[Q] Bootloader stuck - PLEASE HELP! - will sell my soul for a fix (to my phone).

Long story short, bootloader is stuck. -- Phone is stuck in a boot-loop of sorts ... it keeps showing the very first screen that shows the Galaxy name and some other info and then flashes that screen over and over again. It is not a boot-loop that loads the OS and keeps loading that continuously. From what I know about phones/programming, which is limited, the bootloader either doesn't exist anymore or the code is not executing properly.
I know there are guides that are similar to my issue, but none of them seem to answer my questions specifically. And when I have attempted some other fixes, nothing happens. I am hoping for a direct answer if anyone has one.
Here's what led to this:
1. I wanted to install the new Android Revolution rom which suggested I have the MJ5 bootloader. I have not attempted to install this rom yet, my issue occurred when I tried to flash the new bootloader.
2. Followed a thread that explained bootloaders and how to install mj5 on note 2 via Odin. --> then got this boot-loop. MD5 and all that jazz was fine. Downloaded from reputable source too.
3. I was/am running a custom rom (JellyBeans build 26 I think) with TWRP recovery. I was previously running CWM recovery, but switched to TWRP because the guide suggested TWRP or Philz recovery for MJ5. Switch between recoveries went just fine. Also, I don't remember what bootloader was installed before I broke it.
I am not a developer (obviously), but I am fairly computer savvy. I can do most things if explained properly. Although I am prone to being an idiot so if someone is feeling a little helpful a step-by-step guide may be best.
I am hoping that someone could (1) provide me with a how-to fix this issue, (2) provide me with a link to the right bootloader that I need to flash in ODIN in order to fix this issue.
PLEASE HELP! I am waiting for some job interview calls this upcoming week and I will be F***ed without my phone. I know it's my fault that the phone is stuck, but I know one of you geniuses here will be able to provide me with some information.
In Summary:
Bootloader is stuck
Phone can get into Download mode, but that's it.
Odin will connect and phone shows up on COM port.
I am an idiot.
I am fine going back to stock recovery/build if necessary to fix this issue.
Thank you all in advance.
P.S. Soul is available upon resolution of the issue; shipping and handling extra ; ) If you don't want my soul I will send you a holiday card with my dogs on it.
You flashed a bootloader for a different phone. Mj5 is for the n7100. The Verizon Note 2 is i605. You have 2 options to get your phone back to 100%. Either use kobols unbrick method found in the general section or send it off to mobiletechvideos and pay them to get it working.
Here is a link to kobol's method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2615587

Thank you for the reply, I will try this now. I saw this thread but was hoping I wouldn't have to do this because of its requirements (screwing with the hardware and such).
Like I said, I'm an idiot.
Thank you for the tip though, it is much appreciated.

You may try the method in this thread: How To: Unbrick A Hard Bricked i605 [n7100 Bootloader Flash] NO Resistor , as an alternative to Kobol's method.

Edl Only Mode

I have an AT&T variant of this device, and I am currently hard bricked as I don't have access to anything but edl mode, all partitions on the device were accidentally wiped by QFIL and I didn't have everything backed up, if anyone can provide help for my issue money can even be provided as compensation as the device would need a full repartition and a custom rom to run on as we do not have a stock firmware for the device.
I am not expecting much help here but I figured I should try as the device is nothing more than a paper weight in the present state.
Kindly approach here. You may get some help.

Well issue is there isn't anything to select so that I can restore the partitions. The entire flash is completely empty meaning the computer or phone doesn't really know where to place things. It needs an entire repartition or something of the sort because I would restore firmware but there is nothing to select for restore in edl

Question Is there an MSM tool for N200?

I bricked my phone by flashing a patched boot image from 11.0.2 to a phone with 11.0.0 and I can't get to fastboot mode - etc. I think MSM is my only way back?
I got it to fastboot mode, but there's no boot image for 11.0.0 available, right? Please help
Is it T-Mobile version or unlocked?
There's MSM tool for T-Mobile version and you can download full ROM for unlocked
If yours is unlocked and you can access recovery, use sideload
Code:
adb sideload
Press spacebar once and drag and drop the ROM onto command window and press enter
This can fix boot as well as making version update

I have no idea how to send it, but I have a boot.img from my factory unlocked N200 (Model DE2117) on firmware Oxygen OS 11.0.0.0.DE17AA. I also have a magisk patched copy of that boot.img. Let me know how to send it and you can give it a shot.
I have found fastboot flashing method for 8T to flash unlocked ROM on T-Mobile version (unlocked bootloader required).
Since T-Mobile version MSM is available, I can use it if anything goes wrong
Stay tuned

If you use the "+ Quote" button, rather than the reply button, it'll create a multiquote, letting you quote and reply to multiple posts all at once (it'll add a "insert quotes" button to the reply box). This eliminates double-posts, which most forums frown upon.

Don't wait to long for their reply .. if they don't answer call them on the phone.. it takes less than a minute to have them speak with you ... I dragged it for too long with them waiting 7 days to send me a shipping label than another 5 for another try at it .. another 4 to get the link for download ..after all that they said they don't have it... but this was a while back ... I'd be on that phone fast.. tell them you need your phone as it's the only one ... honestly if you can get the msm tool it would be amazing

I am familiar with this from Moto, and some previous manual flashes with my OEM OP5. However, after extracting the partition .imgs from the OOS OTA via this tool when I try to `fastboot flash logo logo.img` (among others), I get hit with `FAILED remote: flashing is not allowed for critical partitions`, even after having unlocked with `fastboot flashing unlock_critical`. How were you able to get everything to work?
I also tried flashing the OTA zip via the TWRP, but it seems like the current dev version of TWRP in that thread is completely borked for N200 as far as ROM flashing goes ://

General Theoretical, untested answer for irrecoverably bricked unlocked variant N200's

Warning: Theoretical and last ditch effort to save a bricked unlocked device only.
I'm curious... I found a thread that some have hacked the MSM Download tool to allow flashing of any ops file. So if it's possible, could This Tool used with the Tmobile MSM Download unzipped get those who are unlocked unbricked to the Tmobile setup, then use the other thread Here to switch back to Unlocked? I do not have an unlocked phone, but I'm curious if someone is willing to give this a try on their bricked phone that can't return it now.
Note: If this swaps you to the Tmobile software, there's no guarantee you'll have anything but a phone that cannot be bootloader unlocked again. Since unlocked have no unlock token, trying to do so with a phone that isn't technically Tmobile may be an issue.
I take no responsibility for anyone flashing anything to anything. This is just a friendly sharing of information, and you do what you do at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for the apocalypse.
Older tools simply don't work, already tried during my earlier attempts of conversion.
I do believe that unlocked can be "full-converted" with MSMDT to TMo, but as you already said, that might end up with a deadlocked BL.

I figured if someone has missed their return deadline, it's something that could be used to get their "Brick" up and running, and hope that OP finally releases the MSMDT for unlocked someday.

Question Unbrick OnePlus Nord 20

I was trying to bypass Google FRP lock on this phone, after having no success, I went online looking and downloaded Rom2Box to try to bypass frp.. When I was trying to get the program to discover my device, nothing happened, it never discovered it, but while it was attempting to discover it, my phone had a black screen with a red dot and 2 smaller white dots moving around the red dot in a circle pattern while bumping off of each other.. I don't know what it means, I never saw it before.. .. Now it won't turn on, or show that it's being charged so I think this program bricked my phone..?
I guess I'd like to give Odin a shot at fixing it for me.. But I don't know Odin, I never messed with phone's like this.. Is, this my best or only option?
Try MSM Tool

this usually happens because some component of your device is not loading due to either mismatched security pacthes, some system partition has been altered and cannot load or one of many other reasons. i have a device that works perfectly fine and boots with this oneplus logo rather than the tmobile splash that it used to boot with. for me this was caused by mixing components from different systems. i had to flash matching radios, boot, and system, vbmeta disabled to get the device to function with mismatched partitions but the only thing thats still not working is the tmobile splash, which i dont miss and have no desire to try to fix that so i have been running this device in that state for months with 0 problems other than when one of my mods breaks the system and i just have to undo whatever i modified and im back to a functioning state. thedot with 2 dots bouncing around it is fine so long as everything else works, just means that something in vendor is probably different than what it expects so that part doesnt load or some other partition..... disabling verity and verification can usually get me booting again if this happens whether everything else works and is important to you is your decision to fix it or not. going back stock should fix it all. best thing to do if ur gonna mod is make sure u pull backups of EVERY single partition on the device so you have matching images. would suck to lose efs partitions because they are unique and the only people that can get those back for you is the manufacturer
i recommend using partitions backup & restore from playstore. its free and you can pull all of your partitions for restoring in the future. i recommend setting the options to save as raw(.img) rather than archives and then after it pulls all of them, compress them all into one archive. this will save you from having to extract each image from 100 different archives if you need to do a full restore in the future. best of luck and thanks for your contribution
