What Windows version are you running on the PC? XP with Service Pack 1?
Many users -including me- are unable to sync via USB with WM2005 because WM2005 needs a different USB driver that is part of service pack 2.
I use bluetooth to activesync.
Cheers

unable to find device driver

Hi Guys,
I have an O2 ATOM Exec which was fine initially. I bought a new notebook with Windows VISTA and now I'm having troubling syncing. I have downloaded the latest Windows Mobile Device Centre and notebook is fully up to date. When I attach the USB cable windows finds the new device. I ask it to search for the driver but it cant find the device driver.
Can somebody please help me?
Thanks heaps from now.
Hi again,
Can someone please help me. Do I need to download a device driver? the OS cant seem to recognise the device. It says unable to find device driver for Windows CE USB Device.
I would really appreciate if someone can point me to the right direction.
I have the same problem. Who knows please tell me. thank
Have you all try calling Microsoft or O2?
Goto http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/default.mspx
Select the following according to you OS.
Synchronize with your PC
•For Windows XP or earlier:
Download ActiveSync 4.5
•For Windows Vista:
Visit the Windows Mobile Device Center
>_> I think your only recourse is to VM WinXP and Async from there (I don't know if this is possible, but you can try). IIRC Vista has problems syncing to older devices. <_<

If You use wm6 or 6.1 please use internet sharing in windows mobile.
Hi!!!
What if one is using WM5???? I think MWG is really behind schedule with drivers. Its no point buying MWG phones if they can't keep drivers uptodate and easily available.

upgrade ur device to wm6

Can StarTrek be connected to Linux?

My daily system in my laptop is Ubuntu 8.04. Under the original AT&T Cingular 3125 wm5 Rom, I can connected my Cingular 3125 to my laptop XP system as a USB modem. Of course, I also can use Activesync to synchronize the contacts and email between wm5 and XP. However, after I flashed the rom to wm6 I can't make my 3125 as a modem anymore.
Now I read two threads about the connection of Hermes and Linux.

Should work same.
Thanks for your reference. But I don't have bluetooth connection in my computer, I can only use the USB cord.

resolved as a USB Ethernet card.

[Q] TG01 as USB Serial Modem

I found EnableDUN.lnk shortcut in \Windows folder (and the program with the same name).
Running program allows to switch TG01 from ActiveSync mode to Dial-Up Networking (DUN) mode - see attached screenshot.
After selecting DUN menu item my laptop (Windows 7) switched off ActiveSync and identified my TG01 as USB Serial Modem, but could not find a suitable driver for this modem.
Does anyone know where to get this driver?
Hi.
Well, very old post but without any response.
You can utilize one of HTC .ini script and fix it for tg01 purpses.
Works fine. I'am just writing this post utlizing tg01 as as usb serial modem.
