O2 XDA Screen appears jagged and mirrored! - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Hi all...
I have an O2 XDA that I hadn't used in several months (I was waiting for my Serial Cable to show up - don't ask why it took several months to show up). When I placed it on the cradle again, the unit came on and the screen was mirrored and jagged . Please see the image to understand what I mean...

Any ideas as to what is wrong and how I can fix it?
Thanks,

I suggest you already tried soft and hard reset?!
Chris

I sure did... But to no avail.
I contacted O2 and thankfully it is still on warranty and they will take a look at it...
Any way to re-lock the O2?
Thanks,

This was a common hardware problem on the first generation iPAQs (36xx series), which were also manufactured by HTC (the company that makes the XDA hardware). It happened to my iPAQ 3650, and the only fix was to send it back to Compaq to be repaired. IIRC, it's just a loose connector, or something, inside. Hopefully, O2 will take care of it for you.

I had this effect on my XDA recently, but it was much worse than shown in that pic. Sent it back to o2 and it needed a new screen.

spv camera????

hi,
is there any possibilty to use spv 's camera with ppc pe t-mobile????
connector is same,but the drivers may be different....
any solution plz.
I am interested in this being tested out too.
I was given a free spv camera buy a friend. The camera fits in the slot although it does point in the opposite direction. I.E. fine if you want to take self portraits.
I just couldn't find any software or drivers to control it. Any ideas??
heard this before
the common knowledge on here is that the camera will not work. it requires an sdio slot, xda don't have one. sorry all
OOOO, no ,
i was 100% shure ,it will work ..
I just recieved my VeiwTake CM35C SD Camera for XDA.
I have to say that am quite suprised by the quality of the software included.
The image quality is not great. Even in my well lit office, the images look dark. But for the ability to snap a picture and send it via POP3 is very cool.
Here is the 1st picture I took of my lunch:

[Q] Screen Dead Zone

Hi,
Few days ago I noticed that when I wanted to accept or cancelled some pop-ups, or when I was writting I had no more the accuracy I used to.
First I thought it should be an ICS issue, but then I realized that this lack of accuracy was only on a specific zone of the screen, so I decided to activate one of the Developer options, the Pointer location one, to asure it was a concrete zone and this is what I found out:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As you can see, there's a zone where you can drag(sometimes) but, as it is shown in the last picture, instead of one single touch it makes to right out of the zone.
I have to say that the mobile hasn't suffered any falls nor hits.
So I'd like to know if anyone else has suffered this problem or if someone has any possible solution.
If not, I'm afraid I'll have to send it to repair so I take advantage of the thread to ask if someone knows if I'll have trouble to send it because I bought it to a swiss guy(which sent me the bill too) and I'm from Spain...
Any help is grateful,
greetings!
P.S: The last thing I flashed or installed was days before this started to happen
Bringing it up...

All I'm able to tell is that it's a Samsung device, and it may be GSM because of the microSIM slot I see on the back. The back had no battery, no cover, no SIM, the screen is clearly decimated, two capacitive buttons missing (it takes talent to break capacitive buttons) and most buttons are pretty much loose.
I may spend a little money to get this thing fixed up, assuming it even turns on. I planned on getting a battery to test out first, then if it worked, fixing up the phone and keeping it or selling it. Not anytime soon, since I just bought a Nexus 4 while already low on leisure money, but it would be nice.
From the picture you provided and the detailed description it appears to be a Samsung Epic 4g.
If your interested in some replacement parts for the device I would recommend taking a look at these parts www.globaldirectparts.com/Samsung-Epic-4G-Replacement-Repair-Parts-s/6425.htm.

hello everyone,
it looks like i'm facing real problem here
it started when that mobile fell on the ground it had some cracks on the screen and then when i turned the power on again it appeared....
when i leave the mobile and the screen go black for about 10 minutes (standby mode ) the whole mobile powers off and i have to remove the battery and put it on again to power it on but if i left the mobile screen goes black with a music on then it doesn't do that it works normally
that problem disappeared for 5 months after that came back again few days ago and do the same
so anyone have any idea what is that !!?
Try Reflashing software ...
or probably get it repaired by qualified personnel since there appears to be loose contact ...
ofcourse if your phone has the problem as you suggested in title then it's better off contacting these guys ...they are allegedly pro at such stuff

That is a hardware problem. You have no choice but to get it repaired. The symptoms clearly state that this has nothing to do with software. I am sorry.
thanks guys for helping i tried to reflash it but nothing happened so it's a hardware problem
guess i'm gonna repair it anyway
thanks alot for concerning

please help,fake htc one m7??

I have purchased this phone and arrived today with a known fault,limited service,no signal. The phone is cheap and boxed in mint condition. First thing i did was get imei number from box and phone and contacted htc who confirmed unlocked,and my own research,not barred. I was hoping to be able to replace the sim reader to cure fault but now i am told because the sim card is read,i.e comes up 3 in the settings but still no signal,then it cant be a fault with the sim reader. Also tied EE and that tries to read and get signal,then goes off with no signal. I tried a factory reset,which works within the settings,but impossible to get to boot menu using power,volume down,. i will try and upload a picture of box as the picture is somewhat different to the one shown prior to buying and looks brown instead of gold. Also i downloaded antutu officer which confirmed genuine. HTC said its genuine although registered in hong kong and shipped over here. Is it possible for an imei clone or anything i can check before i try and claim a return? cheers
