No it is not

Welcome.

ob1 rom does not boot. when u choose magisk, it goes into a blackscreen when it's magisk's turn to install and nothing happens.
when u uncheck magisk, it finishes installing but when u reboot it goes back into recovery.
I am decrypted w codeworkx recovery
edit: I think the problem is something w the boot.img
I flashed the blu kernel for OOS Oreo and booted up now

JUST clean flashed 4.7.6 v1.0 from FREEDOMOSv2.1.
I only did system&cache wipe and remove screen lock before reboot to twrp.
Installation goes smoothly, and FYI Magisk verison is 15.1 not 15.2 in your 476v1.0 build, not a big deal though.
And build number is setting only say TheOne5TOS, missing v1.0 I guess.
-----
edit:
just take a look in the zip, I found dns setting from build.prop, which is not an option shows in aroma installer, hope it comes optional in the future.

I had big problems with bootloops and black screens, so the steps I used to get this to finally work were:
Flash ROM
Flash Blue Spark kernel 77 for Oreo
Flash Magisk manually (I skipped that in Aroma).
Prob doesn't matter which Magisk you have if you are stuck in recovery, you can update after you boot.
Everything seems to be ok and I am now restoring apps.

Custom Roms/Kernels come without warranty. They are tested before release but something always can go bad. So if you broke your phone or you got fired because the alarm didn't rang - IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM!

For now it's all working well.
It's more fast than before with stock B320.
Must test it
Once installed is there any way to unroot it? Rooting stops my bank application working.

CyanOxy OS is a unique combination of Cyanogenmod and Cyanogen OS apps with an Oxygen OS base which enhances speed, utility and aesthetics. Optimized for stability and fluidity, it provides a smoother and richer experience than stock OOS. The CM apps only make it better providing enhanced functionality. I built this ROM primarily for my own use, since I love the Cyanogenmod apps but I always end up going back to Oxygen after a few weeks of staying on CM.
Features:
-Based on the latest Oxygen OS
-Fully debloated (list of removed apps are in post 3)
-Pre rooted and busybox installed
-Deodexed
-Zipaligned
-Viper4Android (thanks to ViPER520)
-No need to flash Gapps, the important ones are pre-installed
-Fully functional Trebuchet launcher
-DPI set to 360
-Build.prop tweaks for better battery life, performance and networking.
Cyanogenmod and Cyanogen OS apps:
-File Manager
-Trebuchet
-Browser
-Music Player
-LockClock
-Boxer Email
-Boxer Calendar
-Screencast
-Sound Recorder
-CM Gallery
Installation instructions FOR V1.0
-Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik using TWRP
-Flash the OOS 2.2.1 Stock ROM zip, followed by CyanOxy OS v1.0
-Reboot
-Do NOT select Swiftkey during the set up (since I've removed the app. You can install it from the play store later.)
-If your installer gets stuck at "Checking connection", go back, reconnect to your WiFi and then continue.
INSTALLATION FOR V2.0 ONWARDS
FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY OR ELSE YOU WILL END UP WITH A SOFT BRICKED DEVICE.
-Wipe data, cache, system, dalvik from TWRP
-Flash stock OOS 3.0 Beta (http://downloads.oneplus.net/2016-03-30/op2/OnePlus_2_OxygenOS_3.0_Beta/). DO NOT REBOOT.
-Flash modified recovery img (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995297945)
-Reboot into recovery from TWRP
-Wipe data, cache, dalvik AGAIN and then flash stock OOS 3.0 Beta AGAIN
-Flash CyanOxy OS 2.x Beta zip
-Reboot
-Select Trebuchet as default launcher (If you want to use Oneplus Launcher, you will have to delete the trebuchet folder from system/priv-app with the twrp file manager and then reboot.
For v3.0:
1)CyanOxy 2.x users or official CM13 users or similar roms based on the 3.x firmware, first clean flash the stock rom zip followed by CyanOxy 3.0
2)Users of OOS 2.x or older cm and aosp based roms that require the 2.x firmware, follow the steps given above for flashing CyanOxy 0S v2.2 BETA and up. Flash the latest OOS 3.0.2 zip followed by CyanOxy 3.0
The OOS 3.0.2 full rom zip: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572388905583156
If you encounter a black screen on first boot, force shut down (keep the power button pressed) and then reboot.
If you're coming from v2.x you can dirty flash v2.3.
TO USE V4A, GIVE ROOT PERMISSIONS TO SELINUX CHANGER AND CHANGE IT TO PERMISSIVE. THEN OPEN V4A, INSTALL THE DRIVER, REBOOT. (Thank you @MrBIMC for the SELinuxModeChanger app)
Recommended but not necessary:
(Currently only supports v1 of this ROM)

FAQ:
1) Any bugs? - Nope. If you find anything, please let me know.
2) Shelf does not work? - Will work if you re-enable the stock launcher. Read point 12 for more details.
3) Why can't I hide apps using Trebuchet - The protected apps feature will only work on a cm based ROM. If you really want to hide your apps from your mom/girlfriend, download Nova Launcher or anything similar. You could even try your luck with some xposed modules.
4) I don't like XYZ app - Use ES File explorer or any other root explorer and navigate to system/app or system/priv-app and delete the respective file. Reboot.
5) I want the original DPI back - Go to your system/build.prop and search for the line and change it to ro.sf.lcd_density=480 (480 is the stock value and can be changed to any other value.) (THE LINE IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BUILD.PROP WITH AN LCD DENSITY TITLE)
6) ETA? - I'm preparing for entrance exams and I have tests almost everyday so I might be a bit late with releases, but they'll surely come.
7) Why don't you include Boeffla's kernel with the ROM? - The kernel is constantly updated and I'd prefer that you guys flash the latest zip and install the latest apk instead of me bundling it with the ROM.
8) Can I buy you a cup of coffee by donating? - I appreciate the gesture but I'm only doing this as a hobby. I'm not a very knowledged developer and this is my first ROM. Thank you, but you could buy yourself a coffee/beer if you like this ROM
9) Bug Reports - Please be specific and clear. Before you report a bug, uninstall xposed or any other mods that you've installed. Although the ROM is 100% functional with xposed, there could be errors caused due to certain modules. Logs would be appreciated.
10) ROM doesn't flash? - Flash stock OOS first after wiping, and then flash the ROM. If it still doesn't work or you're getting some error, provide me with a TWRP log (from the advanced section in TWRP)
11) Can we use cm themes and cm theme chooser? - No, you can't. That only works on cm based ROMs. Use the stock dark themes provided by Oneplus.
12) Oxygen OS launcher not working?- In OOS 3.0, Oxygen has baked in lockscreen wallpaper changing functionality into the OOS launcher, so I can't delete it. Set your lock wallpaper from system/display/wallpapers. One of the "wallpaper" options will give you a choice between home and lock screen. If you want to keep the OOS launcher, you must delete the Trebuchet launcher from system/priv-app and reboot.

14) How do I revert to CM13?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/guide-helper-zips-to-switch-oos-3-0-oos-t3351253
If you have any more questions, feel free to post here or PM me
My suggestions for a balanced boeffla kernel profile:
IO scheduler=bfq
Touchboost: 960mhz on the A53 cores, 864mhz on the A57 cores, 800ms duration.
Read ahead size=2048
A53: Elementalx, 4 cores
A57: zzmoove, 1-4 cores
Thermal Profile: Thermal performance (use relaxed if you don't play any games)
If you mirror my ROM, please mention me in the post so that I can put the link in the OP
Also, whatever you do, please don't quote the OP. Thank you.

Which ROM did you have on your phone before trying this?
The first boot can take about 15-20 minutes, so please be patient.
Anyways, please do this:
Flash stock OOS (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911976356)
Wipe system, data, dalvik, cache
Then flash this ROM
Tested and working

It's a fully debloated Oxygen OS with Cyanogen apps included. It'll have the CM launcher, email app, file manager and most other apps (check the OP for the full list)
There's no theme support (except for the dark themes from Oneplus).

Yup I just tested it again, it doesn't boot if you install it after a cm13 build. You have to flash stock OOS firsts.
Updated the install instructions in the OP.
Thank you
Good work, I did back to full stock yesterday.
So I can flash it and try. Thank you
Hey. Thank you for your firmware! I do not really like audiofx, no sense from it. Can you throw stock audio tuner to replace the audiofx?

Open the Mega folder
Download audiotuner and audiotunerservice apps from the priv-app folder
Then use ES file browser to move them to your system/priv-app folder
Give them rw-r-r permissions
Delete AudioFX folder from priv-app
Reboot
everyone did as you wrote, but audiotuner flies and does not work correctly

OpenGapps: Not Supported anymore, use @razorloves gapps.
First time installing crDroid to your PixelXL, or coming from another ROM:
**NOTE** As you probably know by now, marlin (and sailfish) is weird. You must be on TWRP 3.2.0.0 to install this! 3.2.1.0 does not allow ROM installation. 3.2.0.0 does not encrypt properly, so you must remove your PIN/password before booting to and / or installing it. These installation instructions will assume you already know and have done that.
**NOTE** You are also able to use 3.2.1.-2 (3.2.0.0 or 3.2.1.-2)(Nothing in between)
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip & vendor img to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash TWRP ***If you do not do this, you will lose TWRP!***
6) Reboot back into TWRP
7) Flash vendor image
7a) Mount vendor partition, navigate to vendor/overlay and delete that folder
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk 16.2
If you like music like I do and want to make it better, see post #3 for instructions on installing ViPER4Android.
Instructional Video
I Apologize about video quality, but this will help get you an idea of the steps involved.
Steps are the same for Marlin and Sailfish. Use corresponding files for device.
https://youtu.be/mmxIrp7BiRk
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES
None yet, If you find something that is consistently reproducible, do so and pull a log. Without logs, we cannot fix the bugs. Please report any that you run into, assuming you have tested on a clean install. :good:
NOTE ON SUBSTRATUM
We currently do not have substratum commits in the ROM because they have not updated their repos on git for Oreo. As such, if you want to use Substratum, you will be doing so by allowing root and using legacy mode. you -must- make sure whatever theme you try supports 8.1. Even some that say they support Oreo may only work with 8.0, not 8.1. I'd recommend the following:
Suggestion: whenever installing themes, remove your pin/password so you can get TWRP to mount data.
If you get in a FC/bootloop situation, boot to TWRP, mount data and remove the file /data/system/overlays.xml.
That should allow you to boot and uninstall the overlays without reinstalling anything.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files
Thanks to:
- @razorloves - Without his device tree and kernel bringup to work from, crDroid for marlin would not be possible at all. Apart from the ROM development itself (for which @neobuddy89 bears the largest burden, in addition to the great developers of LineageOS itself), credit for this ROM being able to even build goes to razorloves.

I already said it in my post above, but feel it needs repeating. HUGE thanks to @razorloves , without whose marlin bring-up this ROM would still not be built.

If you like music as much as I do and prefer to use Viper4Android, install it as follows:
0) This requires Magisk; install Magisk 15.2 (as of 1/9/2018)
1) Using a root explorer (I prefer FX File Explorer), navigate to /system/system/priv-app/AudioFX and rename AudioFX.apk to AudioFX.BAK. Reboot.
2) Install three Magisk modules:
a) Magisk SELinux Permissive Script (Get it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magisk-selinux-permissive-script-t3577549)
b) Busybox for Android NDK v1.27.2 by osm0sis (Get it from Magisk downloads in the Magisk app)
c) ViPER4Android FX v2.8 by ahrion, zackptg5 (Also from Magisk downloads)
3) Reboot.
4) Enjoy your better music!
Sweet thanks
Awesome! I know I asked this on the nougat version, does the unlimited photo storage work? I noticed on the unofficial LOS rom by @razorloves it's been enabled, but I wanted to confirm. I'm still running nougat because I've been waiting for an oreo rom that has DUI.

It -says- it does in Photos. However, it said it did in Nougat, but never did actually work in any LOS / LOS-based ROM. It took up storage space even though the Photos app said back up all you want with Pixel. Therefore I can't promise full functionality. The app does say it works though.

@hokiealumnus After flashing Rom and Twrp, then I hit reboot to recovery, its says "No OS Installed" on the reboot screen. Is that normal?
*Update*
For those of you that get stuck at this point and run into bootloops, instead of Wiping Cache, System & Data manually, just simply hit "Factory Reset" instead. and continue with OP's flashing instructions and you should be good.
Thanks so much, Hokie! Packed with features, really appreciate all of the detailed instructions! Thank you!

Aye, that is normal. It just means you don't have vendor installed, which you can't do until rebooting back to TWRP (so it switches slots).
Factory reset does not wipe system partition. If you are coming from a different ROM, when you switch slots, you are leaving a different ROM on your inactive slot. Not a huge deal, but I don't recommend it.
Edit - The best way to avoid stressing about that is to allow the reboot, but interrupt boot (pwr + vol down), and go right to recovery from the bootloader.

Maybe? I haven't tried installing one yet. ElementalX has always worked well in the past, indeed I always built nougat crDroid with it. Just haven't tried it on Oreo.
If you want to try installing it, worst it will do is bootloop. Just dirty flash (wipe only cache/system, leave data, repeat normal install) back to the included kernel.

Good idea to read the F.A.Q before installing
Q : Will it work on A51,M30,A70 or any other device ?
A : Clearly, No.
Q : How to root ?
A : The image comes pre-rooted with the latest Magisk 22. Boot normally and it should boot rooted.
Note: GSI Users must use the phh superuser app instead of magisk manager.
Q : How to update magisk version?
A : You can't. Wait for me to build a new kernel with the latest magisk
Q : Bootloops after updating magisk version from magisk manager
A : Told ya. It's my job to update the magisk in kernel. Just reflash the kernel and you should boot fine.
Q : How to flash?
A : Via Odin - install tar as AP (Read instruction!)
Via Recovery - Flash the zip normally.
Q : Camera working?
A : Yes
Q : Phone rebooting to splash screen after installation
A : Make sure you have the latest BL and CP installed from CUBC update Also flash multidisabler, just in case.
Q : Stuck at Samsung bootanimation after formatting data and reboot
A : Reboot manually with button combo
Q : How is battery backup / performance ?
A : After thorough testing I'd say battery backup is good with great performance
Q : Will it work on xyz rom ?
A : Normally it should. But if you can't, update your software and try again.
Q : Will it void warranty ?
A : Yes. Flashing any image not signed by samsung requires an unlocked bootloader and it voids warranty, as per your country restrictions.
Q : Cannot flash the tar via Odin
A : Enable OEM Unlock in developer settings and unlock your bootloader from download mode.
Q : Will I receive OTA from samsung or secure folder, Samsung Pay work ?
A : No!
How to pass Safetynet ?
Before I tell you that, remove all the SafetyNet-related modules that you might have installed and reboot.
If you have used the MagiskHide props module and changed your device fingerprint/have enabled device simulation Make sure you reset your props to default & disable any of the device simulations. Revert any changes that you may have made with it.
Finally, install this module from Magisk
Click to download
To pass SafetyNet, you need to enable magisk hide and hide magisk manager so that 3rd party apps cannot detect the package.
This module bare is enough to pass SafetyNet
However, if the changes you have made are hard to revert and you cannot pass SafetyNet with it, I think a clean flash of the ROM + this module would be a good start. Again, do not use MagiskHide Props with android 9 fingerprints. It really isn't a good idea. If you use the above module, you'll rock with the stock fingerprints

Shut down ur device then directly use vol+ and power button together like you want to get into recovery mode, but don't keep holding the vol+, just press on the power button Like you're on a normal boot, it gonna boot with root access.
Flashed on a canadian SM-A505W with latest BTK1 firmware.
No issues, working great.
No random reboots.
Thanks!
I have tried GOOD! it works, If you want to root it, You must install magisk manager before reboot to recovery from TWRP recovery.

Hi guys! First, thanks a lot for this guide and all the work done. I'm trying to check if my phone is rooted finally. I start the phone with power + vol up keys and then i tried with Root checker and Terminal apps, but in both cases it didn't confirm the root. I'm wondering if maybe the method used by @mohitmallick17 is different. Is there another way to check the root? Thanks a lot!

3.- Reboot in Recovery Mode
4. - Flash the Zip
5. - Reboot to System & Enjoy!
Note: If you are coming from stock rom (Official Binary) then you must format data in TWRP and flash multidisabler to remove encryption and Samsung securities in the system itself. Otherwise you may find incorrect available space in internal memory or your userdata may keep getting encrypted on every reboot.

Make sure you are booting into recovery, because reboot to system wont get u root
When I boot into Recovery, TWRP is loading, when I boot into system, it's unrooted and magisk is invisible.
hi noob here, is the "vbmeta.tar" extracted from the stock rom?
i run a quick google search about "vbmeta a50" and come up with no useful result
