Wallpapers Size!!

What size of wallpapers should we use for Sony Tablet S?
Sent from my Sony Tablet S using xda premium
Original (stock) wallpapers are sized 2048x1504, and I've seen that size recommended for tablets elsewhere also.
So I guess when your image has these dimensions and you set the wallpaper crop box to maximum size you get non-stretched (or very little stretched) image.
Just keep in mind, that it crops out good chunks from top and bottom in portrait mode and even bigger chunks in landscape mode.
I have made a Sony S1 Tablet wallpaper template in Photoshop.
It has a size of 1920x1408px and its different areas are colour-coded (and it also has guidelines in PS-file):
- Red: invisible area (some of it is briefly shown while the tablet is turned and the wallpaper flips)
- Darker green: middle home screen in landscape mode
- Lighter green: whole scrollable area in landscape mode
- Darker blue: middle home screen in portrait mode
- Lighter blue: scrollable area in landscape mode
It's been tested and is pixel-perfect if you set the crop correctly- when setting as wallpaper, first move the blue crop box to the upper-left corner and then stretch the lower corner to the most lower-right point and click "Ok".

Files attached are:
- photoshop template file (psd) zipped
- same template in jpeg format
1920 x 1408
Looks like raundown is right, image sized 1920x1408px seems a bit crisper than the image with the size I previously suggested.
I have corrected the wallpaper image template in my previous post, it's now 1920x1408px.

[Q] Smaller home screen text

Is there a way to make the app names text smaller? For some reason, I just hate how large the text is.
Well, you could use Small Font setting under Display and then adjust text sizes in all apps a bit higher (in their respective settings) ...
It needs a Theme edit I believe (not sure) but not a priority case for any Themers out there

Need a wallpaper created!

I am looking for a very generous person to make me a custom wallpaper since I have no idea how to make them.
I am looking for something very simple. (I think it's simple anyway)
I want a very simple, dark, holo (blue), maybe even with the Nexus logo involved with it, background.
On the left most screen, I want, in 4.2.2 font and holo blue colour "OTHER"
Second left most screen I want, once again in the same font and colour "GOOGLE"
Middle/Home screen, same font, colour and style "SOCIAL"
Second right most screen, same font, colour and size "GAMES"
And finally, the right most screen, same font, colour and size "UTILITIES"
If anybody could do this for me it would be grat!

Why don't you download an abstract wallpaper with the colours you want and make the rest with minimalistic text?

How stupid/forgetful (please select one) of me!
Do you know any good wallpaper sites? I've tried Zedge and I can't find what I'm looking for, or at least nothing that is high enough resolution, and if possible I want something that doesn't scroll when you change screens. Or is that a setting?

Yes, this is a setting. Have you tried google images and changing resolution to 2560x1600? There are some nic abstract wallpapers. You can also try with 1920x1080.
I just go to Google images and type in 2560x1600...get tons of images

App with wallpaper settings

HI all!
I just found this awesome wallpaper on the web, and decided that i want to use it on my phone, however when i choose the wallpaper in the wallpaper menu, it doesn't show the full wallpaper. It shows me a cropping tool, which i can increase the size of, but i am not able to have the full picture as my wallpaper, without cropping the sides off. Is there a way to avoid this and have the whole picture as my wallpaper, instead of a small portion, or an app that allows me to customize the wallpaper settings? I think that the reason it doesn't work is that it want's to have the paralax effect too, so it needs a horizontal view too.
Thank you in advance!

[Q] UCCW Widget aspect ratio

Hey XDA members
I have created a UCCW widget but I cant get it to absolute widget proportions on my home screen. In other words, I cant expand my widget in uccw to meet the size I want in my homescreen
SCREEN SHOT 1: The widget is perfectly fit. If I expand it, it goes out of the box and become invisible.
SCREEN SHOT 2: The widget goes perfect with Horizontal size but plays some gap in vertical size.
I cant vertically expand the image because it will simply result in invisibility, whereas downloadable skins from Playstore have absolute proportion on my homescreen. Can anyone help please? THANKS
