just downloaded and installed rom 4.00.01 eng radio ver 4.21.00
everything on xda seems ok
but cannot sync with ms active sync 3.6
any clues

I could be wrong but I believe sheran mentioned to me once that WME2003 REQUIRES activeSync 3.7 will not work otherwise.

I have installed the new patched version of PPC 2003 and i have Active Sync 3.6 i am having the following error on my xda "Incompatible Version of Active Sync etc..."
did anyone faced the same problem :?

2.06.100a my questions are everytime i use my xda 2 cradle to active sync my files this is the message that appears on my xda 2 lcd " INCOMATIBLE VERSION OF MICROSOFT ACTIVESYNC SOFTWARE, SYNCHRONIZATION HAS BEEN DISABLED, UPGRADE ACTIVE SYNC ON YOUR DESKTOP AND RECONNECT" What should i do inorder for me to sync my files to my pc? where can i upgrade my activesync version 3.7? after my recent upgrade to WM 2003 SE all the software programs i install has this message that always appears on my lcd " THE PROGRAM U INSTALLED MAY NOT DISPLAY PROPERLY BECAUSE IT WAS DESIGNED FOR A PREVIOUS VERSION OF WINDOWS MOBILE SOFTWARE" are this things normal after upgrading??? What are really the benefits of upgrading to WM 2003 SE? And what is Extended_Rom? Thank you very much!

Hi all,
since I've installed Win2003Se I can't use ActiveSync By Bluetooth connection.
When I hit on Connection via Bluetooth nothing happens, serial port connection and user autentication don't start.
My PDA recognize without problems the Bt device on my Pc, only ActiveSync is the problem.
Anyone ca help me?

It is a BUG of 2.20 CHS version,it was discussed time ago.
Actually there is no patch to this.
Maybe you can try install Widcomm Bt
stack and activesync
There are no ActiveSync problems with WM 2003 SE. Please do a search on how to resolve it.

Hi, the problem isn't in Active Sync, but using it by Bluetooth.
When start Active Sync via Bt don't start any service..so I think the problem is in serial port connection..

Did try a search but seems to be lots of caveats! Is there a set of files/instructions that I can follow/use to upgrade my XDAII to WM2k3SE without causing any problems?
Will i need to reinstall tomtom etc after the upgrade?

You can check out the available versions on the ftp site.
You also need 2 DL er2003edit, this is a simple user friendly program that you use to set your operator ID.
I don't know about tomtom 5 i have tomtom 3 and it works fine.
I'm no expert but I managed to do it all with the available information
