Hi,
I have a s10+ and I flashed twrp. After this, my phone doesn't boot to recovery, just Download mode. I tried to boot into unlock bootloader section, but I couldn't because it loads into Download mode very fast.

You might have to reflash your stock rom.... And then go threw setup and go in develop settings activate oem unlock and then flash Twrp you got a galaxy 10 and now your warrant is void with Samsung cause you triggered the flash counter by putting twrp and its not even working correctly you got to be careful with these expensive phones...

So, It doesn't have to being open bootloader if I want to flash stock rom? Bc my bl is locked and I cant access it.

Bro you can't flash twrp without a open bootloader only the international models of the galaxy 10 have unlocked bootloader next time you buy an expensive phone and want to modify it research it first to see if it's modifiable

You can flash stock rom threw Odin in download Mode with a locked bootloader to get your phone to function again

Okay, I flashed the stock rom. Now the phone doesn't boot into download mode, but also I think it stucked at samsung logo. I cant boot into recovery, download mode neither. The only thing what I can do is power+vol down. But after this, the phone restarts and stucks at samsung logo again...

Hey, I'm having the exact same problem with my Galaxy A50, did you manage to solve the issue?

Then great job, you hard bricked one of the most expensive phones on the market... You should really do a research or at least a Nandroid backup before modifying your phone. This is a lesson for all of those who just flash and don't care. No hate bro, but next time while flashing, be catefull!!!!

Yes, I solved the problem but I dont know if it's good for A50 too.
So, you should try to boot into download mode. If you have the same problem, your phone boots very fast. You have to be faster. Hold power button and volume down, at the same time when connect your phone to pc.
After this, you will able to install (flash) the original rom from sammobile or etc.

Boa noite.
Boa Sorte.

This happens on Galaxy A51 (Exynos model A515F/DSN ) anyone have solution for this ?

If USB cable is plugged in (unplug it).
1. Press Volume Down and Power button, until the phone restarts.
2. Quickly plug back the USB cable and Hold Volume UP and then Press Volume UP again (OEM is now off and the Phone will reboot)
3. Quickly press Volume UP & Down on the same time again *don't remove USB cable*, until download mode comes up.
4. This time only press Volume UP.
Now you can install you roms.

This worked for my on my a50 after a few tries. I couldn't get it to work at first, but I got the most recent version of Odin and then it worked without issues.

I managed to solve it!
simple!
hold down and power for it to restart, at the exact moment when it restarts, you press the two volumes, up and down, and connect the usb cable right after, before turning on, then a menu appears where you can hold up for 7 seconds and unlock the bootload

good god what a ****show of replies. Not once did anyone address the problem, just 1 idiot after another talking about how "expensive" the phone is.
My rooted s10 exynos does this also "error verifying vbmeta image" when it says "DOWNLOADING" instead of going to my latest twrp when installing it in Odin in the AP slow along with vbmeta.tar in the CP slot.
I wish we could remove all these idiots replies about how expensive they think the s10 is and just have the OP question and me saying I have the same problem and then me replying here when I find a fix.

Only one out of two tablets can enter recovery mode?

Hi guys,
So I bought myself 2x ACHO C908 tablets during my stay in HongKong.
However, only one of them are able to enter recovery mode by holding down Volume- and the poweron button at the same time.
The tablet not being able to proceed just stucks at the first logo of the boot, namely "ACHO".
So my question is if you think this is software or hardware related?
The reason I want to enter recovery mode is because I want to do a factory reset, the tablet not being able to enter recovery mode gives me an error on boot saying I need to do a default settings reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

I would say it depends on the software
Probably there was a error while flashing the recovery image

I can't use "Odin" because I'm not able to boot into Android? So I can't use it?
And I can't use "ADB" either, because I can't boot into Android so I can't turn on "USB Debugging".
Any other guesses? :/
Thanks

Can't get into the recovery of a gt-p7500

Hi guys.
Last night i was trying to help a mate root and flash a rom on his 7500, and for some reason booting into recovery/download mode seems impossible.
Tried every button combo, unless it's not the power button alone nothing happens.
Tried using adb to reboot into recovery and the bootloader, but all it did was turn the device off.
Has anyone ever encountered something like this?

i would just odin a new recovery on it. That way u know u have a working recovery to boot to. Dont forget to check the md5 of the recovery zip before u flash it.
Could you point me to an odin guide? This would be the first time i play around with a samsung device.
Plus all the ones i managed to find with my google-fu seem to have the required files missing, due to their age

Here is a Link to my Q&A thread. It has odin and an older cwm recovery tar that will work for the 7500...even though i say in the thread,7510 only.
Just use the odin in the zip and the recovery..not sure if the root zip will work. After u have the recovery on and boot the tab up. Go get new verion of twrp recovery for the 7500 and flash via recovery. When you reboot,it will ask to install root. Go ahead and let it.
Wait, but how am i to use odin if i can't reach download mode?

Hey guys, i was using a custom ROM and i flashed the stock ROM with odin but my phone got stuck on Samsung logo. Then i remembered i forgot to enable USB debugging. Could it because of that? and my volume buttons are not working so i cant go into download or recovery mode and o tried using adb, device not found. Im thinking about going into download mode with an USB jig and flash the stock ROM with odin again. Do you think it will work? Thanks*

you need to get your phone in downloading mode so first of all turn off your phone and then
press HOME + VOL DOWN + POWER BUTTON HOLD IT then you will see something about customroms and some other text in green. now plug in your phone and Odin Should recognise it, then you can flash twrp on it (.tar format)
To get twrp just search "twrp-2.8.6.1-i9300.tar " (without quotes) and then you should find some results.
How to flash TWRP
once twrp-2.8.6.1-i9300.tar is downloaded go on odin and click PDA and navigate to twrp-2.8.6.1-i9300.tar and click start and your all done

What to do in case of bootloop

Hi. So I have a noobish question
This may sound very stupid, but this is actually the first time I've owned a phone with non-removable battery, so I just wanted to know what would I do if I ever got stuck in a bootloop? With my previous device, I could just remove the battery and put it back in then boot into recovery. Obviously can't do that now. So how do I turn the phone off, or enter recovery?
Anyone?
You can enter the recovery whenever you want by pressing the on/off button and the down volume button for about 10 seconds. When the Oneplus logo is on the screen release the on/off button but keep the down volume button pressed.
It works, I had a bootloop and fixed it by flashing the rom via twrp

Sorry, I got a little confused
Just to be clear, here's what I understood from what you said - Consider I turn my phone on and its stuck in a bootloop. What do I do then? Hold the power and vol down buttons? That will boot the recovery, even while the device is stuck in bootloop with the oneplus logo continuously showing?
Did I get it right?

I'm sorry I'm not English I may be unclear.
But yes, when you got the logo continuously showing, press the two buttons I said and it will reboot the phone, but you have to release only the on/off button when the oneplus logo will appear right after the beginning of the reboot. If you keep pressing the down volume button it will go to recovery
Have you got a oneplus x already ? You can try it right now, when your phone is awake. It's the same method as in a bootloop.

So I tried what you said, didn't exactly work When the phone was awake, did power+vol down. That just caused it to take a screenshot.
However, when I held down just the power button, the phone turned off. Then I had to turn it on by holding the power button. I did the same thing (holding down power button) while the phone was booting, it worked even then, and the phone again turned off.
So at least I can get into recovery now in case of bootloop. I just need to hold the power button till phone turns off, then boot into recovery using power+vol down combination.
Anyways, thanks for the help

You can try a different twrp. There's 2 builds for our device. One is from the twrp thread itself, the other is available in the blu_spark kernel thread.

For fastboot, unfortunately I can't access it because the phone restarts automatically so it doesn't work with on and volume down buttons and it doesn't work either with a computer.... Any other advise :'(

I think u r doing it wrong, if u press power and vol down it ll go to recovery mode which is probably corrupted now in your case... Thats y phone gets restarted again and again.
Try this... Swt of ur phone completly hold the volume up button and power button... Press vol up first and while holding it press power buttom.. This ll take u to fastboot screen...
For the link my bad... Use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20236 go to this page and download this recovey
Flash this recovery while u r in fastboot mode... If u need further assistance for in fastboot mode feel free to ask

Rooting Samsung Tab E (SM-T377W) on 7.1.1

Hi all,
First time poster and honestly, a complete noob re: rooting. I tried once before with a BLU device I had, but had driver issues and just gave up.
Anyway, looking to remove a bunch of bloat from my Tab E that I barely use....... just fired it up today for the first time in months and saw an update to 7.1.1
All of my Google searching links me to this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-official-twrp-gteslte-galaxy-t3419219
My concerns/problems are ....
1. Do I just pick the latest '.tar' file?
2. At no point does the guide actually say when to connect the device to the computer
3. I should be able to maintain my LTE connection after rooting, I assume?
4. I can't seem to get into "download mode", I got into "safe mode" somehow by mistake, but when following the suggestions here:
http://techbeasts.com/how-to-boot-samsung-galaxy-devices-in-download-recovery-mode/
To access "download mode", I get some life.... followed by an increasingly green circle. Get's to 66% with a flashing white circle, and then nothing happens.
5. Even if I could get into "download mode", it says to Hold [Volume Up] + [Home] buttons near the end of the flash, and keep holding them until you are in recovery. but Odin doesn't appear to be overly user-friendly as far as knowing when the end of the flash would be? Haven't got that far though, so mere speculation on my part.
I'm really lost at this point.... can anybody give me any pointers?
****EDIT*** So, I went ahead and tried again - turns out I was able to get it all done...... problem was the instructions didn't quite relate the my Tab E? Power+Vol Down+Home was needed to get into download mode, and Power+VolUp+Home was needed for Recovery.
Funny though, after confirming TWRP and following the reboot promps, device still didn't appear to be rooted. Tried again and "Root Checker" says it's not..... but NOBloat is not prompting me I'm not rooted, when previously it stated the device wasn't rooted? AND, I have SuperSU installed?
Easily done if you follow the rooting guide for the 6.0.1 ... anyway, here's how.
Download Odin (version 10.12.x) and then download TWRP into the same folder:
https://dl.twrp.me/gteslte/twrp-3.2.0-0-gteslte.img.tar.html
Now donwload Super User: https://download.chainfire.eu/1220/SuperSU/SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip?retrieve_file=1
Run Odin (preferred in Admin mode) and load : twrp-3.2.0-0-gteslte.img.tar into the AP.
Put your Tablet into Download mode (Vol Down + Home + Power and then Vol Up), connect to your PC and Hit Start on Odin.
Wait for it to fully reboot and Power it Off, now reboot into Recovery mode (Vol Up + Home + Power), once in TWRP, copy Super User file into the Download folder of your Tablet, select Install from TWRP and install Super User. Reboot and enjoy Root
Using updated Odin (3.13.1) to root Tab E SM-T377W
As this post is somewhat dated, would the most recent Odin version (3.13.1) be appropriate?
I have the same Tab E (SM-T377W) running 7.1.1.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Reid.

Root is possible. On firmware version: T377WVLU2BQI6, I just flashed this
TWRP-3.2.3-0-gteslte.img.tar (PM if you need a link. I uploaded it on my drive)
Then flashed magisk through TWRP yesterday.
Couple of notes though. Once you fllash TWRP with Odin, even with auto reboot ticked off, the device WILL STILL reboot. Once this happens, if you're not holding pwr, vol+, & home buttons, the custom recovery will be replaced back to stock. And as always, ensure drivers installed and debugging and OEM unlock is on.

Usually when I flash, I found it's best to use which version of Odin was released at the time the device was. For instance, if I wanted to flash an S7, I'd probably use Odin 3.10. This is only AFTER I've tried my go to Odin version - Prince Comsey. I find it works 90% of the time though. This of course excludes any devices running stock Oreo or Pie. Where it's mandatory to have the latest version of Odin.

Whenever i flash TWRP i get the message that FRP is locked (green color) and odin never pass, i have tried many times to install TWRP but its locked
Which firmware version do you have on the tablet?? Like, is there a 3 or 2 prior to the B?? I think it's the forth from the end
For example: T377WVLU '2' BQI6 or do you have the 3rd Bootloader?

Firmware SM-T377W T377WVLU3BRG4 [7.1.1]
halp
I've been trying to use this thread and several others as a guide to root my galaxy tab E version sm-t377wVLU3BRG4 running android 7.1.1. I've been trying to root the tablet for 3 days including one click rooting applications both on and off pc.
I can't even get TWRP installed, I've tried using odin to flash it but when it reboots and I'm supposed hold volume up and home to boot into recovery mode it just keeps booting. I don't understand if I'm doing something wrong. Also half the guides I've read have had most of the files removed so I've just googled another guide
@Helium Iz Ninja
Probably your attempt flashing TWRP miserably failed for whatever reason.
BTW: How to install TWRP using ODIN is explained here.
If you have phone's Stock ROM at your fingertips, then re-flash this to bring back phone to its original state.
