I understand this sentence as follows:
It is only possible to edit the Ext. ROM, but not the OS-ROM and not the radio stack. I think it should work with the qtek as well...
But maybe you should ask Softworkz directly to get a definite answer, because I do not want to be blamed for ruining your little gemstone. ;-)[/quote]

I'm a bit confused.. There are so many ROM's floating around....
I'm currently using "O2 XDA II->WM2003SE->Sin->Merged->v1.0" which suits my Aust O2 XDAII
I have reinstalled Bluetoothtools and not installed the email section to avoid the mail attachment problems.
Is there a better ROM out there than the one I am currently using?
ROM image is based on version: 2.06.00WWE (ver 4.21.1088 build 14132)
Radio image is version: 1.18.00
Extended ROM image is a variance of version 2.06.100a (Sin.Merged.v1.0)

You already have the best version...
All you need is to change your EXT_ROM. The one you are using is based on the Restored file (from BackUp)...
No need to re-flash your device, just delete all files from your Extended ROM. Extract files from any ms_.nbf files then copy these files in your EXT_ROM including the config.txt..
If you dont know how to extract then use the search button (header above) looking for ROM Image Editor. You will find the tools and the instruction HOW TO...
I recommend to keep your current Device Version... I have no problem using it...

I just want to install the Blackberry software on my Qtek s200. I found many threads about installing, editing and so on. But my problem is that I can't find the HTC64 Extended ROM Tool for editing.
So my question is, can anybody post me the link where to get this tool for editing my .nbf file or (better solution for me) can anyone link me a edited .nbf file for qtek s200 where I can install the blackberry software.
Would be great if anyone can help me ...

isn't anybody out there who can post a wm6 rom with a changed header so that bb connect is working??

I am a newbie, so please be gentle on me . This post is related to my earlier post

and is an attempt to make my Lenovo ET960 a usable device. It currently runs a Chinese version of WM2003SE (ROM version: S603 051229). I have tried registry hacks and other UI options available on the web and nothing works. The final conclusion from my side is that I will need to flash my device with an WWE ROM. The trouble is there is none available.
I have managed to download from various sources 5 different ROMs for my ET960. As far as I understand, three of them are Russian (RU henceforth) and the rest two are Chinese (CHS henceforth). See below for more details and links.
I cannot open these ROM files (*.960 extension) except with a HEX editor. One of them is a ROM dump with the bootloader.nb0 file included.
Please advice me on how to open, edit and then rebuild these ROM files.
From what I have been able to research, the RU ROMs most likely have English mui files which I can use, but I would need some guidance.
So, this is what I want to do, with guidance from you all...this is my first attempt. I want to extract the *.mui files from the RU ROM and build and WWE ROM replacing the relevant *.mui files latest CHS ROM (see below for description).
As far as I understand, the RUS version uses Paragon LEng for user interface translation from WWE to RUS, so it may actually be a WWE ROM, I cannot know unless I find a way to view the files in it.
I am providing rs links to the ROMs I have downloaded. MODs please upload them in XDA ftp for future use, if you think they are useful. I am also attaching the ROM update utility together with the translated ROM upgrade instructions.
