Hey guys, anybody know where i can buy a replacement shell for my xda? i have one of the earlier units and paint is peeling really bad. i don't want to replace it under warranty since i have the 64mb upgrade on it.

My screen has a crack in it and needs to be repaired. Has anyone dealt with a company or individual who they could recommend to fix this?
It's not covered by a warranty since i purchased it from e-bay. Please help - my little baby doesn't work very well with a cracked screen!

I think I've searched all sites I know of but am still unable any that offer faceplates or complete housings for our Touch HD (yes, I'm one of those who have the issue with the coating of the faceplate)
Does anyone have a good reliable source which could have them yet?

for anyone reading this.. i think he means.. replacement housing for the phone.. the actual pieces from the phone.. NOT extra phone cases or covers..
Of course, I need a replacement faceplate. I thought it was clear enough

probably not what you'll want to hear, but your probably not going to find anywhere other than htc for replacement housing, they'll keep those moulds well under raps.
then your faced with the warranty validity if you manage to source some parts. who's ur service provider, and i'm sure you'll get a warranty replacement due to your devices freezing up / locking all the time. contact them and moan!
i'm sure someone, somewhere will be able to replace due to its software faults!

E-bay is a good source for replacement parts.
Sometimes you can get real good bargains.

I got my new case from Shenzhen (free of charge, but my Chinese partners had to pay for it here: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/218220985/housing_for_HTC_touch_HD.html ), but I still haven't had time to visit a service center

Hi... I remember someone asking about compatibility between the A1/S100 screens and the Liquid E. Just wanted to confirm that the A1/S100 screens work just fine in the E. I replaced it about an hour ago and everything is working great. The screen and cables look identical to the one inside my E to begin with so it was a matter of a direct swap.
If interested, got the sucka from "ibestone" off the bay. Came with tools too (although I think the screws are a T5 and not the T6 given).

Just for your information,my liquid did broken the screen itself 3 days after i took it
to ACER for a sim slot repair(out of warranty at that time, so i did pay for it)..
so i did went back to acer, and kind of "make a noise" at the center...
finially Acer gives me a free new screen....
PS:there is actually a bunch of liquid users had experience screen with Liquid, and people did build a group on "facebook".
and i've heard about few causes that "Free-Screen repair" from acer HK..

Buy a white one - they're plastic not glass so shouldn't be fatally affected by your clumsiness

I got one from a seller on ebay that sold refurbshed parts. Easy to fix, NFC works perfectly and as it's an OEM part it's as tough as you'd expect.

It turns out the white plastic one I referred to is a crap non-OEM part.

Try Witrigs. At least they're being transparent as to which of their parts are OEM and which ones are third party "custom" components.
