ISO complete wrap for phone - Samsung Galaxy S8 Accessories

Hi all, I'm in search of a skin/wrap that covers the front, back and sides of the phone. Can anyone recommend one? Thanks.

Google sticker boy. I usually buy from them every year and have one on my S8 .

Did you get a complete wrap? How difficult is it to install? It looks like there is lots of room for operator error when installing.

It covers the phone completely. You get separate peices for the side and back. It's not hard but fiddly. A point to note is if you have a tight case the top/bottom stickers can get pushed off as you fit the case on so watch out.

The instructions is good for changing the glass but i cant find any good for changing the frame, anyone knows if there are some instructions for this operation?

Is this what you mean? ebay.com/itm/Housing-Frame-Front-Bezel-Cover-For-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-i9300-White-/330943326960?pt=US_Cell_Phone_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item4d0dc26af0
If it's suffering from scratches, you can use a sliver sharpie to cover it pretty well. Much easier and cheaper

Thats probably why its hard to find information about it, its to coplicated and expensive..
Du you know any specific pen that works...

Yep. Unless the new bezel comes with glass already. Removing the glass from the existing bezel (or middle plate) breaks it

Yes I confirm that to have a new bezel you need to buy a whole glass+LCD+bezel pack as all those parts are glued together. To change the bezel you would have to remove the digitizer+LCD, meaning destroying them. That's what I did to repair my broken screen some months ago.
So it's about 140$ I guess.
The amoled too? Jeez

I saw a video a few weeks ago (that I can't find now). But, and I think just a regular silver sharpie. I am going to buy one and use it on my own as it's also suffering from scratches.

How easy is it to replace the Note 3's original metal bumper?

Hi guys.
Here's the thing: I'd really like to use my Note 3 without a case/skin/bumper,etc.
Now, I have a tempered glass screen, so that's covered. Also, there are many replacements for the back cover - I could easily replace it or even buy a cheap one and keep the original in the box.
Now, that leaves the original bumper. I don't like those aluminum bumpers, as they make the phone bigger and also block the signal. The plastic bumpers also look fugly.
So, down to my main question: if I get the original bumper damaged, how easy is it to replace it? And is it expensive?
Does anyone have the experience in doing this?
Thanks in advance.

http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung+Galaxy+Note+3+Teardown/19209 this is the teardown by Ifix and it should reference the specific repair the only issue I'm at work and cannot see the images so I cannot give you my opinion but the last few times IE note 2 and s3 the silver bezel has been a separate part of the screen and is held on via a few screws so in short fairly easy if it follows that trend
EDIT: I found this thread they talk about the Bezel replacement http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2493623

How To: Back Cover Swap. From Midnight Blue to Cloud White

So I wasn't too big of a fan of the Midnight Blue color, but it was the only color available from T-Mobile, so I went with it. I purchased a white back cover from ebay and this is how I swapped it out.
Link to back purchased:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261685948756?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
First is the replacement cover itself. It comes with adhesive already applied and a blue cover to be removed before sticking on.
To take the cover off the Nexus 6 I used a dull razor blade, as it was the only thing I could find that wold fit between the back cover and the metal housing. I stuck it in the bottom corner because I thought it would make it easier to peel up. I also put a piece of electrical tape at the point where the razor would touch the metal housing to avoid chipping the metal.
WARNING!!!! There is a ribbon next to the power and volume buttons that will pull up with the cover when removing make sure to use your finger to hold it down as you pull on the cover. Take your time.
Peel off protective cover of new back and stick on . Pretty simple.
Finished.
I do like it wayyyy better than the midnight blue back color. The blue was too boring for me and I am actually liking the 3 tone with white, black and blue. However, once they release the housing I will replace with the housing shipped on the Cloud White model to get rid of the blue. Also remember cloud white is slightly off white so don't a bright white. And thanks to ifixit for the instructions for removing back cover.
And FYI, the white cover has the same texture as the blue. It is also a fingerprint magnet as well, but less visible in most lighting due to the color.
Nice, thanks for sharing. Pics r a little small but still helpful.

Does it feel like factory? I received an RMA'd Nexus 6 (on my third one) and it's perfect--except there are lots of scuffs on the back. :\ I don't want to have to return it and get another dud if this works and looks stock.

It feels just like factory. I'm honestly not sure if it is factory but it is identical to the stock and a perfect fit.

Could I get a link to the page you ordered from? I want to make sure it has the adhesive installed.

Nice, thanks for the write up, especially the part about the ribbon cable. I ordered a new one on Dec 1 but the tracking hasn't updated since the 4th so who knows when I'll get it.
Edit - Looks like it showed up in Chicago today. Maybe tomorrow I'll have it.

This is why I got a new one. My new Nexus 6 from Sprint came with a few of those scuffs on the back almost like they used the phone as a hockey puck and slid it across the floor before packaging it or something. Nothing I have done has created anything like those scuffs so I am not sure what these phones went through during assembly. I knew the back covers would be cheap since there isn't even an NFC tag or anything attached to them.
Is it possible to still stick the old back on the phone after removing it or will the adhesive not be strong enough to stick? I was thinking about getting a white for fun to see if I like it.

The adhesive seems strong enough on the original cover to reapply. I even put the protective layer that cane with the new back on the old one.

i was thinking of picking one up, to see what/how i can paint it black (and look good) while adding texture. Let me know if you have any ideas on how you are going to do this!
Thanks. That's good to know because I'm sure I will be replacing it at some point (I have no case and the back cover will surely get scratched up at the minimal contact point)

There's a rubber paint that I saw at home depot for random stuff like painting your rims and dumb things and its made by krylon if I recall correctly. There is also a sand textured paint for outdoor decor which looked interesting. I'll have to see which one I want before I buy the back.

I have to agree, PlastiDip doesn't work well for something being handled as much as a phone, even if you sandpaper the item for better adhesion before painting
How long did the back cover take to arrive at your doorstep? It'd be nice to do the conversion before I head off for vacation in a week or so from now.

Shipping from NJ only took 3 days to get to me in Texas.
Thanks for this. Just ordered one!
does anyone know if replacing the white back with one of these blue ones will void any kind of warranty?

[Q] Cases that don't touch side edges of the screen?

Anyone know of a case that doesn't go all the way up the side edges and touch the screen's glass?

Unless you want to glue the phone into the case, there is no alternative.
Its also kind of pointless, since the purpose of a case is to protect the glass. If the case doesn't come up over the edge of the glass, it won't do its job.

It can come up on the top and bottom or the edges. Sometimes people should just be silent if they can't contribute something useful.
I'm also searching for something like this.
ringke slim
Had that one but got a unit where it stood away from the phone in the button area which wasn't acceptable and the seller wasn't that reliable. Unfortunately there is no other at the moment in my country.
Had a case like this for my N5, loved it. Super minimalistic. Was hoping for a similar case for the N6 but haven't seen any pop up yet.

Ringke slim is probably the best, though. it's about as close to what you describe as you can get. I have one for more work iPhone, too. Can't you get one shipped via ebay or something?

No there's only this seller which I won't order from again. I now ordered another slim case from some unknown manufacturer and will try that.
I ordered several cases on amazon. The best in my opinion was the sup beetle case. Keeps a low profile, its well made and its cheap to buy. Just my two cents.

what is it going to grab onto if it doesn't touch the screen??? top/bottom/side doesn't matter, the screen goes all the way around!!!

It just shouldn't on the sides of the phone! I don't care what it's like on top or bottom or the edges of the phone. That was also the question of the OP.
I'm using the Spigen Thin Fit, which might be close to what you are looking for. I like it with Swipe Navigation since there's nothing touching the bottom of the screen, making it easy to swipe up.

S7 backplate template

Hello, I've got a question. Does anybody have got (or know where to find it) a template of the back panel of the phone? I've got a sheet of 3M foil and I'd like to cut out a protective sticker from it, but I need a template in 1:1 scale. Maybe someone have got something like this?
You may try searching on korean google.co.kr or ask from this YouTube channel JerryRigEverything
Not sure but I hope you will find that.

Any chance you could share those templates?
