Overheat and mount system problems - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a big problem on my pocophone, when i recording in 4k 60fps my câmera app closes beacause my phone is overheating, i cant record more than 1 minute, i can disable this? Or convert the camera app to a user app? Only system apps have this problem, i tried to convert to a user app but i have a problem with mount system, i tried to download titanium backup but the app not works more, anyone can help me? (Sorry for my bad english, i'm from brazil)

Can't you use Open Camera, or lower the resolution of your integrated camera app?
I don't have a Pocophone, so not sure how to navigate the settings.

What is open camera? Yes i can lower the resolution but if a need to record in 4k 60 fps the app closes itself, i want to disable this overheating protection or change the app to user app, in games my phone is much more heat but it's safe

At it's runtime it doesn't matter whether an app is a system app or an user app: both use the hardware resources ( RAM, CPU, GPU ) as needed in same way to successfully run.
Only difference between a system app and an user app is that a system app can get rolled back to it's initial version in case it got updated: that's not possible with an user app.
Ii's absolutely common that when you use your phone’s camera for longer time that your phone is heated up. This generally happens when you shoot high quality for recording videos as this increases temperature. Therefore, you should reduce the footage quality and try to record short videos to reduce the temperature that increases while using.

[Q] Better camera app?

I've been looking for a better camera app.
By "better", I am referring to faster/quality. Not instagram and other image manipulation nonsense.
I am also aware that we are limited by hardware, but still there must be something better.
Has anyone found a suitable contender?

Is there any way to improve the quality of the camera? It is almost useless. Rooting or something?

The best camera, IMHO, is LG Camera Pro.
Better Camera App
I am using super app LGcamera (there is free version too) and there is available to set these things:
video bitrate (default is 15MBps) i use 20MBps
audio quality is better (FULL HD VIDEO) 96kbps, mono, 48000HZ
you can change your save destination
take a photo while recording a movie
....and more
Hey guys
thanks for the opinion!
I've tried for a while jb+ and I enjoyed it more than the stock one (was faster and minimal UI). I did not enjoy however the way you change settings, it seemed awkward. Also the video recorder does no support 1080. Another thing was the lighting setting, auto mode was rubbish and I had to manually select lighting for each photo.
Starting today, I'll be trying LGcamera.
So far, I'm impressed. It really feels solid and works good.
Video supports 1080 and takes photos at 5MP(stock takes photos at 2MP, I believe)
Focus seems better to.
I'd like to ask you guys:
What settings to you use? (focus, photo mode, light)
Also for video
Thanks!
I'm a fan of the stock Nexus camera app and purchased Camera JB+....works for me.

I see no point in recording in 1080p.....just my humble opinion. 720p works for me too.

Those options have terrible video framerates.
CameraJB+, LGCamera, Camera FV-5, give me bad framerates in video. I'm not sure if there's a fix or something but in darker areas like indoors, the exposure doesn't fix so the framerates dip into the single digits. The only thing I want is just timestamped filenames. Is there a modified Stock possibly?

Hey, I see what you mean and I think I can help you.
Here's what you need to do:
1. Get root access to your device (there're plenty of ways)
2. Unzip the attached archive and replace your device's media_profiles.xml with the one from the archive.
To do that, use Root Explorer app and go to /etc. Copy new media profiles and confirm the replacement. Then, don't forget to set the permissions of the new one to rw-r--r--.
3. Restart your device.
Now you have better sound quality in stock app (48000 kHz, 160 kbps) and you have better fps compatibility.
There're several apps for you to use:
a) For better quality and control, you can use FV-5 Cinema app. You should get fixed 30 fps under default settings.
b) As for LGCamera (the one with the older interface, version number around 5.4), you should set fps to 25 and you will get a stable 25 fps, regardless of the lighting.
c) However, if you are using the newer LGCamera (version 7), you'll have to go for a little trick:
Launch the app, and set the fps to 30. Now, go to Setting tab (the last one), select "Edit camera script" and add the following after the existing lines:
preview-fps-range=30000,30000
Now, restart LGCamera app, and you will have stable 30fps performance.
So, there're 3 options for you, choose whichever you like
P.S. I have P765 with the stock firmware from P760, version 20p.
Thanks but

That trick unfortunately didn't make a difference.. All third party apps are still agonizingly laggy. Thanks though, it was worth the shot.

Best camera app for the TrueSmart?

I use CameraZOOM in my phone as my primary camera app. Sadly, on the TS, it crashes frequently, so I can't use it there. The stock camera app doesn't crash, but it fails to save pics randomly (?)
What 3rd party cameras are you guys using? I dont need high-end features, just a quick snapshot that I can later sync using dropbox. Any recommendation would be appreciated.
Was trying a lot of different camera apps in order to try to compensate for the extremely dissatisfying image quality I get from my TS (are all units crap or might there be a problem with the sensor/wiring on my particular unit).
Anyways, settled for camera 360 for the time being. Allows for correct rotation in the viewfinder (you have to rotate the final image after shooting though) - and it gives me a chance to hide the crappy quality behind loads of effects...

Prevent android from Closing App in Background

Hi Guys,
I got a Chinese tablet that's got pretty low specs (Quad processor, 1gb Ram, 2gb storage, Android 6.0) and I am trying to use a screen recorder app to record some video from the tablet.
But I've tried tons of video recording apps, all with the same result. After the recording starts and the recorder app goes in the background, it closes immediately, thus the video recording stops.
I've not been able to find an app or a way to keep the recording going when I switch apps, because the background apps get killed immediately after I switch to another. I'm assuming this is likely because of the slow specs, but could there be any way to prevent the killing of the background apps or forcing an app to stay open? Or is there an app you can recommend that will stay actively recording no matter what?
Thanks for the help!

V60 demo unit with retail mode removed , in partially rooted state? Any way to fully root? for camera improvement.

I was recently playing with the idea of modifying certain camera profiles to improve camera performance.
With a demo unit with retail mode removed it appears I can manage to at least view the root directory/files and subfolders like /etc by using Root Browser. I cannot alter files though like delete or change permissions. I can view and copy camera_profiles.XML but cannot alter it. I can edit a copy, but that's about it. I believe it may be possible , if properly rooted to edit at the camera profiles, for at least video to improve quality. The stock camera app only allows low bitrate video. Other apps will allow high bitrate with custom profiles even with 8K video like Freedcam. With this app you can get high bitrate 8K video with customizing profiles with the v60. It also may be possible to get better 64MP stills or maybe even raw by modifying some files
Anyone have any input?

Screen Recorder that Doesn't Lock FPS to 60?

I have been looking for a screen recorder that can not only record internal audio (even for some apps that don't natively support it like the built-in Samsung screen recorder) but would also not cap my frame rate at what is apparently 60 FPS but looks more like 48 FPS. I am not sure why recording with the built-in recorder is so choppy when all it should be doing is recording at 60 FPS. I understand that recording at 120 FPS is kind of unreasonable for a mobile device, even one of this caliber, and that is not what I am asking for. All I want is to be able to screen record 60 FPS videos while having the smoothness and responsiveness of the 120hz display. I could just use the built-in one, but with that FPS cap, it makes anything I attempt to record feel choppy and makes the tablet feel not as responsive.
The one app I tried that seem to fit the bill was this, but trying to record with internal audio enabled just crashes the app. This is also probably because of Android 12. A lot of other apps either try to lock internal recording behind a paywall or do not record the inernal audio at all for some apps (but it would record just fine with the built-in samsung recorder).
I am using a rooted Tab S7+ with Android 12, but I could flash Android 11 on it (for better compatibility with more apps). I sadly cannot flash Android 10 since I have a U2 bootloader, and all Android 10 firmware for the S7+ are for U1 bootloaders (as far as I know). From what I've heard, downgrading bootloaders is not possible. ;-;
Now, with all of that being said, if any of you have any recommendations for screen recorders that allow you to use the 120hz display while recording internal audio, or have any fixes or workarounds for the official Samsung screen recorder, please let me know. This is one of the very few issues I have with the Tab S7+, and for all I know, there is a solution for it, I just do not know it yet.

I tried using this one but it doesn't seem to record the internal audio for the games I wish to record audio in. Do you know of any workarounds or something I can do with root to be able to do this?

This is doesnt seem to work either. The plugin app requests root permission and asks me to reboot, but when I do, the option never enables. The internal audio option by itself also doesn't seem to work.
Have you oneplus?
Look this feature.
I sent screen recorder clip to you.
Oneplus has very good screen recorder.
You can change microphone sound and frame 60+ and definition and record from front camera and record system sound and show touches and video coding format and is an open source app.
Only oneplus phone, can download this app.
I can edit manifest and java (dex) to work on all Android phones.
