Lg P769 Stuck on Boot Screen. Bricked?? - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

I had flashed a custom ROM on my phone maybe a few months or a year back. I think I remember trying to reflash it trying to fix some bugs but it ended up getting stuck in a boot loop. I think after several tries it booted into TWRP recovery and I had factory reset it (these details might be a little fuzzy as I tried all of this months ago just never got around to posting this since I needed to focus on schooling) but now when I try to boot it, it just boots to the LG logo screen and gets stuck. I can boot into S/W upgrade mode and I had tried to restore it using the LG support tool but it recognizes it as the latest version and will not reset the phone. So right now I am at a loss and need some help to restore the phone and to hopefully flash it again. Thank you!

SGH-I257M Soft Brick

I just recently got a S4 mini (SGH-I257M). I was trying to root it a few days ago (I think I accidentally used a file for the other models of the S4 mini) and after a reboot, my phone got stuck in a bootloop. I can boot into recovery but every time i select an option the screen flashes and goes back to the main recovery screen. I can boot perfectly into download mode though. I have tried flashing many stock ROMs but they all say FAIL on odin. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Kernel crash, boot loop, nothing works!

I've had my Optimus G rooted for a while now, and I had recently updated to Cyanogenmod 11 M3 and after a few weeks of good use, my phone crashed for no reason. There was a green screen that said Kernel Crash, demigod fail or something and some other stuff. Told me to press up to do this, down to do this, power to do this…. Anyways the phone wouldn't boot up after that. It was stuck on the LG logo. I could only get it into fast boot and download mode but from fast boot there was no way to get to recovery or regular boot. I found the TeenyBins post and tried to fix it using both of the .bins they had but at 85% the phone tried to boot up and was stuck on the LG logo again. Then I found the stock .bins and tried to flash them over, yet I got the same result. I've tried everything I can think to do, if anyone has any suggestions, please please help.
Teenybins don't have an OS. Did you try to get into recovery after flashing them? Doing a hard reset after stock bins may get it to boot, but internal storage will be wiped. For future reference in the demigod screen the buttons are backwards.
After flashing Teenybin I can boot into fast boot, but from there when I select recovery it goes back to the logo. Same thing happens if I select the other options. It's the google logo, not the LG logo, because the Teenybin I most recently tried was the alternate file

If you are already in fastboot, download any recovery (CWM or TWRP) extract it, rename it to recovery.img from the zip and then go to the folder where you have adb and fastboot bins and type:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
from there you'll be able to access recovery.
Thank you for the help, I was going to try that last night after reading your post but I took it to the AT&T store and they said they would replace it for free (warranty). I appreciate the quick response time.

[Q]

Hello everybody, I have a optimus zone that I am trying to fix. When I first aquired it it was stuck in a boot loop. Was able to put it in download mode and after finding about 5 or so drivers (seperately) i was able for lg support tool to put an upgrade on the phone. When it was done it was still in boot loop. I set the phone aside for a few days and when i came back to it it was not in boot loop and went to the activation screen on the phone, but before i could do anythin the phone force closed process after process after process includes the launcher that runs the phone. So i did another firmware upgrade to the phone and it is now stuck in boot loop again but this time it is not fixing it self. I cannot get into recovery mode like it doesnt have one, since the beginning i was unable to get recovery mode. What i am looking for is any help and where i can find recovery"s for the phone and the phone"s stock rom files. I have looked everywhere and for the life of me i can not find any recovery modes or stock roms for this phone!

stuck on twrp logo after reset

My phone is a verzon note 2 on deodox 4.3 with twrp recovery. The phone only boots to teamwin logo and flickers on and off. my computer will not recognize my phone either at this point. This is what happened. Ive been having some 4g lte loss and unstable wifi issues to i decided to do a factoty reset. when i rebooted into recovery i was stuck at the twrp logo and it would constantly bootloop the twrp logo.. I restarted my phone and did a factory reset from under the general setting. At that point it rebooted int the twrp but continued to just stay at the logo and would not go into recovery. I pulled the battery and restarted the phone but from that point on it would only boot into the twrp logo and stay there. I can get into download mode but my pc (win7) no longer recognizes the phone so i cant attempt to fix this in odin. Im not sure what to do to get this phone to work properly at this point.

My guess is that when you rooted with CASUAL, it changed the Samsung device driver on your computer and you need to reinstall the Samsung driver to get the computer to recognize the phone again in download mode.
Underneath step 7 of section 1b on Droidstyle's restore guide, he discusses issue with CASUAL replacing the Samsung driver... and he gives a link to Jeremy Loper's fix... "If odin no longer recognizes your device, most likely Casual killed the driver for odin!! follow this tutorial for restoring the driver: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzghcV8HVVk"
Once the computer recognizes the phone again, you should be able to use ODIN to restore back to 4.1.2 so you can root/unlock again with CASUAL. After you get the phone restored with Odin, I would recommend booting into Stock Recovery and wiping cache/doing factory reset before running Casual again... this would enure you are starting over with a totally clean slate.
If the above doesn't work, then here's a thread where I tried to help someone else who couldn't get their computer to recognize the phone.... maybe some of those ideas will help - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55833998
Good luck!!
1 step forward two steps back. I got my pc /odin to recognizes my note 2(changed usb cords). Then tried to odin back to stock 4.1.2. At first odin kept saying (odin not responding) and would ask to close the program, after several attemps i final got it to flash the 4.1.2 file. When i flashed the file and was at the point where it reboots, it would not get past the samsung note 2 logo and continued to flicker and not boot up even when i tried to put it into download mode like it said to in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024207. When i tried to reflash the file it failed. when i attempted again it just hangs at setupconnection. Tried again and it failed. Btw thanks for the help mattnmag.
Got it working! i simply forgot to place the sch-i605 pit. into the pit section of odin when i flashed the 4.1.2 rom.
Similar problems
I was running AllianceROM 26. My phone had been spontaneously rebooting for a bit recently. Today, it started to spontaneously reboot again, but this time, it never got past the Galaxy Note 2 screen. After pulling the battery, I tried to boot into TWRP. It just hangs on the twrp boot screen for a few minutes but never goes into twrp.
I figured I would try taking it back to stock. So, I used ODIN to try and put 4.1.2 on it and a new PIT file. That appeared to work fine. I got no errors in ODIN. However, I still cannot get this thing to get past these boot screens, either the Galaxy Note 2 one or TWRP when I try that there. I have tried this twice now, once with re-partition checked and another time with re-partition unchecked (saw conflicting instructions on that so I figured I would try it both ways). I still am not getting past the boot screen.
Any help or ideas are appreciated as right now, my phone appears to be bricked and I am out of ideas.
so what was the solution to the teamwin flashing on and off after a factory reset? this is certainly not a solution, having to reflash the phone...

D610 Stuck At Download Mode

I was trying to flash CyanogenMod to solve my storage problem, because 8 gb wasnt enough for me. Rooted my phone, tried to unlock bootloader. But as it is a rare model, I couldnt find any guides. While searching the forum, I found an unlocked D618 bootloader and flashed it with Terminal(Don't laugh im a samsung guy, we do everything with odin :silly: ). Then, I rebooted the phone and the touchscreen was flipped 180°. I tried to flash old bootloader files with terminal but it didnt work. Flashed aboot.img and abootb.img with Flashify, it made the phone even worse. Flash tool gets stuck at 2% while flashing stock firmware, idk if recovery works, but the phone doesnt boot up.
Summary
-Download mode works but Flash tool gets stuck at 2%
-Phone doesnt boot up
-Recovery is probably dead, i saw watchdog error 2 days ago
