Audio problems - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

So..before buying these Xiaomi Hybrid Pro HD earphones, I had some panasonics that worked perfectly
Now, whenever I try to listen to music using these xiaomi hybrid pro hd's on my redmi note 3 , the sound starts intrerupting in the right earbud.. it only happens when theres too much low bass or when the sound is above 50%.
I tried these headphones on my old s4 active, on my pc, and they work perfectly there.
Why is it that they only have problems on my redmi ? And why them? other headphones have no problems..
I tried updating with a new ROM, it still doesnt work. Im at 8.2.4.0 miui

anyone?

Try using a different pair of headphones on ur redmi, if the issue persists i recommend reflashing your rom

@AgentBuBu
I tried other headphones and they all work perfectly fine..instead of this one..
and ive also tried these xiaomi hybrids to my pc and a old samsung galaxy s4 active and they sound good there.
so idk what to do..

Check on the system built in sound effects for the headphones, tweak the settings in there, see if you can find any fix, if not, according to what you said that the device doesn't show any hardware issue related to the sound output, reinstall the rom. For this there are thousands of threads you can find detailing it step by step. Good luck

I tried to,but nothing really fixes it. I even updated my ROM from miui 7 ,7.1.99.99 *unofficial* to miui 8 official stable 8.2.4.0..and its the same. I did see on a youtube video a guy with a xiaomi reviewing some headphones..and he had this option called smth like " HD Audio" activated..it was right between the eq and miui sound improvement thing in the audio/headphones section..and I dont have it.. i think that might do the trick..but i cant find the video anymore ,and I dont know what miui he had. do u have a clue?

Issue sounds hardware related to the earphones. Do you have a case on your phone? Is the 3.5mm jack bent a bit by any chance? Maybe some pocket lint in the 3.5mm port? If all you've done software wise is updated MIUI it's highly likely it isn't going to do anything, you'd have to factory reset too.

Redmi Note 3 Pro Jack To Jack Problem

When I tried to use my phone as input source for my radio cassette player using a jack to Jack cable it did not play back to the radio instead on the thelephone, but if the first end of the jack would be first inserted into the phone and after inserted in the radio it worked in a strange way.It played back with lots of background noise and poor quality.I tried it again with my older xiaomi note 4G and it worked perfect like it use too before so both the cable and the radio are OK.So my question is why the phone does not work with the jack to Jack?
P.S. using normal headphones on my RN3 Pro works fine, good quality. Is this hardware problem or just a momenterly software error?
I thougt I was the only one with this problem! I really couldn't understand why it kept playing music on the phone and not on my car radio and why the selfie stick was not working (but this one started working after some plug-unpug). Anyone knows why?
P.S.: I had this problem on official China Dev and now again with Global Beta (6.3.18). Later I'm going to update to 6.3.31 I'll update if something changes

Same Problem here on 6.3.31 i am using SoundAbout to force the Phone to use the Audio Jack.
Common issue, use the app SoundAbout to manually switch the input source on the phone.
hi there,
i'm having same issue with jack to jack (aux) audio problem,
at first i think that my phone got factory defect,
after googling i saw more people having same issue
i already try to flashing my phone to MIUI8 v 6.8.18
and now with MIUI8 global stable v 8.0.1.0 the problem still there
it's so disappointing, xiaomi's crew didn't fix this bug
hope in the next update they can identify and fix this issue
p.s : already use soundabout but still not fixing the issue,
the output sound still broken anyway

Aux cable help.

Need big help here. I listen to songs on my car almost everyday. Now this redmi note 3 has a problem where it makes a hissing background noise when aux is connected. Seems like it's not supported with most of the aux cables. Confirmed that I'm not the only one on miui forums.
Now I need q suggestion which aux cable will be supported? Give a link or anything.

Yes I too have the same problem. Has anyone maybe tried a custom ROM? People are saying it's software issue, so maybe an AOSP rom may work?
Well it's fixed on cm13. But I love miui bored with cyangonemod

Wow this is really great news for me, so it is after all just a software problem Yeah, I had a Moto G2 earlier and this is the first time using MIUI and I gotta say I love it. The looks, the features, it has everything!
Flashing cm13 soon. Can you help me with unlocking the device? The boot loader will be unlocked if I'm on developer rom
?

Superman-Rom

I´m using this fantastic rom, but i have one annoying problem...
When I plug my headset (original from sansumg) the notification sound still plays through the phone speaker. Also i noticed that when i plug it, it doesnt show the headseat icon near the 4g icon.
You didn't mention your phone, but is it this rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-s7-edge-rom-v1-1-t3356699
If so, there does not seem to be anything within in the rom that would cause this as other members reported it worked for them and surely would have made others complain if it was an issue. Have you tested other headphones? If so, and they work in other devices then you will probably need to reflash or try another rom.

Sorry, my mistake.. but u´re right, that is the rom. I have a S7 flat!
The headphone is working because it plays normally the sound. It is just the notification sound that is being played through the phone speakers. I did try other headphones and the results are the same

No sound! How do I fix it?

Hello! I am on firmware 7.1.12 and Nitrogen OS and I have no sound from speakers. I have tried flashing other firmwares but I cannot get the sound to work again. Any suggestions?! Thank you!

Wipe chace dalvic ,reboot
I had this problem multiple times already (i think it was 3). I tried nearly everything, I actually installed stock MIUI, but it didn't work.
So what helped me, was just waiting. After about 24h, it suddenly worked again. I didn't find anything 'bout that problem on xda, so I just stopped searching for it, the other day it just worked again.
Good luck

I found a solution on the Miui forum. The trick was to play an audio file and insert and remove the headphones as fast as possible several times. Apparently, the headphone jack gets blocked or dirty and the phone "thinks" the headphone is plugged and that's why no sound comes out of the speakers. So, at least for me, it wasn't a software issue....
Let me know if that works for you.

I had exactly the same problem. I've tried as you adviced and boom it works now. Thanks!
But I think that this is only a shorthanded victory, because if there is something in the jack, it will eventually block the contact again. So I wonder, is there some reasonable way to clear your jack and perhaps USB? I think that compressed air might do, but I don't know for sure.
Anyways thanks for fixing my sound again.
Have a nice day.
Sound issue!!
coming out of the speakers in ringtones but whenever u tap on a mp3 file it says no supported apps....I installed a music player from play store but the song doesn't play...it says invalid format...
What shall I do

I am also having the same issue at first i couldn't hear others in my ear piece during a call. Now after some time the output through earphones also stopped . I have tried the above given idea of multiple times insertion of headphone 3.5 mm pin but then audio plays for 2 seconds then it stops. Please help

Your phone is stuck in headphone mode. Try to clean the headphone jack. If that doesn't solve the problem then use some app like SoundAbout or Audio Router.

Same issue here.
The phone, Note5 global, came with muted speaker. Tests acuse error. Tried plug/unplug jack several times. OS upgraded. After a reboot it start working and pass tests.
Yesterday it muted again. Was already upgraded to miui10 and was working fine. Tried again reboot and plug/unplug jack without success. Also tried reflash different rom. But it still mute and failing on tests.
Very disappoint a brand new phone came with those issues.

After having the very same issue, I just cleaned the jack up abit and it's fine now. So the dirt caused the phone to think that the earphones are still plugged in.
Redmi note 3 pro new buzzer install not sound. Please help.
Hello friends. Note 3 I received a new speaker because my speaker from my pro phone failed, but it didn't work. I returned and changed the product, but it didn't even have a single sizzle. I've reinstalled the old speaker, but it's working fine even though it's broken. There is a technical detail to be done during the installation of the buzzer. For example, if the speaker is not installed after the vibration module has been removed before the speaker is installed, the speaker does not work. Note that the vibration module of Note 3 pro was not sticky. It's not directly connected to the motherboard.

BT Sound Problem with B&O H9i

Hey,
ive got my new 7t Pro straight a few days back and what to say ? Im absolutley amazed from this smoothnes & speed of this device. Never see something else before.. Im coming from Samsung.
The Only thing that hurts is, that my BT Headset is much more silent on 7t Pro, then on my other Samsung devices (Note 9, Note 8(wife), S7e). No matter wich Sammy Device i tested..the sound is around ~30% louder and on top, the bass and the whole feeling of Sound ist much more flat then on Samsung.
What ive done so far:
Ive checked Dev Options, and all seems good. AAC Codec is Set, the Streamquality is set correct and yeah..looks good.
Ive installed and re-installed the B&O App, but makes no Difference, Sound is bad with and without this App.
And i tested these Options on Oneplus, DAtmos & Headphonesettings. No one of this things make anything better, i guess it was bader then before. Just saying, i never used DAtmos or smiliar on this BT Headset, because it sounds nearly perfect out of the Box for my ears. So just in case i would test it too, but no notable difference.

*Update*
Today, i called Oneplus & Bang and Olufson. Oneplus cant do much, but Bang and Olufsen says, must be a Softwarebug, cause they dont know any problems between oneplus & B&O. So maybe they can fix this with a future Update, must recall them tomorrow. However, if anyone hase the same Problem, please contact Bang and Olufson, you will get serios help and good support. Thank you all for your replies !
