Qualcom quick charge wireless charger? - Nexus 6 Accessories

Does this exist? The usb port on my phone is very unreliable. I might have to switch to wireless charging with this phone sooner or later, and I know that the Nexus 6 is finicky about which wireless chargers it will work with and such. So are there any on the marker right now that support the Nexus 6s turbo charge? I'm really in the dark with what accessories are even out there for this device, so bear with me here lol

Walmart has a quick charging block manufactured by Blackweb. It is supported by Qualcomm technology 3.0 and is backwards compatible. It comes with 2 standard micro USB ports. It runs around 15 dollars.

The one I am talking about is wired, standard charging type. But if you want to go wireless then that would suffice.

Wow! Would this actually charge the Nexus 6 with quick charge? Does the conductive charging in the Nexus 6 support rapid charging wirelessly? Because $15 sounds NICE!

The $15 block is wired, it works great especially with a kernel that supports USB fastcharge. It charges the battery in about an hour from 15%.

The Nexus 6 does not support the latest fast charging on Qi wireless chargers. In the car, wireless charging can't even keep up with the drain of screen-on navigation and streaming music over bluetooth for me.

QI Fast Charge is not supported by the Nexus 6, I have one, charging at standard rates

The Nexus 6 does not have Quick charge capabilities using the Qi Wireless Charger. It only supports the slow wireless charging.
Even if you use a QC Fast Charger Wireless charger, it will still charge at 5v @ 1amp or less. My Nexus 6 usually does 600mAh and it takes a while to charge.

Google dropped that method forever ago, now all of their products support Wireless Qi Charging, at least everything in the past from Nexus 4 onwards has.

It's not listed as a spec anywhere.
I would be surprised if N9 wont support Qi.

Wireless charger question.

I am new to the nexus 6 and I have a wireless charger I bought for me G2. It came with a wireless pad and cable. It says to use the charger your phone came with.
Well our Nexus 6's come with the super chargers...
Is it OK to use the wireless charger pad with our power chargers? Or should I purchase a 2 amp (or something different) charger to use with the wireless pad?
Just looking for advice. Thank you.

You can use the g2 charger as-is. It will just be slow. Won't damage the phone..
Well I sold the g2 with the charger. So I have the charger the nexus 6 came with. I am fine with slow charging as I put it on the pad then sleep at night. I just don't want to burn something up because we have the new style chargers. Maybe I'm wrong but I wanted to ask. Better safe than sorry.

The turbo charger adapts to what it is connected to... I charge my sony sw3 smartwatch with the turbo charger every night. It doesn't feel any faster.

This is probably the best one to use for QI Chargers.
I have about 5 of them I use for the 2 QI Chargers I have and for traveling.
I contacted the manufacturer of my qi charger and they said that I needed a 1.8 amp minimum charger to work the 3 coil system. They actually sell a 2 amp add on one. They had the answer all along.. I appreciate all the responses and help.

The standard turbo charger of the N6 has a capacity of 1,6 A. When the device connected is suitable for turbo (like the N6) it switches to turbo mode 1 or to mode 2 by setting the Volt to 9 or 12 V, but only when the battery is charged below 78%.
The wireless QI charging pads from China are connected to chargers with a capacity of 1 A. at 5 V.
This way of wireless charging works for my Nexus devices..
Has anyone tried the Unicorn Beetle case with the VÜ wireless charging car mount?
I ordered it, really hope it fits... Really nervous!

You can use an QC 2.0 charger on any phone without issues. The phones/devices PCU (power control unit) controls the output and pulls what it can from be charger. I have 5 or 6 QC 2.0 chargers including 3 Motorola 'turbo' ones and some others. I use these to power my qi pads, charge external batteries, charge my Huawei Watch (formerly charged my LG Urbane) and I've never had any issues at all.

is there a fast charge wireless pad availble?

i think Samsung is coming out with one but wasn't sure if one was available on the market now?
For that to happen, the Nexus 6 would need to support the new Qi 15w fast wireless charging standard. Does it do so? If not, a charging pad that does won't do squat.

That's a new standard that the Nexus 6 doesn't support to the best of my knowledge. It's only on the Note 5 and S6 currently but I can foresee it coming to the next Nexus phone

It's not both together. It's just a faster version of wireless charging. About as fast as normal charging (non-QC).

Samsung might be using a similar standard to the 15W qi charging that should be making its way to other phones shortly.

That may be true, but it would still not even charge as fast as QC2.0. You have to remember that Qi only has a 60-70% efficiency. Going up to 15W even with 3 coils will have the same efficiency.

Wireless charger

Any information on the new wireless chargers? Seeing as it's $90 vs last years model with can be had for much less, is there that much of a difference?

How can these be so cheap?? Are they safe?
With the Nexus 6P, the charging cables are USB C on both ends. Are the samsung cables the same way? Are these wireless chargers USB C or micro usb?

I have 3... Great so far. One at work, one at home, one with my gf. I think they have to compete with the samsung chargers that are flooding eBay.
This is the one I use myself on the S7 Edge, it does fast charging and uses a USB-C cable:

Its best advantage of galaxy s6 , s7 and and galaxy edge model have a wireless charger .
I was looking for a Qi "Docking Station" and found the Samsung Qi charging stand "open box" deal on Amazon and could not pass it up at $25 shipped. Only had it 24 hours and seems pretty decent on an S6 Edge Plus. Uses a standard micro-USB not the USB-C.

When I got it the seal on the factory box was opened, but the unit appeared brand new, came with everything else sealed and even had all the protective wrap on it.
2 brand new white ones for $43 from samsung.com
How much slower do the 'fast' wireless chargers charge it vs the stock usb c cable charger? Last time i tried it was on my S5 and its so much slower than charging with a cable that it just wasnt worth the minor reduction in hassle of not having to plug in the cable, but if it was charging almost as fast then it might be worth it.

Probably wasnt. But I havent seen any data on how fast the fast wireless charging is vs fast cable charging. I suspect the wireless is still much slower but if not then I will probably look to pick up a good charger for it.

Its pretty fast I tested it with my S6 and Note 5 last year. I dont have the exact numbers but its much faster than regular wireless charging. I don't recall if it was as fast as plugging it in but it's pretty close.

Ok I found something on the S7 Edge saying 9% to 100% took just over 2 hours on fast wireless and 90 mins with cable. Not too bad but cable still over 33% faster. I think they said the s8 had slightly faster wireless charging than the s7 but didnt say by how much or provide any data on it.
In this review of the new wireless charger it shows that its plug is rated for both 5V at 2A or 9V at 1.67A, so it should support 15 watt charging, for QC 3.0 speeds. Wish they weren't $90, I need two of them...

Magnetic charger

Are there any magnetic chargers that will support dash charging? I want to keep from damaging the USB-C port for as long as possible.
There's not one available.
I have a magnetic charger and when used with the OEM charger, the cable heats up to the point of almost burning my fingers.

You can use the magnetic charger with a quick charge charger or any other charger and it will be fine.
I'm using a Samsung Fast Charger and have no issues, the device still charges full overnight and it's pretty quick, just not as quick as the OEM set up.
Ok I still have a quick charger from my Nexus 6, but don't know how it has scaled throughout the years in terms of what's considered "quick".
I used more then one year magnetic cable from Wsken on OP 5T. It has only charge, no data. And I have no issue, heating, damages. But in this case I don't have a supercharge. I have charge current about 1.3- 1.4 ampers.

If you use just the cable and not the OEM block it doesn't cause heating issues, I get heating issues if I use the OEM block with the wsken cable. It happens periodically so not sure what causes it.
If you use the Wsken mini2 +j OnePlus cable + wsken adapter dash charge will work. So will data transmission.
I'm using the PZOZ ones I got off AliExpress, link. I have them from my LG V20 days, and no issues with it - using the same cables across my mouse, portable battery, ipad, and phone.
They have an upgraded version here, but I have not needed them yet as the current ones charges my 6T as quick as it should.

well, i don't have any exact specs or accurate data, all the specs i have are as per the weblink. the new version supports up to 5A. for me, the older version which i have supports up to 2.1A i think but works well for me. no fires or any hazards so far.
I don't think there is a dash charge wireless. All wireless chargers are slow, for now..
