Oppo Multi screen interaction - 'Available Devices' List shows devices not on my WiFi - Oppo Reno 2 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have a Oppo Reno 2z and my Multi-screen Interaction options page shows devices that aren't connected to my wifi (I have also confirmed this via my router's internal settings page).
Wondering where these devices are coming from? example is a 75 inch Smart TV that isn't connected to my wifi - and this is verified through my router.
Thanks,
Snoopster

Android remote desktop control app??

Hi,
I am looking for an application to remote control my Rockchip MK808b android 4.2. So far I was trying about 4 apps, but because my device is connected to a home wifi network (ip: 192.168.2.1) I can't connect to it with my phone form other locations (from where I work, for example). I have tried using real IP (by googleing; "my ip"), but it will not connect at all.
The 3 apps were:
droid VNC server - works grate at home, but cant't connect to it from outside the network
AirDroid - won't permit screen share
RemoDroid - only home network
TeamViewer QuickSupport - instaled, but I get the message: cannot shear screen, please upgrade your Android Os.
I would really appreciate if someone could suggest an app wich would work, connect from outside of my home network.
Thanks!!

What is the proper settings for this USB internet dongle to work with a Chromebook?

Main question: The Chromebook is definitely recognizing the dongle as an internet device because an "Ethernet" option becomes available in the Network settings as soon as I plug in the USB, and when I take it out it disappears. It seems that the Chromebook is only having a problem configuring the proper settings, but if I know which settings to change seems like it should be able to work. [Inspiron Chromebook 11I 3000 (3181)]

Additional details: When I connect the dongle an "Ethernet" option comes up with many options available that I'm not familiar with. I called Sprint but they are not familiar with this. I did see the article about PPP authentication but unsure how to proceed.
This is what happens when I connect the dongle to the Chromebook with screenshots. A "Ethernet" option comes up: URL removed
Then if I click the "Configure" box option as seen here: URL removed, this pop-up opens: URL removed
Depending which EAP method I choose as seen here: URL removed, the following options are available: URL removed.
I did see that OTG cables are able to connect USB dongles to smartphones but the Chromebook doesn't have the mini usb ports. Perhaps there's a way to use an OTG cable with a Chromebook?
Another thing to consider here: URL removed.
If I switch off "Configure IP address automatically", the status then said "Connected" and it was green, it has some IP address info, but still was not able to connect to the internet.
Came across a "PPP authentication" article from Google, URL removed is anyone familiar with this?

Wi-Fi Direct Configuration - Android 10 - Google Pixel 3aXL

I am running Android 10 on GP 3aXL. I have two Devices A (GP 3aXL) and B (S5) connected via Wi-Fi direct. On device A, i have a proxy server (Every Proxy) running. I want to share my internet connection with device B. When i scan wifi on device B, I see SSID with the name of the remembered group on device A. I try to connect and it is asking me for the password. Where is this password info located? I have searched many threads here on XDA and other places, but unable to get this info. Please help. Thanks.

use redmiNOTE9PRO as WIFI REPEATER. WIFI TETHERING option missing

Dear community,
please assist on how to enable the WIFI tethering option in the HOTSPOT section of my redmi NOTE9PRO.
it seems, that the wifi tethering option is not available.
I want to amplify/extent the wifi signal I am getting from my router via my phone throughout my house. I could get a wifi repeater for 20dollars but I am sure I can do this with this device already without any 3 part apps like Sharenet ( which caps your data transmission without paying for it).
In some videos I find the wifi tethering option available in the note 8 for example.
I have the MIUI version 11.0.1. and the android patch version from 2020-4-1 and I have the developer mode enabled.
Thank you very much for the help!
regards,
Genco.

Hi,
I use my Redmi Note 9s(global)/9 Pro(India), code name curtana, with an older Huawei router HG556a running openWRT. I use the hotspot to connect the devices at the LAN ports (PC & Linux box for the TV) to the internet.
1. Go to Settings/Portable hotspot turn on the hotspot and 'click' on "Set up portable hotspot".
2. In that window at the top the SSID is listed and just below the password, which you need for the setup at your router.
3. For a openWRT router: open in a browser the router page, log in, click on Network/WiFi and click on scan.
4. A new page will open listing all available WiFi networks, go to the one with the name of the SSID of step 2. and click on the button "Join Network".
5. In the next screen you have to enter the password from above, name the interface and finish that setup page.
6. In the next page you have to choose in "Interface Configuration/General Setup" the network and check in addition to the wireless interface the LAN.
Then you have the internet in your LAN ?
I don't know how to do it with the stock routerFW. Further I don't know if the Redmi Note 9 Pro (global) [joyeuse] has the same menus as the [curtana].

Question Using S23 Ultra with TERMUX in Mobile Hotspot mode -> strange things happen ...

Hi,
I have changed from my aged Galaxy S9+ to the brandnew S23 Ultra. I am using extensively the S23 Ultra as an AccessPoint. - as I did with the S9+ before - perfectly working - without any troublei n more than 5 years.
Besides that Selinux is taking a lot of (network) functionalities from TERMUX which I was used to before, I am totally disapointed in addition by some S23 Ultra (Android ?) inconveniences:
Supposed the S23 Ultra (shortly S23U) is spanning an AdHoc WiFi for 2 ESP32 MCs and two (old) S9+ Galaxy Smartphones and my Notebook. All nodes are visible with their MACs and IP numbers in the extended S23U Hotspot config menue - so far so good!
Internet Access is given! Of course they are fully accessible by the S23u+.
BUT ...
1. inconvenience: The last two IP network portions of the Hotspot are not static any more. Example - the address is generated exemplarily as 192.168.xxx.yyy, whereas xxx and yyy are given randomly after activating the S23U Hotspot functionality - it is not static defined any more, as it was the behavior before in the Galaxy S9+ world (always 192.168.43.0/24 or 192.168.60.0/24).
2. inconvenience: I am using extensively openSHH. Logging into the S23U from my Notebook via winscp works perfectly. But the two S9+ are not accessible any more via openSSH from my notebook.
Also the nmap view initiated on each S9+ only lists the S23U IP address (and their own adddress), but not the addresses of the other nodes - (although they are fully accessible from the S23U). Internet Access of the 2 S9+ via S23U (as hotSpot) is fine!
And now the most crazy magic:
Sometimes the restrictions of the 2nd inconvenience are totally gone ... all works fine - alle 5 nodes in the network can see and access eachother ... !!!
Then I can login via winscp into each S9+ .... and also do see the IoT devices and my notebook via nmap being processed on the two s9+ ...
For me this seems to be a temporary (random) HotSpot routing problem in the S23U (or in the latest Android version?) ?
Or is this a (known) bug or a "sophisticated" feature of the S23U programmers in order to annoy Android or S23U Users?
And why did this crazy programmers change form the static subnetwork adresses now to random network numbers philosophy ? What shall the benefit be ....?
Or ist the 2. inconvenience a further side effect of the well known Wifi problems of the S23U which pops up everywhere in the Internet criticisms?
What do you think? Have you made similar experiences, please ?
Any hint, any advice, any link, ... is pretty much appreciated!
Thanks very much for reading.

It could be related to android version and Samsung decided to leave as it is. You can report it via Samsung members application with these examples you have provided. I'm pretty sure you will get some kind of response.
