I have just got myself a XDA unlocked and using it on T-Mobile. My question is, when i receive call from contacts in my address book it shows who is calling, but when i receive a text message from the same person, it just shows the number and not their name. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make it show their name because I don't understand why it isn't?

if you are happy with your current ROM you can got to www.yorch.net and search for "SMS patch" at applications section, or you can cook a new ROM that has this fix already.

I can't help but think this is a dumb question, but I've searched for the answer here as well as trawled through the phone settings without luck.
When I receive a call, the caller id offers me the name of the person calling, so long as they are inthe contacts list of course :wink:
However, received SMS messages remain unresolved and I'm given a semi-useless phone number. We all know what a pain it can be trying to fit a name to a number......
SO guys, what am I missing here ?

From Paragon Software there is a small patch to fix this.
Try Searching for Paragon at this forum or /and google

The e-mails I send from my Galaxy S3 are always received in Times New Roman, no matter what font i select from the settings. I have two questions.
1. Is there a way I can make the emails sent from my phone to appear in Calibri Font when received?
2. How can I make part of the text in italics and underline or Bold and make them appear so when received ?

Please help or confirm if anyone is having trouble with group text messages. As of right now, i was only getting group messages from the mate 9, m10p, and 20p has no luck what so ever. Is anyone else having this problem. i dont see any option in the message setting area to adjust at all..thank you very much for the in put and thoughts.

So when i send something in a group message, it goes thru, and right underneath the message it will have details next to the time stamp. when i clicked into the details it tells a list of people in the group and the time it was sent out to those individuals. those recipients will ask me why i'm sending them individual texts and why not group messages.

I know Watusi WhatsApp on iPhone can give u notification if someone trying to type a message even if its not sent u still get notification someone tried to type.
but what about android ? anyone WhatsApp version can do that ?
