the settings working fine
but since i open any app its crash immediatly
all 2 minutes system ui crashes
phone overheats
all types off connections arent working
except of blootooth
i repacked the rom of the redmi note 3
with the data and dumb of the Xperia F5121
i also managed to see that only 2 cores are opperating, I made some changes and all cores was operating just fine without overheating
not speaking about camera and fingerprint
Im looking forward too made not a rom but something like a overlay or better a theme
it will be flashable in TWRP and it made your phone looking like an actual phone running cm14.1
with the actual Cm settings and most of the feautures
sounds very interesting!
It is amazingļ¼
The twrp Recovery in the OMNI rom 7.1.2 threat is a fixed Version of twrp 3.1, without some Bugs from the original Version. I hope it's help. We need lineage os for the Xperia X
