I want to show an Operator-Logo (got it as bmp, gif....) on my today screen. Not as background, only maybe some pixels.
Any idea?

Modify the background image to contain your desired operator logo, and put it back on the device.

Does anyone know how to place animated gif to the manila home screen to cover the Operator text(I mean with overlap)
on upper layer(Like Forelayer)?
I know that animation should not be added to the home screen but maybe another layer to display.And would be freely positioned on the xy coordinates.
Maybe with a 3rd party application?
Can anyone recommend a program that can display animated-Gif on today screen with configuration options?

I want to show a gif file on the manila home screen.
I'm talking about not the animated wallpapers but a single Gif-file.
If you look at the attachments, you understand what I mean.
I know that it is impossible for a simple way.
But see if there is a solution...

I just downloaded it fore take a look, and it's more clear now on what you wil but till here I didn't saw a solution/option fore this.

First I would like to thank you answer my question.
Not as background but as a separate gif animation, which is can be freely positioned.
For example, to cover the operator text.

Your Icon set is from Dinik Valeria set, fore the moment there aren't other icon's available. and Dinnik is working hard to do some new updates, so you need to wait.

I forgot that it wasnt in a cab.....
You can place that file into the windows folder in your device memory, overwrite the one thats already there and restart sense.
Ill make you a cab and attach it to this post in a minute if thats easier........

I know it's a software problem CHT, the question must ask the author of the program, the transparency of cab files for this are not met

you cant, thats just the manila weather animation not fitting the screen properly.
There might be a fix but I havent seen one

Finally, I make it working. The problem was the wallpaper who was shorter. Once I change it to another, the weather went all the way down.
Off topic: do you know a way to put high quality pictures to contacts without 3rd party apps? If not, what is the maximum resolution for contacts pictures that can be assigned?

I want to theme the Stock android keyboard (4.0 and 4.1 which is.. at least of the theming and images and colors and so on.. the same).
I ahve done everything but one thing.
I want to make it completely black and i have succeeded so far.
But i cant find the file that gives the color for the background of the suggestion field (where the suggested words are shown in). That field is still grey....
Does anyone know, in which file that color is given?

So, I have a bunch of png images that I imported to my phone from my PC. I dumped them straight in my DCIM folder.
On the PC, these images have transparent backgrounds, however, when I view them using androids gallery app, the background is black. Similarly, when using these images as stickers for my text messaging app (Naver Line), the backgrounds will also show as black.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

the images have no background and android shows full images so android fill black background to the images
Ok, so the only way then would be to load it directly into LINE somehow, since that has transparencies.
