G9650 single sim on binary mode say G9650/DS - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Hello friends, I recently change the CSC flashing combination firmware.
My s9 plus its a single sim G9650 from ATT mexico but when the phone boot on binary mode onscreen say G9650/DS its normal? or its a dual sim version disguised by the carrier to a single sim?
thanks

Probably from the firmware. It most likely came from a DS model...
By the way, do you know if the Panamanian version can have its CSC change as well?

How to Change CSC S9+ ?

Hi guys
I recently flashed XXV(Vietnam Region) rom but CSC didn't changed!
can I change it without root? any way?
my info is in attachments
Please Help
I am having the same issue. Flashed XSA (Australia region) but CSC is AFG (Afghanisatan). unable to change after multiple attempts with different firmwares. Also Tried TEL (Telstra) but no luck.
You must hard reset after install the new rom. This way the CSC will change.

But how can it be changed from US Unlocked XAA to Mexico's Telcel TCE?
I tried factory reset a couple of times but still XAA.
Mexico's S9+ variant is Exynos and US unlocked is Snapdragon.

You should install the correct firmware with the CSC that you want and then hard reset.

Once the CSC code is set to XAA it won't change because the US model would recognize the SIM as international

In the past there have been ways to allow a US CSC to be flashed on a exynos device. Usually flashed via twrp ..havent see this yet for the S9 though.
sent from my Exynos S9 plus, Pixel 2 XL or Note FE

I think that you can try flashing a single CSC firmware, hard reset and after that the carrier firmware that you want and then reset with your simcard inserted in the phone. As far as i know XID is a single CSC firmware. Download it using Samfirm app (select model SM-G965F and Region: XID) and also when flashing with Odin use CSC and not Home_CSC. Post the result after please.

Where did you get an Exynos S9+ in Mexico?
How to change CSC4 (purchase region)?

FW SM-G965U1 (USA Unlocked) on S9+ SM-G9650 (China Unlocked), is it possible?

Hello, i'm in Italy and i bought S9+ 128GB SM-G9650/DS (China Unlocked Factory) to have Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU.
Can i flash FW SM-G965U1 (USA Unlocked Factory with Snapdragon also) with Odin?
Thank you
nothing?
Nope, because you will brick the device
No because the model number does not match, odin will not allow it to flash.
Prince comesy odin may allow it to flash but your un uncharted waters there so no idea what will happen
By any chance do we have any Odin method to root the Canadian Snapdragon versions, bypass the SM-G965W bootloader?
Nope. And dude a simple search would have told you that.
thank you all for the answers
you can make a rom out of the usa carrier firmware and flash it via twrp to your G9650 no problem. Don't let these noobs tell you otherwise.
@travis82
ahahahahaha I would need a guide to do it, so I was asking for the simplest thing, namely ODIN
I don't even know if it's better the G9650 version or the G965U1 version ...... in both cases, I have to use it in Italy with Italian SIM
He asked if he can flash firmware with odin, creating a rom and flashing via twrp is quite another matter lol
Can I flash the U1 Firmware with Mexico's Telcel CSC??
Hi guys, I made a quick comparison between 3 models (mine is the SM-G965W - Rogers) as recommended by some xda members. Some were saying it may be breaking the phone entirely, and some were saying it is working. Based on those specs all three models are pretty much the same including the Supported Cellular Bands. What is your opinion based on your expertise on this take?

Changing CSC of an unlocked S9+ G965U

Hello everyone. I'm struggling to find a starting point on how to change the csc of my phone. I haven't changed a csc before and there are lots of conflicting info on the forum. I'm familiar with Odin and flashing ROMs in general.
I bought my phone from the US, and it has the AT&T G65USQU1ARBI (unlocked) software, however, I live outside the US and I want to change the CSC. I want Samsung Pay to show me offers from my region.
Where to start?
Should I flash a different ROM straight away? and would that change my CSC? Obviously, I don't want any of the AT&T features, so I don't mind changing the ROM.
Is there a ROM that I can flash that supports multi-CSC options? The Samsung variant in my region is Exynos, so can I still change the CSC to my region with my Snapdragon S9+ ?
Thanks guys.
EDIT: Just learned about the snapdragon root dilemma. So I guess the root option will be dismissed.
I bought a s9 + G965F with csc Singapore but I use in Brazil 4G network is ok but I can not use voLTE and Wi-Fi calling can someone help me? version of the OXM operator.

will single sim model (SM-G9650)[snapdragon] support dual sim if sim tray is changed?

Hi @All I purchased new s9+ from Canada its model is SM-G9650 and i will use this phone in india .Now, this phone came with sim tray that supports only one sim + microsd card. My question is that will dual sim it work if i replaced sim tray and changed csc version?
Also can someone please tell me which csc version will be best suitable for volte to work as indian csc isn't available in snapdragon version?
That's not a canadian model, seems more like the chinese model which should be dual sim.
It's the same model that I have. bought in Chile, and I'm also interested in knowing if it turns out

Did you flash the dual sim firmware onto you single sim phone in the end? If so, what works and what doesn't work? I'm in a similar situation, but the reason why I'm asking is because I want to get VoLTE working in a specific country. The variant of the phone that is sold in that country is the FD variant whereas mine is the F variant - which was purchased in a different country.
