LG K7 from MetroPCS, Anyway to unlock the SimCard Lock? - LG K7 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone. I just recently aquired a LG K7 MS330 but I live abroad, Angola to be more expecific, and I can't use my angolan simcard in it because its locked by Metro PCS. Is there anyway to Bypass or remove the Lock? It was a gift so I don't wanna have to put it away.
Thanks in advance!

You can obtain the apk here.

Alcatel Fierce XLHTC Desire 626sKyocera Hydro WaveLG G Stylo, LG G Stylo White, LG K7, LG Leon LTESamsung Galaxy Core Prime, Samsung Galaxy Grand PrimeZTE Avid PLUS, ZTE Obsidian
To unlock the MetroPCS phones listed above, do the following:
Make sure you have an active data connection via 3G/4G/LTE or Wi-Fi.From the Application list, tap*device unlock. (Note: The application may be located in the MetroPCS folder.)Tap*continue.Choose the Permanent Unlock type:If successful, restart the device to apply the settings.
Note:*If you do not restart the device, you will have a persistent alert in the notification tray.

This doenst work. It just says "Unlock Failed". I was wondering if I could flash a diff and and if it would work :\

That would indicate the device is most likely imei blacklisted from the carrier network or you can't do unlocking without actually reaching a tower that contains a signal for the carrier network.
Most likely it's a stolen phone, or they never paid their bill in a timely manner.

Wanting to Unlock Metro MS769 to work on TMobile or Simple Mobile Network

Hey guys,
I have the Metro PCS version of the LG L9, & I want to unlock it to work on TMobile or Simple Mobiles network for my mother..... Could someone point me into the right direction? I'm sure I have to root, & unlock the bootloader, is there a custom rom that would solve this that I could use? Or is it more complicated.
I'm used to the rooting the LG G2, & got my Sprint version G2 to work on Metro, Tmobile, & Simple Mobile, so this phone is something new to me. Thanx for the help.

Sounds like a carrier lock. You have two options... 1) Purchase unlock code online or 2) Call MetroPCS and ask them for carrier unlock code.
I'm sure there's a way around that..... I've successfully unlocked my Sprint version of the G2, without having to have Sprint give me an unlock code.
That phone was pretty complicated to unlock, but it was done. So I'm sure this phone should have a work around also.
From what I'm seeing so far, the P769 is basically just about the same as the Metro PCS version. I just want to make sure I can do it, without having to call Metro PCS. I don't even have an account with them anymore. It's been a couple years. So I doubt they would give me the code anyways.

You asked. I answered. Best of luck FYI, that P769 is nothing like LG G2. I'm assuming you're aware of that already as you mentioned the bootloader was already unlocked. P769 is one of the most problematic devices LG has put out to date. I gave up on mine L9 P769 and moved to the LG L90.
Thanx.
Yea, I'm definitely aware that the 2 phones differ. I love my G2! It's an awesome phone. Complicated as far as carrier unlock, because Sprint has a tight grip on their phones, but it definitely can be hacked whether they like it or not! Lol.
I'm just trying to find out the easiest way to get this phone working on a different carrier besides Metro PCS. I'm pretty sure someone out there has tried it. It would be nice if there was someone who successfully did it.
Hello there do u have still that phone?

HELP: LG V10 T-Mobile Unlock App: Unknown Failure, Please Try Again Error!

Hello Professionals,
I have a little, or maybe difficult problem which I think you might be able to help me on.
I bought a LG V10 H901 T-mobile on eBay sometimes ago, it was still locked to the T-mobile network and I've been making ALL efforts to unlock it for use. When I opened the Device Unlock App and click on permanent unlock to see if my device can connect to the T-mobile Server, the response I get every time is : ' UNLOCK FAILED: Unknown failure, please try again' which means the device unlock services online won't work for my device. I've restarted my phone a lot of time, also updated my device to the latest version, I've even done factory reset but I still get the same error still.
My Phone is not rooted either and I don't live in the US or a territory where T-mobile network works! I'm planning to unlock the Phone for International use. Now, I don't know what else to do to get my T-mobile LG V10 SIM unlocked. Please, kindly help me with this issue as I'm really bothered right now.
Thanks Everyone!

You can try a generic unlock site and see if it works. Mine didn't since it was a locked "LG partner phone" and I had to email T-mobile's higher management for them to make an exception and add my IMEI to their database. Calling their regular customer service was useless. Use the T-mobile IMEI checker webiste first to see if it's recognized.
Other people haven't been so lucky and have to activate the phone for a couple months on the t-mobile network so they add the IMEI to their database according to their terms and services. Being out of country makes that pretty difficult.
All in all, it might be easier to just sell it and buy an unlocked version already especially if out of country.

I used unlockpolice.com to unlock my phone. It cost me $180.00 and they had to connect to the phone with a USB redirector app. First time they read some information from it, second time was to unlock it. They did not change the IMEI number, and it is sim unlocked. Am using it with AT&T after flashing the U1 firmware (removed sprint bloat)
I did not try to use the phone back on Sprint, honestly no reason too for me.

Question about LG G5 US992 Us cellular

Hi
I just bought a used LG G5 US992 us cellular variant from my friend, i bought it in indonesia.
The phone seems already SIM unlocked since i can use my local Network provider ( Telkomsel, XL, Etc) and im still dont know anything about LG G5 .
So..here is the question
1.if i do factory reset , the one from settings. Do my phone will be "sim locked again"? Or the phone is already unlocked from the original?
2. The game optimizer didn't detect my games (PUBGM,Fortnite, etc) or just dont support it?
Thanks for your time.

Unlocking a prepaid Verizon LG V60 while abroad

Hi,
Is there any way to unlock a prepaid Verizon LG V60 while abroad ?
The phone is not asking for a network unlock code
so inserting your overseas sim card, it doesn't say any thing? and when trying to make a call, it doesn't ask for unlock code?
maybe try factory reset and hope the tmobile verizon app appears again... i believe it's a software lock. and once there is a way to flash other roms, then that might help.

Usually only the AT&T version is the one that asks for a code. Other will have to be remotely unlocked.
ok cos i think my tmobile one asked for unlock code, but my friend did it for me, so not sure. if only we could flash new unlocked rom from another region.

May I know if the verizon unlocked your phone? (While abroad and not connected on verizon network), If yes, did it follow the 60days unlock policy? Thanks in advance for your answer.
