erasing with s pen? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

whats the best way to trigger the eraser with the s pen? Is there an s pen that works with the tab s3 that has the eraser function on the back of pen like the note 10.1 and the surface pro?
Thanks

The eraser functionality varies significantly front app to app. It's really nothing like the experience on the surface. (I have both as well)

There is an s-pen with Eraser from a few years back . It works with the Tab s3 but the writing experience is not on par with the new S-Pen .

spen is different from the regular stylus. note has a special digitizer than the ones use in other smartphone to interact with it . as for alternative... probably gotta spam through ebay and see if anything rings up

To my knowledge, no. The C-Pen is thicker because it is like any stylus for an iPhone or iPad, just mimicking your finger touch.
The Note S-Pen was capacitive so it could sense pressure and do fine details. I don't expect it to work on the S3.

[Q] Stylus does work on Xperia Tablet Z?

I tried 2 stylus (the jot pro and a 3M stylus) but both do not work. Regardless whether i I am using screen protector or not, the screen does not sense the stylus at all. Have you guys got the same issue?

XTZ does not support active styluses like s-pen from samsung, it can only detect a passive stylus...
passive styluses don't come with a fine edge so don't think that any decent work can be done with the stylus like writing notes or something.
Any standard capacitive stylus should work with it, and I find ASUS' stylus headset and a cheap stylus both work. Pressure sensitive types that require bluetooth may be problematic.

Any capacitive stylus _should_ work. I recommend the Wacom Bamboo Solo stylus. It's pretty good, but still not as good as an active stylus like the ones the Samsung Note series uses.

S-pen holder.

Hi y'all.
I love the functions of the S-pen. However the physical design leaves a lot to be desired. At least in my clumsy paws.
Samsung makes an S-pen holder that adds a great deal of good ergonomy, sadly though it is made for the pen of the original Note.
You can see an example here:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=160955124637.
Please - does anybody know if the SGN3-pen will fit in this holder? It probably won't be a good fit, but that can be remedied. As long as you can close the holder over the pen and the button works.
Regards
Elo.

No. It's note 1 only accessory. You still can use note 1 pen with note 3 but it will have much less pressure sensitivity levels.
If you need thicker pen go for a wacom bamboo feel.

S Pen 2 in 1

has anyone come across a 2 in 1 s pen stylus. One that looks like a real pen, has a ballpoint in it as well as the S pen nib and action button.
I'm always having to swap s pen for a real one as I use the S pen a lit. Used to have a 2 in 1 stylus in my Palm Pilot days, it was a really smart one looked like a Mont Blanc and was a very useful bit of kit.
I'd be grateful if you could keep your eyes open.

I've been dreaming of such device too lol

If there was a ball point in s pen that will leave marks on phones screen dam.. I will never use such pen on my note 3

tell Samsung, maybe they will make one.
Bamboo made a duo stylus. I know they make a full size s pen as well for tablet use. Maybe check with them if they make dual sided pen.
Thanks folks looks like I'm going to have to go for a dedicated s pen like the 10 inch Note one.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B007V2G59K/ref=pd_aw_sbs_2?pi=SL500_SS115
It's the lack of balance with the shipped s pen which makes it tricky to use for long periods of time.

I know the note devices use Wacom touch screen technologies, and so does the Microsoft Surface Professional series. So if you find a stylus that works on the Surface Pro it will also work on the note. I have a surface Pro and have tested this on numerous occasions. Hopefully that broadens your search a little.
Hi - I'm looking for an SPen which fits the Note 3, which includes WRITING INK. I've searched the net but can't seem to find one. I used to be able to get these replacements on my old XDA a decade ago. Is it possible to get a real ink pen that fits into the Note 3 in replacement of the stylus?
PS - I don't use the SPen features, so I really don't need the standard SPen functionality whatsoever.
[Alternatively, do the 2in1 pens for the Note 10 that are discussed in this thread, also fit comfortably and slide into the Note 3?]
Many thanks,
Rob

stylus with eraser capability?

I love SNote and the standard stylus is nice, but I don't like needing to switch back and forth from the eraser whenever I make a mistake or what to change something. Is there any way to add a virtual eraser tip to the SPen, or is there an alternative stylus that can do this on the NotePRO?
There is a larger S Pen called the S Pen with eraser. That should work on the Note pro. On the back it has an eraser.

Has anyone tested the 8i (S Pen with Eraser)

I am also looking for a addition S Pen for my 12.2. I tried the Bamboo and it was way off target. It seemed that the point of the pen was off by approximately 1/16" of an inch. The problem is the sensor is too high up on the pen and when the pen was angled for normal writing the target would move down. I have not tried the 8i, I assume the same problem will exist. Has anyone tried this pen? I found one review that stated that it had the same problem as the Bamboo Stylus. Can anyone confirm compatibility?
I found an old (really old) tablet PC pen that works with the Notepro. It has an eraser and everything. The barrel is broken, so I am going to remove the guts and make my own pen. I haven't been able to find one that looks stylish so I hope to be able to.create what I want in a pen.
