I learned to programme on the Commodore Plus 4, had the C64, Spectrum, Amstrad 464 so I'm perfectly happy to ask WHY, why put Windows 95 on a 2023 mobile phone
For the nostalgic sense of doing it, To bring back old memories and have it in my pocket, To play doom and many other win95 games in my pocket, and just because i can the most important thing is reliving your memories if you can.

I see you have the files for Final Doom, I love that series. When Doom 1 first came out in 1993, I stayed awake all night blasting demons. And for months on end. Fond memories. So....does it launch? I'd get a good laugh, watching you try to efficiently play on a phone screen.

It works perfectly and playable i have actually installed Win95 on many of my devices i am jutleys from RGHandhelds.
I might buy a S24 Ultra next year to put Windows 98 on, could get a £20 second hand phone that would run it but makes far more sense to do this

Did you not watch until the end where he was scrolling up and down that list just as smooth as on the iPhone, still in development but it looks so cool.
holy ****. Did anyone else notice HOW FAST all the apps opened up when he pressed them? It takes at least 1-2 seconds more on my device 8525!!! Can anyone here figure out how he is able to make it open sooooo fast?
(1) he is using a Eten phone rather than a HTC?
(2) he probably had it minimized as oppose to closed, that you might have done?
perhaps he did not use HTC X button, or something like that to really close application, not only minimize them. but you right, it is really fast. maybe he overclock his device. In my old FS Loox n500 I can overclock my CPU to 550MHz and it was fast too.

well he's a bit dim then for making a big deal of it before he released it. if he released it first then apple would doubtfully have a leg to stand on to do anything about it.

This guy's good. Only a few weeks since the announcement of the iphone and he's already got a working slidelock & iphone-esque scrolling.
He's got to release. Be it via bittorrent, sendspace-etc where apple can't really touch him. He's not using their code, as gibbon said above, so all he has to do is lose the iphone graphics and apple can't really touch him.

Hi guys, just here to ask if the word "fanboy" is a replacement word for ****er or something. I see this word being thrown around everywhere whenever people are angry.
So what in the world is wrong with being a fanboy? What is the definition of a fanboy? Someone who is a avid lover of another's work and swears on his life to defend that work at all cost?

I had a vaio and it was a huge piece of ****..
The left speaker blew within the first week, and the whole laptop only lasted about a year before dying. I had many problems with it...
Sony/SE products suck imo, this will be my last of either

I also got a Sony LCD TV, many years old and still as good as new. No any scratch or flaw! With a LG it would be dead within 1 week.

Ironically now i am some sort of Trip fanboy.. never even used one of his rom for longer than a hour.

Why out of all my computers (that I cared for exactly the same), suddenly this one falls apart?
My macbook pro hasn't had a single issue yet, and I had it for a lot longer than I did my vaio

Forget to say, mines is also a Bravia... Also got my laptop for 5 years straight without any hardware problems! Few days ago my battery died, it now discharges very fast. But I don't care, because I will get a new game pc.

I have a 52" lg tv actually, have for quite some time now, and it's perfect. Not a single issue. Before this we owned a sony wega trinitron and that was crap too
I love my x10, but I'm sort of disillusioned by the drama I've been through with it.
Hopefully this update will change that and restore my faith in SE.
If we get 4 point multitouch, I will be keeping this phone for a long time

Lmao, I'm using my older brother's 3 year old Sony Vaio VGN-CR29XN, and have been since September, the only problem is overheating, but that's from a broken fan, that was broken from physical damage... So I feel you've been cheated, anyways, Sony has 2 years guarantee, go check it out, haha.

For 16 years old, he has been busy with ics, bulletproof, was busy with quicksense, beastmod, bliss 3.5 sense, and stock 3.5 sense. Along with all these roms for us he was/is also creating all in one tools, kernel flasher utility along with helping other devs and helping us the community with all these questions. So I would say his work is coming along pretty well or great or awesome. I hope this answers your question bc I am sure he is too busy to step away for something someone else can help you with or you could help yourself with.

When I was in school we didn't even have computer classes. We had a computer lab that we had an opportunity to use once a week for about a half an hour. Ah the days of Oregon Trail on floppy.
Heck in some public schools the students are given mac books instead of actual books.

Oregon Trail ftw! Ha good times. And man I wish my middle school did that yeah we got either time for Oregon Trail or Mavis beacon typing. Never had a serious computer class... The closest I almost had in high school was supposed to be web design... Which taught dreamweaver... No real coding at all : / was pretty weak.

what i learn in school
- Intro to java (very basic like hello world and basic java games like the old snake game that eats the apples)
- Webdesign (basic html coding, Dreamweaver other adobe products)
and we use the worst product ever windows to do all this on
Ubuntu/eclipse/aosp source is the best combo

You know what... I'm actually fine with that as long as it doesn't get out of hand.
A lot of mods don't like it. I even made a thread specifically for that in the General section called Off Topic Posts. I was actually expecting it to be like 20 pages long by now. Odd that it isn't. But I think that I'm fairly lenient as long as the OP is fine with the content of the posts being placed within their threads. But the moment I see someone posting duplicates, post pumping, flaming or violating forum rules... that's when I start getting serious. We should know how to enjoy XDA but we also need to be mature about it at the same time. Sometimes we forget how to do that though.

Definitely taking some time.. It doesn't feel near as good as black ops 1 so far. The guns all feel the same, doesn't feel crisp plus it is plagued again by connection problems.
It's early tho.. I'll post pix in a few

I don't have to care for discs. As soon as a new Call of Duty title is released, it goes from the case into my PS3 and doesn't leave until the next release.
Yeah this game is most definitely different...and super different for me.
I've been playing mw2 for 2 years straight. I picked up Black Ops 1 when it came out and then went to mw2 and never looked back..in mw2 when you shot at someone..chances were pretty good that you could kill them. And if they shot at you, chances were pretty good that you could find a way out of the situation before dying. And to me that seems fair because in mw2 there were gun fights I lost because someone ran away and I just didn't hit them enough, and there were gun fights I won because of the same thing.
In black ops 2, if ANYONE sees you..you're dead. They don't have to have good aim or anything. You can't win gun fights unless you win by surprise or your connection is better. Kinda makes me mad. Plus, the spawn system is total trash.
All in all...this game is sweet though and I'm pretty pleased. The game is pretty damn ambitious and I respect that. It really isn't the same ol' COD put out every year.

Is Spawning that bad for you? I ask because I actually think there have been improvements over the last couple of games. Remember though, if you're on a small enough map, like 'Hijacked' for instance, and the entire enemy team is spread about the map, you're gonna spawn close to someone. I feel like I'm put far enough out of the way of danger when I respawn, but I see more of a problem with lag compensation (example: I run through an area, make a turn and don't see someone running up in front of me and get killed, but the killcam will show that I looked right at the person).

Remember though, if you're on a small enough map, like 'Hijacked' for instance, and the entire enemy team is spread about the map, you're gonna spawn close to someone. I feel like I'm put far enough out of the way of danger when I respawn, but I see more of a problem with lag compensation (example: I run through an area, make a turn and don't see someone running up in front of me and get killed, but the killcam will show that I looked right at the person).

Well the spawning is just really bad on small maps...and for some reason I keep playing those maps.But now I'm just getting used to shooting someone and turning right around or to my side because for some reason...people seem to be everywhere but nowhere at the same time. I'm confused as to how there's no Marathon Pro, yet when I kill one person...there are 3 other people next to me despite the fact that I'm pretty far away from where the action should be. And all the hiding and head glitching is really killing me...with no marathon pro its unbearable because I turn around a corner and just get dropped by someone hiding behind anything...then I spawn so far away that making the run to anywhere isn't worth it because someone WILL be hiding.
The hiding in this game is beyond ridiculous. They tried to stop camping but all they did was add some anticamping stuff to Ghost. But there are too many things to hide behind..too many corners..lag compensation issues and some more stuff....it makes playing the game hit or miss.
I pretty much have a heart attack every 3rd game. Ain't no way on earth I'll be able to play this as much as mw2...I'm gonna try to though because I need a new game...but mannnn :/

I've had mine since the 40GB fatty model. Had it up until a couple months ago and the Blu Ray drive went out. I plan to fix it at some point, but I have a slim 160GB now, so it's not priority anymore, LOL.

Ok, I just think it would be cool if someone was able to make a Pokedex UI theme. I'm not a huge fan or anything, I just know that thousands of people would instantly get this app if they thought they could turn their phones into Pokedex's.

Lol! I have plenty of friends who have kids and they OBSESS over Pokemon with them. Haha. Still love Pokemon myself and going on 26... It's fine to love something fun and childish, that's what keeps one alive! Lol.

Really great idea, it would be nice to see a pokedex theme.
should be pretty easy to make too,perhaps using the slideshow feature to move the pokemon through the pokedex.Well in fifities here and me and the son had some great pokemon battles,still into Mr Potter and Co and definately lord of the rings series.

Those are crazy awesome! We'll speak to the guys in charge. We are very aware now of copyright infringement, so we're trying to find ways of including themes like this - without breaking any laws...

Actually found a way to display the dex rotating which was pretty bloody easy really,well at least on my galaxy S4.Simply use the built in frames widget if your firmware supports it and it will rotate them,the drawback is that you can only display each pic for seven seconds before it rotates to the next,anyway just a though in case anyone fancies trying it

We're trying to get a Pokemon theme, maybe more than one (especially after Twitch Plays Pokemon), so we'll keep you informed!
