Has anyone here pre-ordered a magnesium case for the mda III from proporta.com ? I ordered this case in march.. and im still waiting for it.. been emailed loads of times that i'll get the case in mid april, early may.. mid may.. end of may early june.. couple of weeks..
taking the mick arent they? I even emailed them at the beginning of june and they replied i should be expecting it end of may LOL.. i bet they just copy and paste rubbish from one customer to another..
I was literally going to order a magnesium case at the weekend, but if they are still hanging about I think i will go with the aluminum case, unless anyone knows a reason why I shouldn't?

Mine is 6 months old and I really liked it until... the camera side of it started to split in 2 because the 2 layers of leather are GLUED and not stitched :evil:
Just ordered the flip one from mobilefun.co.uk (GBP 19 or something like that) as a replacement. Looks much like the original from O2 for the XDA2

Yes, sorry, you are correct, I should have searched more before starting a new thread. As of a week ago there was not too much info out there so I should have realized that a week in the life of the awesome HD is a looooong time!

Ordered it on the same day! I am in the US. Worth waiting for though. Not sure how good the screen protector is although I did find one small flaw with it: no cutout for the video lens.

i got it just now.. it fits fine.. but the bottom of the glose is exposed a little bit.. so iono... im going to keep using the pouch from HTC for now till i get the invisibleSHIELD on the phone.. i also ordered that hard ruber case.. ill see what i like best..
Found on eBay and ordered. About $40 US. Will report back when I get it. Looks good at first blush.
Got an email stating the case is on its way. Actually, in this country so hopefully should have it in hand within days.
Arrived today. Not bad shipping from the UK I must say!
First impressions: Nice feel to what doesn't seem like top-grain cowhide but better than I honestly expected. Smooth and supple. Overall construction better than average. Little fuzzy end that you can see on the lid will be trimmed but that's the only one. Snaps are secure and hidden when closed (nice touch!). Magnetic closure on top flap not too tight but no danger of flipping open. I know the stitching "looks" light but it's really black. None of the ports are covered. Dock fits quite snug as does the tab. Both join up nicely and the case wraps well around both. Camera opening line up well.
Overall, I am quite pleased.
November Update:
After using the case for a couple months now remain very please with the durability of the case overall. Have not done anything special, just back and forth to work and back. Great deal. Very pleased.
Finally ! This is the type of case that I have been searching for. Looking forward to your review.

Same here. Now that the battery drain on my keyboard has been repaired I also wanted something like this. Did not want to shell out over $100 for the TufLuv case though.
It's coming from across the pond so it'll be a while I suspect.

Must say I saw that (or something like it) earlier. I tend to shy away from ordering anything from HK or China only because it takes so dang long to ship anything!!! Thought shipping from England might be shorter.

I got the tuff-luv verison from amazon (used vouchers so it cost me nothing)
This one sounds better!
The tuff-luv one fits OK mostly. But the ports on the keyboard can be blocked when you open it as the keyboard is only fastened at the front so it slides back as you open the case. The back camera partly obscured as well!
This is a straight 1on1 copy from the tuff luv version, except for a few minor details.

True I think.
The Tuff-luv version has a stand on the back of the tablet case. Its fixed position, but actually works farly well for my useage. The keyboard looks better held on this version though.
On balance I think this ones is actually slightly better!

Sure does and has the same flap to prop up the tab. Works seamlessly with both. Quite a snug/secure fit. Agree that it's a Tuf-Luv clone. I wanted the Tuf-Luv but just couldn't justify the price! Very pleased with this one.

i just got it today not bad. fits perfectly but the stylus is a tad nonsensitive. a few wads of cotton stuffed in its cap worked

Ditch the stylus. The Adonit Jot is the stylus to get. Amazing stylus. Works excellently with the TF.

word. just ordered one as well. nice find, kind of a leather case combined with a smart cover.
Before you start to order stuff, what if you want to just hold onto the tablet with your hand and NOT use the stand? Looks like you will have a large flopping cover to deal with which looks to be a pain in the butt. There will be times I want to use my tablet on the go and not use a stand at all...the last thing I want to deal with is the cover getting in the way. Maybe that's why they don't post any pictures of it in a NON stand way? There will be much more out there soon once the tablet picks up pace.
Eh... I had one similar on the xoom and it was fine. You fold it behind. Point is you will most always use the lap angle

Yes and it's better than the wedge in the back type stand. I am sure better cases will be made but this is a great starter for protection

Yes, I have one and it is very good. already use four days and was really mean something else. just did a search on ebay for sikai and prime and voila...
Edit: i don't use it with the dock... for me the dock is just for extra batery. I prefer a thin case like this without the leather

I Love the look of this case.
So much, I want to order one myself.
Price looks great as well ($31)
Trying to register was a pain to start with.
Once that was done I received a very unclear activation email.
The so called English on the site itself and the email was real bad.
After that, I tried to go back to the website to order my goodies.
But all I get is a page loading error.
Finally I decided to quit .
I even feel uncertain now about the website at this moment.
I might (hope) to be wrong but at this moment I want to wait and see how your order ends.

Just got the case today and so far I am happy with it. I like the feel of the case and it does not add much weight since it has been made from a light weight material.
The cut-outs all line up and the quality is good. Just tried taking some photos and there doesn't seem like there is a problem (I know that the cut-out can sometimes affect the flash). What I also like about the case is that I can access the charge port easily.

Lol, I think I agree with you after a second look at it. I ended getting a separate Case Logic tablet bag and just received my Sikai case today. Tried it with the dock but it really does look ugly and it's not very functional since the flap covers part of the keyboard.

Mine took awhile also. I ordered mine on the 24th March, so you should prob get yours soon. They must have a thing against Aussies...

I just got my Sikai case it. It is pretty sharp looking!
For me the best feature is that it doesn't look like leather or fake leather. It has a nice minimalist modern appearance to it that doesn't feel pretentious but woudl work well in a corporate environment.
