Question Root help - OnePlus Nord N200 5G

I recently received a Oneplus Nord N200 from a friend and I was told it had been rooted and was frp locked. I managed to get into the device to where it is usable but it has some bugs. So I was gonna reroot it and I have found several guides to do so however I keep getting errors and failed attempts bc it seems to locked. Here are some pictures of the results. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as this is my first time rooting anything and I'm hitting a wall here.

You should check out this link to unlock the bootloader https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-may-work-for-metropcs-metro-variant.4313525/

It looks like you have a carrier-locked device.
Follow this guide from OnePlus. It will take 7 days.
If your OEM Unlocking setting in developer options is greyed out, run
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.qualcomm.qti.uim

OK so I have tried to do that but it says incorrect serial number when I do... Is it possible to change a phones serial number when you root it? Bc if I go look under my about phone area it tells me the serial number is 59eaa1e7 but if I search the Imei # the results say the serial number is 369790.... So it's got me confused... Thanks in advance for all the assistance

You have to supply OnePlus with the IMEI, SN, unlock code that is loaded ON THE PHONE.
This will NOT ALWAYS match if the phone has been sent into Oneplus in a bricked state and they generate a new IMEI/Serial for that phone or swap your phone for another refurbished phone.
You then have to pull this information from phone and wait another week after submitting request for unlock code for same phone.
Always send OP the IMEI (Dialer #*06*), Serial # in device info screen, and unlock code generated from phone itself to unlock bootloader.

[Q] Garmin Asus A50 - can we calculate the code???

At first, hi to everybody at this forum, i really like it.
I have a Garmin Asus A50 from T-Mobile with Android 2.1 installed. I know that it's a ****ty phone, but i bought it cuz it was cheap. I;m in Macedonia now and it doesn't work even with macedonian t-mobile sim card. I'm trying to find an unlock code for it, but still nothing, even contacted US T-mobile support and garmin support team and they don't wanna help me.
When i connect the device as a mass storage, in my garmin drive i can see a folder named "Garmin" and inside that folder there is a XML file named GarminDevice.xml and inside this file there is a lot of information like IMEI Code, Serial number and there is a tags named <Unlock><Code>......</Code></Unlock>. can this be the unlock code in encrypted form??? If it is, there must be a way to decrypt it except it's a MD5 hash code.
I uploaded the file because i know that on this forum there is a lot of experts that can realize how this works. There is a lot of data in this file and maybe something can help the guys who were trying to install a custom ROM to this device.

that is not the wrong code since u pulled that from where it says unlock in his zip. if anyone opens the same file on their phone it will be different like mine only has 3 numbers in it
The search feature is currently down...
Can anyone advise how to calculate the unlock code?
I have previoously bought 2 Garminfones and bought unlock codes for each.
I no longer own either of them, but I did buy another one (currently locked).
Here's the IMEI and unlock codes for the 2 older ones I no longer have:
IMEI: 357355030414434
Unlock Code: 04161586
IMEI: 357355030434085
Unlock Code: 30401124
Having the IMEI and a correct unlock code (they both worked!), is there anyone willing to give up the formula on how to calculate the unlock code? Or anyone know how to come up with a formula that works?
I'll check into the .xml file on my new phone to see if there's an unlock code stored in it.

No it's not.
He went into your .xml file and took the numbers as they appear from left to right in the unlock section.
The problem? The unlock code is your unlock code for the map installed on the phone and not a SIM card unlock.
I tried the same process with my current locked Garminfone and it failed.
A Possible Formula for the Garminfone

According to Spazmogen's IMEIs and unlock codes, the following formula can produce a valid unlock code. However, if the last 8 digits of your IMEI starts with 308, this formula will not work. I have not tested it on an IMEI whose last digits start with 306 or any other numbers
Focus on the last 8 digits of the IMEI and use these steps,
each one should generate a digit of the unlock pin.
1 6th number + 8th number - 8 First Number (leftmost)
2 6th number
3 2nd number - 3rd number + 7th number
4 6th number X 1.5
5 1st number - 3rd number
6 1st number + 3rd number - (4th number X 2)
7 7th number / 4
8 1st number + 3rd number - 4th number Last Number (rightmost)
NOTE: if the number is 10 or above, use the rightmost number
if the number is negative, disregard the negative and treat as positive
if the number is a decimal, round to the next number
ex. round 0.75 to 0.8 and use the 8
round 6.5 to 7
do not round 0.75 to 1
This may or may not work for you, good luck and hopefully, happy unlocking.

Huawei No longer providing booloader unlock codes in the US?

I went on to their website to try to request a firmware unlock code. The process did not work after inputting all the device info, and at the bottom of the site it says to email them if I had an issue, after emailing they sent me back the attached statement. Has anyone else run into this issue?
I just unlocked my 5x Friday afternoon with out issue. I made my account, filled out the required form and was immediately given my unlock code. Maybe you missed something on the form. I did have to google Huawei USA to find the proper site as the one linked in the TWRP thread is for Chinese only.
---------- Post added at 03:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:13 PM ----------
Oh yeah, I am in Oklahoma USA
Same here, unlocked two instantly..no waiting, within last 3 weeks, took some Googling but I too used the english site, my first tries burped me too something about it can take 14 days, but i went out and back in then had no trouble. Keep at it.
I'm assuming your device was carrier unlocked also? Mine was in English to, asked me for IMEI, model, and product id were among the fields I can remember. There was even a disclaimer before inputting the info stating that my warranty will be void and such. Guess I'll give it another go. Thanks.
Tried it again, I just had to pay close attention to capitalized letters while inputting the info, thanks everyone!
Just to make you sure, honor won't shut down the service to provide unlocking codes

Link to huawei unlock: https://hwid5.vmall.com/CAS/portal/...ndex&loginChannel=22000000&reqClientType=2023
1. you need to create an account if you do not already have one
2. after that you will have to agree to their terms which includes voiding warranty, etc...
3. When the screen pops up for you to input all your information, you must input everything exactly as it appears on your device. For example, in the Serial number and model fields, you must use capitalized letters because lower case letters will throw an error.
Hope this helps and good luck!

How is it through DC unlocker or any?
You need to pay 4$ to get unlock code through DC
ya seen that i thought he was mentioning the same thing any other new process but if there is no other process we need to use it as a last thing to get our bootloader unlocked.
I will go with that option if huawei no longer provides unlocking codes
Ya same here . hope huawei fixes the issue.

ANS UL40 Android 7.1.1 HELP

I have a ANS UL40 phone through Assurance wireless / >Virgin Mobile> Sprint.. and am trying to root this phone so I can get the SPC code to run DFS tools. Have used DFS and loaded phone and unlock with default password, but when I try 000000 spc unlock says device offline and all prompts in all fields go from yellow to red and in a few minutes go back to yellow showing device info.
I need info off this phone to flash my SM-N900P phone over to Assurance Wireless. The UL40 phone uses a sim card, have tried in note 3 but no service and then sim locked please reboot phone. I have tries on UL40 many different rooting apks and through pc. Most say root fail or your phone doesn't seem to be able to root. Any help would be appreciated. To root the ANS UL40 and also how to flash over Note 3. I have done flashing before on a note 2. So i basically know what to do. When I did try to flash over the note 3 I just get your account cannot be verified when calling 611 (without the sim) but when I insert sim its says no sim or sim locked reboot phone. Thanks
Guess nobody knows
kingroot rooted the ans, but I rebooted and it earesed it, and it didn't seem to give out permission s, not in a joking manner

do you know which 32bit drivers this phone might use?
I tried that one and it didn't root it and so many other programs and or apk's. Do not know if this phone is arm -- 64-- or 32. I do know that the maker of the phone actually is Teleepock company in China ** http://www.teleepoch.com/en/ ** no info on this model phone on their website..
Default file manager is CyanogenMod File Manager

Hi,
My friend just got the same phone and while setting it up for her I noticed that the default file manager is called CyanogenMod File Manager. It's probably meaningless but thought I'd share it just in case there's some sort of CyanogenMod back door. Good luck and if you do get it rooted please let me know.
I found a paid root that will root UL 40 Assurance choose the 6 mo lan.. https://www.oneclickroot.com/support-packages/
I wouldn't have asked on here if I wanted to pay for it, and they are not a guarantee they can do it. have read somewhere that someone ask them to do the same phone and they could not............ And no still no root. Probably does not matter. Talked to Assurance wireless rep today and they said lots of people are complaining about this phone. I have had in less than 2 weeks of getting it, had to have them warranty it and they sent me the same one. It would reboot on it's own and yes did factory reset. Now have the replacement, haven't done any kind of rooting or anything and on day 2 it starting to not be able to make phone calls. Says phone is not responding. Did a factory reset on this one and still doing same thing. Sometimes it does make a call and sometimes not. Pissed I am....
I stumbled across a site. Idk but it looks like it could contain some valuable info you may need or may be looking for. Send me a message or email me for the link. Since I've not posted before, it won't allow me to post the link.
I have decided to go to another provider for my cell phone and the UL40 phone will be no more. After talking to them so many times and finding they are complete idiots. Because they keep sending me a phone that stops working correctly after 1-3 days. Even before I started trying to root. I even talk to a real English speaking (LOL) person and they told me what I already knew, the ANS UL40 phone is a complete piece of ****. So many people have complained to them about that phone they decided not to ship out anymore. Now what kind of phone i will get from other carrier, I'll have to wait and see. Thanks all.............

I am looking for a custom ROM for my ANS UL40
Hello.
I was wondering if there would be anyone nice enough to make a custom ROM for the ANS UL40. I would do i tbut I don't have the coding skills or patience to do so.
ANS UL40 "Cast" compatibility w/Actiontec ScreenBeam Mini2
Asking if ANS UL40 "Cast" will run Actiontec ScreenBeam Mini2.
UL40 is "CAST" standard compatible with Mini2 (WiFi Mirocast and INTEL WiDi certified) ?
UL40 able to PARE WiFi and update Mini2 firmware. UL40 says CONNECTED, but click "CAST" and phone goes back to WiFi. Mini2 screen says Connection Failed.
If able to preform firmware update, then UL40 is communicating w/Mini2 so, UL40 should be compatible, but "CAST" fails.
Please advise.
Many kind thanks.

Hope someone can figure out how to gain root access on this phone I have it and It would be a blessing
you can unlock the bootloader in android dev settings "OEM unlocking", once in bootloader cmds like "fastboot oem unlock" or "fastboot flashing unlock" do nothing when connected with usb, what a shame. In recovery (vol up + power) there's an option to mount system, it does but I doubt that can lead to anything root access wise, btw, root noob.

Could you elaborate!?
In which market are you in?
It seems to me that they are still shipping it in many markets Assurance Wireless is in, like Oregon for example... so how did you come by that information?
I got this phone a couple days ago and got my msl code by running adb logcat while dialing ##data# and entering the wrong code, it was 536978 and used this on DFS to change it to 000000 then I was able to access everything once I entered ##diag# and then 000000, and enabled diagnostics. If I can get a working stock firmware or boot IMG I could root through magisk and then do separate fastboot boot (magisk patched)boot.img. I am unable to find a stock firmware for this device if anyone can let me know and I'll have root for us.

In theory you need to go
ZUI官网 - 刷机
Then enter IMEI, serial, email.
Wait for email from Lenovo service with image, enable developers, unlock, then flash it via minimal ADB.
Kind of standard unlocking bootloader procedure. (Didn't unlock by myself, do it at your own risk).
Can try to support in telegram.
Pm me if you wanna try.
Tx alot for answer, i was thinking that i don't want to loose warranty now, so maybe i will keep that phone as it is... The worst is i wanted magic for modul installation for my DualSense5 for gaming....

You need to user IMEI1 (only letters and numbers).
And serial number that you can find in Settings->my phone->technical details->status
My PC didn't find a phone in bootloader mode (have a lot of tries and a lot of devices, may be some drivers conflict)

Not working. IMEI1 contains only numbers (not letters) and both SN and IMEI 1 are valid. I verified that with tech support. They were able to match both but they couldnt use them in the web page for unlocking either. So somehow it doesnt work...

Yes, thats the way.
Can anybody here share there sn.img file with their IMEI & serial numbers? I've tried requesting this file via ZUI many times without success. I'm thinking i could swap out the numbers with my own data.
I'm having the same invalid IMEI1 when I submit for the unlock file.
How did you get the website to work?

General Bootloader unlock token for T-Mobile variant now available

Just a quick heads-up.
unlock token - OnePlus (United States)
www.oneplus.com
By the way, to root without readily available stock firmware, first unlock bootloader, then boot a pre-rooted GSI with DSU Sideloader, pull stock boot partition from there, and finally patch/flash it. This applies to the Open variant as well.

Tried to unlock but apparentpy my device only has 7 digits in the serial number which keeps me from being able to use the website to request the unlock code.
I used the debloat script I found on n200 threads to get oem unlock on option. T-Mobile variant

Try prepending 0s?
Well. I was thinking that doing that would make the unlock token they give me different from what the phone would be expecting

Chatting with OnePlus hasn't yielded anything so far
Just a tip, because in my infinite forgetfulness I wasted an hour last night trying to figure out why I was getting the error, fastboot could not open target HAL.
Remember that you must request the unlock code from fastboot, not fastbootd. Which is what you will boot into if you issue adb reboot fastboot.
So here's a quick step by step.
1.Enable usb debugging. 2. Connect your device and allow access for the computer. My device asks if I want it to charge or transfer files. Select transfer files/Android auto and then use adb start-server. May have to unplug the USB cable and reconnect. Select "always allow this device/PC".
3. Issue "adb devices" to make sure your connected.it should list your device by it's serial number. If not then try unplugging the device and revoke adb authorizations in dev options and toggle USB debugging off and back on, may even need to reboot the device to get it to connect after doing this.
4. If your device is listed under devices go ahead and issue "adb reboot fastboot"
5. Once rebooted issue "fastboot devices" and make sure the device is listed again.(If not listed make sure you have your driver's installed correctly and fastboot is installed correctly, may need to install Android SDK into same folder as fastboot)
6.You can select English or whatever language if you want but it doesn't seem necessary. You are in fastbootd mode you will see if you DO select a language.
So from here issue"fastboot reboot bootloader" device will reboot and you will have scrollable option at the top beginning with a big green START at the top. This is regular fastboot And where you wanna be to get your unlock code for submitting to Oppo for your unlock token.
7. Issue "fastboot oem get_unlock_code"
8. It should return the info you need, you will also need your IMEI number when submitting so be sure to copy that down.
you can copy and paste the unlock code into notepad or Word and delete out the extra stuff so your left with just the two lines of your unlock code as one single contiguous string of numbers.
8. Go to the link listed by OP and submit the required info. And wait for what seems like forever.
ADB/Fastboot commands-quick recap.
1. adb reboot fastboot
2. fastboot reboot bootloader
3. fastboot oem get_unlock_code

Simply "adb reboot bootloader". You won't need fastbootd until GSIs (which I already did ofc).
Thanks, definitely a quicker way to get to fastboot. I guess I wasn't sure if you could reboot directly. Seems maybe I was confusing an older device where you had to reboot to fastboot then "fastboot reboot fastboot" to get to fastbootd for a whole different reason.
This one goes directly to fastbootd when you "adb reboot fastboot"
Nice catch.
with this particular model in scope, what do either of you guys suggest I do if I have gottne the age old bricked message "destroyed boot/recovery image"".. I've tried the MSMTool route and cna't get it to register under Device Manager with the Qualcomm drivers.. It's highly upsetting..
I'm not really sure to be honest, this is my first OnePlus device and just trying to contribute anything I can to get the N20 section up and going as I make progress with the device.
Just a quick search though turns up this and maybe it could be of use if you can still access the bootloader.
the current image(boot/recovery) have been destroyed
I updated my oneplus 8t to KB2005_11.C.11 (OOS 12 ) by first booting to twrp-3.6.1_11-0-kebab.img and then flashed the KB2005_11_C_OTA_1100_all_362b9b_10100001.zip. After the upgrade I had no mobile data on t-mobile and had Volte instead of 5g...

Someone mentions extracting the boot.img from stock image and flashing it. I would imagine it should work for you if the stock firmware can be found and circumstances are similar. Maybe at least a start. Wish I could be of more help, maybe someone else can chime in that knows more.
Try Linux, maybe a live dist. if your on a windows machine that won't recognize it just to get it into a state that you can work with it again.
Just an idea, I don't want to steer you wrong as i still have a lot to learn

Fyi according to a recently made friend who also had the 7 digit serial issue, they were told by OnePlus their dev team is working on an OTA update that will resolve the serial number issues. I'm not sure how that's going to work but I saw the email between them and Oppo support
I guess this must be a widespread issue that they feel is cheaper to invest the amount of money it takes for r&d to come up with a fix than it was to replace a few devices or attempt to do remote repairs.
But this also makes me wonder what avenue they will take to correct the issue.
Also I wonder if someone with the right skillset could gather enough bootloader unlock codes along with the unlock tokens, serial, IMEI, pcba etc.. maybe the algorithm their using to generate the codes could be broken. I'm no crypto expert or math genius either, but if we have the variables to the equation minus one but have the answer, isn't this pretty simple almost pre-algebra?
I mean I guess their not worried about enough people being brave enough to give out sensitive info like that. But maybe Im just ignorant of the complexity of these algorithms.
64 digit key on one end
T-Mobile bought sprint and they have T-Mobile sims no. But I understand that sprint is still a somewhat seperate company (tried to buy a T-Mobile phone and it would not activate on my sprint account. So I bought this from the sprint side of the T-Mobile site so I knew it would work but I assume this is a sprint phone and not a T-Mobile phone so this method would not work.
Can anyone confirm this?

okay peep theres a way i put my oneplus into efu mode, hold both vol up and down then put usb c in continue to hold u should hear PC recognize it
So, before i do it, would deleting the modemst1/modemst2 partitions still let me bypass the t-mobile sim lock and let me unlock the phone like it did on the old oneplus phones?
Flashed a patched boot.img and lost modems. Anyone willing to post the modems? Are they device specific like a device partition?
Sim locked and trying to recover. No radios are working
