Ok did successfully downgraded from H83020K to A.
Process is simple using LG UP on PC, use Upgrade . then pick your downloaded H83020a_00_1107.kdz and start.
If you wont able to open LG UP , you need update driver
google LGUP_Store_Frame_Ver_1_14_3.msi if after that wont openLGUP, download UPPERCUT 1.0.0.0 and repeat upgrade process.
worked for me

after i ran this, and the phone restarted and started updating, after 1% progress, i got a black screen with "Err:0x1111004"
the phone restarted into the older firmware without damage, any hints?
EDIT: i tried restoring all bloatware apps - did not work,
i also tried putting everything in place, unrooting and then starting the update - also did not work
Thanks a lot, the method worked like charm finally on official lollipop
can someone provide flashable zip for AT&T lollipop 5.0.2?
Could you please suggest a simple process to update AT&T LG G2 D800 running D80020y to Lollipop?
I was able to find the official Lollipop .zip file (LGD800_Android_Lollipop_D800.zip) for D800 on LG's website but wondering how to install it. The file is 0.98GB in size which is apparently a FULL ROM.

No, u cant flash it... it is the open source, not the rom, it will brick ur device...
u just need the 700mb file of the link, and put the comands (as the 2nd link explains).... will not take more than 5min

Oh, thanks for the info. So, the device needs to be rooted to proceed with this procedure?
I request you to add all the steps here at one place required to update from 20y to Lollipop on D800 by installing the OTA manually. The steps there look pretty confusing there.
Also, I'm unable to download the file from Mediafire. On clicking 'Authorize Download', it reloads the same page.
Will really appreciate your help! Thanks

Yes, the unrooted TOT file is in the tung kick thread, but if you want to unrooted to MM I have a 6.0.1 KDZ for lgh90021w on the at&t general thread named h90021w extract which will have the kdz.
I'm trying to get unroot on Lollipop. Then I will OTA to MM.

Might there be anyone here able and willing to update my stock G3 to Nougat, or at least Marshmallow, for a fee of course? I'm intimidated by the process as described here.
Look forward to any replies.

took me like 30 min to go from bricked to zva to nougat.
doesn't matter what FW you are on, just flash the ZVA TOT and then root using oneclick then install twrp with flashify or dd commands via adb shell and flash rom of choice.

missed that part lol....a lot of people suggest to just got to ZVA to root tho...i personally don't see why when the ZVC method works perfectly
I was on ZVF when I rooted too. Here's what I did:
1. Root LS990 ZVF Via Lg one click tool
2. Flashed TWRP via TWRP Manager from play store (make sure you flash the TWRP for LS990)
3. Flashed marshmallow ROM and Gapps
That's pretty much it it didn't take long to complete that whole process
Local or by mail - either way.

Please do. Some of us downloaded the Nougat file that was listed on lg-firmwares.com, but now we don't have LTE because it turns out is was for a carrier called Brightpoint. Our only hope to to download the full RS98821a KDZ file and see if it will flash on the phone.

You could instead download RS98811c_00_ARB01.kdz from the site (it's not the BPT version) and go through two updates to get to Nougat.

please use the following url to check the firmware version for your phone. Please replace <your imei number> with your imei number
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=<your imei number>
You will get a xml response in the browser as shown below
<sw_version>RS98811C_00</sw_version>
<sw_url>

<sw_locale_url/>
We need the url under the tag sw_url to download the nougat kdz. If you could help us out, it would be really great. Thanks
Since we already installed the BPT Nougat KDZ, its not letting us to downgrade to RS98811c_00_ARB01.kdz (marshmallow)

Someone over on Android Central said they posted the RS98821a update file (1.3GB). I downloaded it, but it is a .bin file, so not sure if it would be worth trying using LG UP, since my phone right now has the 10h (Brightpoint).

Yeah, I posted that. It was an OTA file. I'm not sure how you could use it in LGUP, but if I had to guess, it would be through the upgrade/update option. I would assume one would also have to already be on 11d.

Yeah, until LG updates their servers with the 21a version, it won't show on website no matter what IMEI from an RS988. Either have to wait for LG to update website or someone to post correct kdz file to use.
also getting 11c here and i am on 11d.
I think the only way to get the kdz would be if you were on the 11d and upgraded through the lg computer software

I tried that. It would always say that no update was available. The only update available was the OTA that I could only get from my phone directly.

If you're on BPT's 10h, have you tried going to BPT's 10d and THEN going 11c to get off BPT?
Also, you tried it in firmware update mode, correct? Powered off and unplugged > hold volume up button > plug in USB > wait.

I tried tonight, and the LG UP program can't read .bin files. I even tried to rename it as a .zip just to see what would happen, and still can't read it.
So a week later and LG hasn't posted the 21a link yet on their check esn page. I wonder how long this will take. If the KDZ isn't up in a couple weeks, I guess I'll have to contact LG and see about sending my phone in. Maybe they have a way to get it back to 11c or 11d so that the 21a will download and install.

Just go to Tec's tutorial page. Here.

When installing LGUP, follow the directions exactly. I missed the giving a file admin.
Downgrading Aristo 2 to Nougat
Install THIS version of LGUP, It does not require uppercut (make sure you do not run uppercut when using this LGUP) and supports almost all LG phones.
It also has many additional developer mode features.
Install LGUP Dual Mode(Dev/User) on your Windows PC
Download Aristo 2 10k firmware, available here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603847051
Once you have downloaded the 10K image, flash it using these instructions:
Install a specific .KDZ image to your LG phone using LGUP
If your phone was not originally an Aristo 2, but is a compatible cv1 phone and you don't mind turning it into an Aristo 2, flash the device using the Partition DL option, then select all partitions.
