How To Remove Old Appointment Locations? - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

If you've specified locations for past and current appointments, the PPC keeps a history of it somewhere in the database...
Such that each time when you create a new appointment, the location drop-down menu shows all the locations you've keyed in before.
Searching the registry yielded no finds. How does one get rid of past and useless locations?

Drop downbox appointments

Hello
When creating a new appointment the subject and location fields both have a drop down menu. The subject is pre-filled from the OS (meet with, Lunch, Dinner etc.) and the location will contain several revcently used locations.
Is ther a tool that allows me to mange the lists in these drop down boxes? I like to set my own texts.
Help appreciated,
Francois

A few issues

Hiya
Firstly, may I say what a great resource this forum is!! I've learnt a lot and I've only had the XDA for just under 2 months!
SMS storage, is anyone closer to finding out where this is stored? I have managed to locate the messages you send OUT in the windows\messaging folder, though it's only the actual text and doesn't contain any of the timestamped stuff etc. I cannot for the life of me find where the inbox for sms should be. I know others have had similar problems.
Cleartype, I have it enabled and it looks great, but it doesn't seem to appear everywhere. ie the Today screen. I did have a program (I think it might be Pocketblinds) but I found it unstable to the point where I would turn off the pda part, then back on again to find that the custom start menu icon had disappeared. Grrrr. Does anyone know a way to make cleartype effects appear on the today screen? I've tried putting a reg entry in various places of the registry for it but to no avail.
Also, if there is a way to bind together numbers and contact info for incoming SMS messages, presumably the same would apply for outgoing ones. Does anyone know of a program to do with sent items as sms_name by paragon does for inbox entries?
Thanks in advance
Anthony
in the database 'pmailFolders' lookup the desired foldername,
then open that foldername as a database.
these folders have names like 'fldr10019e7', these likely different
on each machine.
This may seem a stupid question, as I say I'm new to the XDA and hope to start writing programs for it soon (I've been a programmer for a while but not in this style)....
how do I open it "as a database"? I've tried going into Databases and selecting it but i cannot drag it to the desktop or open it in file explorer on the phone.
Cheers
Anthony
If you are interested in enabling celartype (any many other enhancements) you should check pocket facelift.

App first name first in contacts Windows Mobile

By default WM shows your contacts last name first. You can set a contact to show first name first by editing the 'File as' field of that contact. (Click on 'more' in the edit contact page if you can't find this option).
In effect, the 'file as' field doesn't change the order of last/first name but allows you to file the contact under any (nick)name you like. But if you fill in the first and then the last name of your contacts, it has the same effect as changing the order of names would.
A program called Contact Changer automatically updates the 'file as' field of all of your existing contacts, as you can read in this thread.
You could probably schedule the program to run periodically, using scheduling software like G-alarm.
Google Sync interferes with name order
Google Sync changes the 'file as' field back to last name, first name. See this thread.

Thanks for the GREAT program!!!
This is awesome. Getting ready to try it. I was getting tired of manually going in and making the changes each time I flashed a new rom. Will post results back in a bit.
Exactly what I needed, simple program, works perfectly!
Great little app
This is what I was looking for. I know Win 6.5 is old but I ordered new HTC HD2, got it 3 days ago and still it has Win 6.5. So this little app saved lots of my time
Thanks Buzink, that's a great little app!!

[Q] Clipboard queue?

I am looking for a clipboard queue. Basically something that I can copy items into in one app and then in another app get those items back out in the order I copied them.
For example I could cooy my name, then copy my street address, then copy my city state zip code. Now I switch apps. When I do the first paste I get my name, second paste and I get my street address, and last paste gets my city state zip.
The above is just an example so don't think it is just for personal information. It should support information that changes a lot.
I have tried many clipboard programs, but they seem to only be clipboard histories.
I even looked at Tasker but it appears to not know when the clipboard has been pasted do it can advance to the next item in the queue.
I can find several of these programs for Windows, just not Android.
I know this is a toughie, but please help.
I guess there isn't any?
The best I have seen is Everywhere Clipboard. It shows a popup on the screen at the same time as your app. You can click on an item in the clipboard history to copy it back to the clipboard.
Is there better?

[Q] Calendar issues

Im loving my Titan, especially the calendar sync with windows live, google etc.
I run a Driving School and use the calendar to set up appointments with my clients, add them as attendees and save. However, when the email is sent to the attendee to accept the details of time and location are sometimes wrong, even if I leave the location blank.
Its led to a few missed appointments. Can anyone test this feature and see if its a common problem.
also, is there a way to change the "Im running late" feature to include a text message, rather than relying on people checking their emails?
Jonny
Not exactly clear what you mean. But calender events are sensitive to timezones. Make sure all pcs and phones involved have the accurate timezone settings.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA
What I mean is, I arrange an appointment with one of my clients and set it up on my phone. I generally don't add a location, as it is usually at their house, unless we have arranged a different place, then i will include that.
I then use the "add someone" button, select the persons email address to send the calendar .ics file for them to accept.
I have had reports from some of my clients who, when they open the file has had different times than i had originally set up.
Like I said, it is related to the time zone settings. Most ppl don't care to set their PC's time zone (default is PST/PDT). And if you're in a different time zone than that, the time will be different for you and your client. Let's say if you setup a meeting at 4pm EST and your client is setup(or rather didn't care to setup) to use PST on their PC. That meeting will show up as 1pm PST on their side. Since they didn't setup the correct time zone but rather adjusted the clock, they will see the meeting is at 1pm instead of 4pm you intended.
The bottom line is unless you can be sure both you and your clients all have setup time zone correctly, using this kind of meeting invites are prone to cause problems.
