LG-5X LineageOS 15.1 kernel Nethunter - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good morning, let's see if anyone can help me. I have a LG 5X in the past I had the classic bootloop problem solved thanks to the file 5X-6P inject .... AK3.zip. The phone now even if not with all the cores working is fine. I installed the LineageOS Custom ROM 15.1 based on Android Oreo 8.1. Later installed Nethunter for LG 5X official. All right just not installing the kernel I saw that when installing the zip from recovery TWRP when installing the Kernel does not find the image to patch. Nethunter is installed but everything does not work properly. In your opinion, how could I solve ... ??? ... which kernel could I use ... ??? ... I tried the Kernel Zesty and I must say that everything is pretty good. Are there any other kernels available ...?!? Thank you all. Regards

[Q] Ubuntu Touch for Nexus 4 dualboot with Custom Rom Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Hi All,
I was planning in give it a try to the latest build of Ubuntu Touch for the Nexus 4, but having a look at the image repository, I have only found images that will work in dualboot mode on top of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Will those also work if I am running an Android 6.0 Marshmallow custom ROM ? Has anybody tried this ?
Thanks for the help in advance.
Requiem.
Hey, I just tried MultiROM with cm13. It didn't boot (got into bootloop with just Google logo showing up) into the primary ROM (cm13) after flashing the multirom in the recovery. And I was going thru the forums to see if there is any workaround for this. So, yeah... It doesn't seem to work with cm13. (sad)
Restoring my backup now...
Lemme know if ever u got it to work with cm13
[Nex4]
I didn't try from the multi ROM . I used the Ubuntu dual boot app provided by Ubuntu. I installed it in chroma ROM on nexus 4. I was able to boot into 15.04 version successfully and it is working perfectly fine.
@htiellr Could you point us to a guide to get it working?
I have a Oneplus One with MultiROM v33a, with as primary rom: [ROM+KERNEL][6.0.1] Unofficial CyanogenMod 13.0 with 3.4.0 kernel [Apr. 10, 2016], Patched rom to get the kexec-hardboot patch. And installed the rc-proposed version 244 without a problem. the devel-proposed did not boot.
Edit: The kexec-hardboot patch broke some things on my MM build.. Camera didn't work anymore, ... Reinstalled Unofficial CyanogenMod 13.0 with 3.4.0 kernel, everything worked again, But now i can't boot Ubuntu Touch
Is there any way to boot ubuntu asside cm13 on xiaomi redmi note 4g (dior)?

As far As I know, the main difference between both devices are the lcm Driver so, I can make a test version if Someone want to test It.

You need to stay on Lollipop Rom and recovery. You can use this recovery(Zopo Speed +):
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995295909
Or carliv Lollipop recovery.
If you are on stock 6.0, you have to flash stock Lollipop Rom with SP flash tools then install recovery and follow installation instructions given on first post.

I successfully re-installed Android 5 stok OK
then followed the instructions, installed TWRP OK
Wipe Data / System / Cache / Dalvik Cache-ART OK
Install CM12.1 zip file OK
I think I have downloaded the wrong version of Gapps.
Platform: arm64 ?
Android: 5.1
Variant: stock ?

Try first without gapps and see if system boots. In case that works, do the installation again but Download pico package (5.1-arm64-pico)

Zopo has provided Android 6.0 but has several bugs and is a long time that no longer grant any updates.
Then I prefer Android 5.1 with all the improvements and optimizations (CyanogenMod 12.1):good::good:

Leave a little time and you'll see that word gets out, it seems many are disillusioned about how zopo has released Android 6.0. (Still several bugs!)
But it's just me who uses this fantastic rom!?
Maybe people throw or change the terminal after a year, and therefore no longer uses zopo speed 7 / Plus!?
fantastic job
Please some difference expiriens on battery life between this CM 5.1 ROM and latest official 6.0 Marshmallow, any sugestions + or - Thanks.A long time there is no official update from Zopo, and I think to try this custom ROM.

Pie Sound issue SOLVED

Help! My hair is falling out!
Flashing 9.0 Pie ROMs on Xiaomi mi 8 Lite results in sound not working on device. Which means no games, no YouTube, no functionality
However flashing the 8.1 Oreo ROMs are fine
I'm guessing this is a simple issue I'm encountering. Can anybody help enlighten me to where I am going wrong or what the issue is?
I'm using twrp and roms from this xda mi 8 lite forum if it is of any relevance
Thank you
SOLVED
I Installed the MIUI BETA build on 9.0 Pie, updated MIUI fully, then reflashed TWRP and installed a 9.0 Custom ROM
and I have working sound. :good:

Good to know. I just got my phone this past Monday and am awaiting the bootloader unlock. I did see that some of the custom ROMs did mention, you must come from a Pie OS before flashing. Guess now I know why. Thanks!

Stuck at bootlogo after dirty flash of custom rom update

Hi,
i have a Problem with serval custom roms. I was on Bootleggers rom 4.1 with Twisted kernel and there was 3 of 4 ota updates of Bootleggers rom that stuck at boot Animation after updating. I thought it was a fault of Bootleggers rom 4.1 but i experience the same problem with crdroid 5.3 updated to 5.4 few minutes ago. It stuck on boot animation.
Additional things i have installed are Opengapps, Magisk 18.1 (tried with 19.1 too) and the magisk modules ANX Camera and Youtube Vanced.
Whats wrong? On my last device, a Moto Z from Lenovo there was no problem updating custom roms via ota, even with a custom kernel and magisk installed.
Can someone tell me the procedure how to update a custom rom with custom kernel installed?
Thanks
StefanV3
Ask your custom ROM developer is he supports at all OTA on his ROMs. Why are you even asking here such questions? All the answers will be on the thread where you downloaded the custom ROM.
Hi,
i am sorry if this is ot, but I thought, this may be a general problem of poco f1 custom roms because I have it on two gifferent roms.
This is not my first phone with custom rom. For Moto z i built some custom roms by myself so i know that there maybe a problem with device tree...
But I'll ask in threads of rom's
Thanks

Uninstall Magisk (if installed) and try again.
Hi,
Tanks...
Asked now in crDroid thread and got the answer that the Magisk module ANXCamera is the reason for this behavior...
So next time an ota update arrives, i remove ANXCamera before and see, if it'll work then...

Are there any custom recovery for device huawei y max, honor 8x max?

I need a recovery for that device plz.
If you have then plz help me.
I found the quack version by phh works. Unfortunately it is android 10. The android 12l have a brightness issues. The crdroid 3.2 works great but backlight is stuck at 50% Researching it's a vendor overlay issue. Seems too complex to program. Can I copy the overlays from the quack rom to a new GSI rom? Dirty flash didn't work.
