Subject: SDIO

I've heard that a new SD (as in SD card) standard is going to be
available soon, called SDIO. It is supposed to support more than
just memory cards via the SD slot - similar to a Compact Flash
slot supporting modems and networks cards etc.
Does anyone know if the XDA supports this ?

Hi, dies anyone know if you can hook up an external modem to the
XDA so that I can get on-line at local call rates in non-GPRS
countries?

Try this site - the link takes you straight to the external
modem answer. The site is full of how to's so well worth
bookmarking. The other link is where you end up with the actual
instructions. It is based on connecting a Cassiopeia, but should
be a start.

Is it really "Phone Edition", or just the regular KSE Truefax?
They removed the Phone Edition from their site last we checked,
so unless you have an older test copy from the time they were
distributing them, we do not see how you could have that...

Is there still no way of receiving a fax on the xda?
It can do everything else pretty much.
The complete integrated office toy can't send/ recieve faxes.
