[ROOT] Teclast Master T10? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently bought Teclast Master T10 Tablet but I can't find any way to root it.
I googled this, but the problem is that there is no TWRP for this device, so I can't flash Magisk.
Any idea or guide would be really appreciated!
Thank you all in advance!

Maybe someone can upload the files from that russian site to another file sharing site so we can get them. Thank you!

You can use the 4PDA android app to register and download. I was able to root my Teclast T10 just now. If you have a location where to upload the files I can do that as well.

TWRP for Teclast T10:
https://cloud2.zoolz.com/s-hd3KCVJg

Where can I find scatter file for flashing with spflashtool?
Or is there another way to flash the twrp recovery?

We cant flash without the scatterfile. Maybe it will get uploaded soon.

Here is is the scatter file.

Just noticed there is a new OTA available through TeclastOTA. What would be the steps to get this OTA installed?

It is IMPORTANT to flash also SuperSu in TWRP!
Otherwise BootLoop!

I have updated before flashing TWRP.
Anyone tried to update with TWRP and or Root?
Maybe it will help to flash stock Boot.img and Recovery.img from latest Version (before Update) from Needrom.

Could anyone post a guide to root Teclast T10? Is this guide correct?

How to root telcast t10
Can anyone please give me a step by step guide of how to root telcast t10 or at least remove everything to making it stock OS.
Thanks

First tried without doing anything extra. TeclastOTA boots into TWRP recovery and is not able to upgrade. I tried flashing the original boot and recovery afterwards but was unable to boot, it got stuck on the Teclast logo. You could probably flash the clean factory rom will become available on needrom but I don't wanna lose all my data.

Of course, it's ok.
In Russia forum they told to format data in recovery.
Otherwise you don't see any data with TWRP.
Worked for me.
Don't forget to flash also SuperSu or magisk, otherwise the system won't boot...

That's the one I followed and which works of you have the correct scatter and recovery.img as posted in this topic. I flashed Magisk instead of SuperSU though.

Maybe it goes through, if you unroot before.
Because SuperSu make changes in System Partition.
Or you can flash also factory System Partition too.

The reason I ask is that I have done the OTA Update today.
Are these TWRP and scatter file compatible?

Did you firstly get the OTA Update and afterwards you flashed TWRP and root?
In the Russian forum say that "Recovery compiled on the basis of the kernel firmware Android 7.0 version V1.24 / Wed Oct 11 20:24:36 CST 2017 "
After today's Update the kernel version is V.1.28_20171120

[Help][LP 5.1] Needed boot.img for 'stock recovery backup experiment'.

I am going to do an experiment(flashing TWRP.img on boot partition and trying to root.) to backup stock recovery.img of Lollipop 5.1. To do this, I need stock boot.img(Kernel Version: 3.4.42-gccbac57) of system version 23.26.2. If there's someone who rooted system version 23.26.2 then take backup of boot.img using Rashr App(Download from here forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334554 ) and post that stock boot.img here.
If this experiment succeed then I will post stock recovery.img of lollipop 5.1.
UPDATE: I'm not going to do this experiment because temporary booting of twrp is now working on moto e. We can root device by temporary booting twrp and backup stock recovery.img
isn't there anyone who rooted 23.26.2 ?
I have 23.21.34 version i can give you if you want...

It's simple, you just have to extract the boot.img from any ota zip (suggested the official OTA zip)
Do that and give him then.......it will be very good if he can make the 5.1 stock recovery

First of all, you must clarify who is referred to as 'him'?
Secondly, there is no method(according to me) by which you can make a stock recovery from a stock kernel. There are two files namely the boot.img and the recovery.img.
First one is the kernel and the second one is the recovery.
Use the ones you like.
Him meant the op
I don't know if one can make recovery from boot.img.......The op didn't say that either....He said and i quote "I am going to do an experiment to backup stock recovery.img of Lollipop 5.1. To do this, I need stock boot.img(Kernel Version: 3.4.42-gccbac57) of system "
So i thought by using some process he may be able to back up stock recovery....that is why i said like that
and BTW where are those .img files available @Rohitagni

U can find them in any zipped firmware files. By zipped firmware files, I mean the zips for stock firmware, or the update zips that many XDA users capture here from their rooted phones to help users who haven't received the OTA, enjoy the new OS, simply by sideloading.

I'm not making recovery.img from boot.img. I will use boot.img to make my device functional again because I'm going to flash TWRP.img on boot partition and try to root. If device gets root access then I can backup stock recovery.img because stock recovery.img is not over written in process of rooting.
I hope you succeed.........I try to get it from someone
And no @Rohitagni you can't extract boot.img from uploaded update zips but from full firmware zips, yes which is not available
I just saw in general section someone uploaded twrp backup of stock latest 5.1......I can flash that and give the boot.img tomorrow @EthicalHacker

I am extremely sorry, for misleading you guys! I just found out that the fsg.bin and the gpt.bin (with logo.bin, etc) are the only things that are available in those zips. So yes, @cksup, you are correct. Please provide him with the kernel, so that miracles can happen

We can't dump stock recovery without root access and moto e has only one rooting method which is flashing custom recovery on recovery partition. It means we lose stock recovery when we get root access.
That's why I'm taking risk of above mentioned experiment to backup stock recovery.

I could not find any custom Roms for your device.
I could find an stock Rom for the Mya-l41 trough.
Here is an link: https://mega.nz/#!wKpT1ZaS!CV-2E4sNnUwIurskAdqCDpDawWlZD2UeABtSELk_ffc
That should be an update.app or an flashable zip.
You may get Huawei Update Extractor and extract the system.img and boot.img of the update.app
After that flash system.img and boot.img from fastboot.
Warning. This may soft brick your device.
Good luck.

Fastboot flash system system.img
ok, so i found what i thought was a stock rom for my device on some spanish forum and used sp flash tool to install it
problem is, sp flash tool formatted my phone, but encountered an error trying to install the firmware and now my phone wont boot and windows says its not recognised
is there any fix to this? or is my phone bricked?
hey again! i know this post has been a wild ride of me doing stupid stuff and bricking my phone, but i got the firmware back!
only catch is that i'm receiving some nvram error (which i got on my previous phone too. i swear this is the last time im going mediatek), so if anybody has a method that can fix this it'd be highly appreciated
thanks
Hi, Ibxda.
Can you please share with us where you found the stock rom, what went wrong with flashing, and how you managed to get the firmware back?
I have a running system, but I rooted it and cannot apply official upgrades. I'd like to go back, upgrade and root again. I would appreciate the info on your progress.

You should root with Magisk, it's systemless and it should not affect updates. If you want to update you should flash stock recovery. After you updated you are free to flash Twrp again if you want. If you are rooted with SuperSU you should uninstall SuperSU and install Magisk

Rooted with Magisk, unable to receive OTA update. Help?

Hey!
A few months ago I rooted my Mate 10 Pro (UK version on Three) using that all-in-one tool. It installed TWRP and Magisk.
I've been having a pending OTA update for months and it fails when trying to install rebooting onto TWRP.
Is there a safe way to go back to stock recovery, let the phone update and then root back? (without wiping the whole thing?) If so, could you please guide me giving some very specific steps? Many thanks!
Use hrupdater 0.4 and twrp, but read well how to do it, if you are on a xloader2 version, you can't install xloader1 version. First read well all threads you can and then if you know what are you doing, update and root again. If you only want to update and you don't mind about root, install the stock recovery and unroot and update via OTA.
Huawei is a diificult smartphone for rooting in my view, be carefull and do all by your own risk, there are many people that have bricked this smartphone due to the lack of knowledge of what they were doing (and others due to bad luck of the downgrade of xloader)
My question is how can you flash to the lastest OTA EMUI 9.0 if twrp doesn't support emui 9.0.

Right, that's my main problem. If I wasn't rooted I could do the normal update through HiSuite or OTA. I'll click on those links you sent and read thoroughly. Thanks.
First restore stock recovery, flash this script in TWRP to do that https://mega.nz/#!8Swx3QaC!3JQ9imU70E9O1BxgO53Z754lGCZxCbKGgSHqvTEcXsQ
(assuming you haven't modified eRecovery as it will copy its ramdisk to recovery).
Secondly you can go to menu in System Updater and Download Latest full. That one will not fail to install. OTA can fail if you have modified ramdisk, kernel, system, vendor, product, cust (but not all are checked/patched in all OTA).
Full will not wipe data.

Yes. It will write eRecovery_ramdisk to recovery_ramdisk (these partitions are exactly the same, only different entrypoints).
So as long as you have not modified eRecovery_ramdisk by flashing TWRP to it, it will restore your stock recovery.

I noticed that the boot img included in the stock rom can be decompressed via zArchiver then, inside there is a file named "boot". There is no file extension maybe it is of ".bin" file format.

Waiting for more feedback
I have the same Oppo A5s (CPH1909), I'm Using MTK Easy Root By: JunioJsv®, To Tweak My Device, But not in full control..
For Ex:
Disable Some Apps - But not the All apps can be disable.. Some apps is Still Working when i already Disable it using Titanium Back Up..
Note: Root Privelage Is 100% Working
Lspeed - Tweak's is Working, But dont expect it to be applied in Boot, Since I'm Using MTK Easy Root "BOOTLESS Root" Only..
ToolBox - I'm Using this, To TurnOFF Start-Up Apps, Its Working 100% Sure..
But Don't Turn Off:
•Storage Manager - RAM/Performamce Drop
• Battery - RAM/Performamce Drop
•MediaStorage
•SystemUI
•ColorOS Launcher
•MultimideaLocalService - RAM/Performamce Drop
•Settings
•GameSpace - You Can't Add Games on it

try it! patch to magisk! https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/oppo-a5s-firmware-images-cph1909ex11a-34-t4064627
I can make roms and recoveries for this phone but anybody unlocked bootloader? Search for some hacks to unlock bootloader of this phone ?
It's impossible to patch and root Oppo A5s with your current version of Oppo A5s. But I think the other and only way to do that is to avoid the update security version that stops its users to bypass and root Oppo A5. So first, you will need to downgrade your current version. I have successfully patched the older version of stock firmware image of Oppo A5s named CPH1909_EX_11_A34 with latest Magisk Manager. Like usual, download, extract and patch the boot.img.
So the idea here is once you made yourself a patched file you can now use it flash in order to downgrade your device and make it rootable than ever. Then, you will need unlock it's bootloader in order install TWRP Recover to make stuffs flashable.
I'm sorry I can't put links in here yet because I'm a new registered acct here in xda. For the rest of the steps, just google "How to Downgrade Your Android Phone to a Previous Version".
I haven't completed the whole process yet but soon, I will in my free time. Hope it helps?
so, to sum it all up. its not possible to have an alternative rom (android 9 at all?) on this phone model? particular cph1909....

Installation update error

Hi using latest updated stock rom with root..
Magisk
New August update doesn’t install..
Before i used to install updates in root..
Now cant..
Help..
Do you have twrp installed and if so did you flash any mods to the system?
If no mods were installed just flash the stock boot.img for your firmware version using fastboot and reboot and apply the update

Custom recovery that's why you cant install. Ota updates don't usually work with a custom recovery installed. You will have to flash stock boot.img there is a whole thread about this and all versions of the stock boot.img here https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/how-to/guide-how-to-root-mi-a3-magisk-t3958509/page43
You were even the last person to comment on that thread
My build..

same but different problem.
I'm having somewhat similar problem here, but the thing is, I'm using stock mi a3, without any custom bootloader, twrp, rom, etc.
currently in version 11.0.17.0.QFQMIXM
trying to install the august security update that was supposed to be version 11.0.20.0
updater showed the august update as 464mb, which is weird as its supposed to be 34mb or so.
any help from the experts here are kindly appreciated.
I have no custom recovery, or magisk but have same problem
So I solved the problem as I love root .. I had to loose recovery sharp... Now I have no recovery . I flashed stock ROM of Build 19 and installed the latest OTA . After then I extracted the boot image of stock ROM then I patch stock boot image of latest build.i got now root with magisk with no recovery . I hope I can install future OTA with the method..
If u can't install u must have to flash fastboot..
I have tried restoring stock boot.img of build 19.. but doesn't installed.. although I removed custom recovery but still couldn't install OTA..
