how can I make the backup of my SMS before making a hard reset?
I don't view this option :-(

Yup, it's compiled for ARM processors. Unfortunately, it appears to be in a non-Western script - the characters won't display on my XDA so I don't know what to do!

OK, I tried it and it seems to work fine. Haven't attempted a restore, but then it's better than nothing if it works or not. After the initial page, most of the instructions are in English.

I dont think its do to a missing app from his clean rom.
You have to put usb it into kies mode or ask on connection and turn off debugging mode if on:
settings->applications->development-> uncheck usb debugging (if turned on)
settings->wireless and network->usb settings-> ask on connection or samsung kies
Also, windows 7 causes problems, so if you have windows seven this worked for me:
click on the shorctut or exe file (kies.exe which you will find in C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Kies) and press troubleshoot compatibilty after it finishes doing what it does press try recommended settings->start program and try to connect

Just go here (yeah, it's for the Galaxy S, but apk are more or less the same ).

im on JPF, but how can i install widgets/gallery/mp3 player? cuz every time i try to install it says: app not installed. and the only thing i can press is done ( i think its done, on my mobile it is named gereed dutch^^)

No, actually I don't even know how to do this, haha
Start by choosing reset all settings in the settings menu, else I recommend a firmware repair, which may result in a data wipe.

i've tried to reinstall/reflash the firmware(don't know how to call it), i did it by the wotan program, but it didn't solve the problem D:
problems only with the box app ??
Try uninstalling it and then reisntall it
Or find a lower version APK of the app

anw, really strange problem..
so you did clean flash with wotan and didnt do anything else? you installed some app which could possibly mess with settings?

yes, the only app I've installed that could have done something to it is onavo, but i'm not sure if I've installed it before or after the thing I did by wotan.

I am not saw problem with GPS when I use Sygic GPS but when I used Endomondo Sport Tracer GPS Signal loaded 10 minutes.
Read this:
"everything seems so be nice and smooth. after uninstalling and disabling the crapware and installing my usual apps it still has ~130-160MB of free ram (in advanced task manager)
the only thing i found strange was, that the GPS took ages (+10 minutes...) to get my location the first time (with google location service disabled). but the next few times it was working ok. don't know if this happens more often. hope not.

I am not sure about opx..but I had used it In my previous device..and its worked..if you are on custom ROM then hopefully it will work..give a try.

I think it won't work with that one, because the devices have different pictures to replace.
Someone would have to make one for the OPX...

Or better just copy the pack.txt in the folder,rename to pack.bat and run it.
Also made the logo for you.

I did this on accident not that long ago, mine says oppo rather than oneplus now. I'm not sure how to change it back though

It won't help since it's a system app and bootloader is locked with no way to write to system partition. Do a backup of your data, factory reset and restore data... the app will be back.

Really don't understand why it isn't working when it was working originaly when Mate 20 series released then later on been replaced by google sms...
I think I need to uninstall google sms app and then install orig huawei sms app

Only ONE app can have permission for reading/sending SMS/MMS at same time.
Try reinstallng the stock rom app and then setting it as the default app for messaging.

Probably you are installing the wrong version.
Try extracing the apk from the original stock rom.
Definitely, it will be the exact same version.

It won't be back I had google messages..
But I think when 20x released had huawei sms but it was in android 9 but they probably locked it in android 10
