Is the O2 XDA / Tmobile MDA Serial Hotsync Cable the right
Serial cable for the manipulator?

As long as it's plugs into your serial port (and not your USB
port), and you follow the instructions it should work fine.

Is there a terminal program that will let me connect to a USB
port, because my solder isn't working and it's too hard to
obtain a serial xda cable?

Subject: Manipulator & Radio 4.16

The Manipulator can not change IMEI with radio version 4.16. It
just set IMEI to all zeros except the first 8 digitals.

From: XDA developers

That's weird. There is a _lot_ of checking in the IMEI part, and
we would expect it to work correctly, or not work at all and
display "<ERROR>" in the IMEI window.
Could you describe rather precisely what happened/happens ?
(mail to [email protected] if you don't want to type the
whole story here...)

No wait, this is what it does if the whole block which contains
the IMEI cannot be read. What happens if you change it back to
your original IMEI as printed on the back?

am unable to configure it to work. what should i select as modem

Subject: Phone Edition?
From: XDA developers

Is it really "Phone Edition", or just the regular KSE Truefax?
They removed the Phone Edition from their site last we checked,
so unless you have an older test copy from the time they were
distributing them, we do not see how you could have that...

Faxes please
Is there still no way of receiving a fax on the xda?
It can do everything else pretty much.
The complete integrated office toy can't send/ recieve faxes.
Somebody having a laugh somewhere......
