Well I found 2 sites one which I missed place with ringtones for XDA's
the one is http://www.pocketringers.com and one I found on here which I need to find the link of again
Any help with any others
Yorch has a killer site with ringtones and more at www.yorch.net.
Thats him thankyou!
So Far I have found
http://www.pocketringers.com
http://www.yorch.net
http://www.wavsource.com
Does anyone know any more
well all wav files would do
all other sampled files on pc's kan be made into wav files
all wav and other sampled files downloaded off the net works as ring tones
if you record your own stuff with the mic in your pc or even your xda
it too can be used as ring tones
oh right I aint seen the microphone part of the XDA yet, and my Parents have now decided its a X-Mas Present so I have to wait till then
if you dont have it yet why dont you look into the xda2 rather then xda1 ?
not sure if it would be much more expensive
but it got some features which are ok that the xda1 dont have
like sdio for addon cards
and cam a bit pop culture imho and the quality of those is not anywhere near a real digital cam but if you could use it as a webcam for a messenger type application it would be cool
and bluetooth sure it's slower then using the usb for sync but if it let you use internet while being on the toilet it's great
Already have the XDA, and got the camera attachment on its way should of been here ages ago but with this dam postal strike
And from what I seen when I used it, its perfect for what I wanted a phone to carry data around with

I've saved some notes on my xda/wallaby in which there are small embedded sound files.
Is there a way, either within the XDA or in windows that I can separate off the sound part of the note so the sound can be used in another windows programme?
I've tried the basic way of cut and paste but as you'd guess - no dice.
Any ideas out there
Thanks all for reading.
Perhaps I've found the ans to my own q
whoops, I've just looked back over my old posts and have seen I asked and got a reply to a similar q before.
I'll try that software to see whether it can 'pull' the embedded sound file from the note -
But If anyone knows this does / doesn't work I'd appreciate a push in the right direction.
Thanks
Bummer! No good, doesn't run. It appears to need W2003 and my xda's using W2000.
Any other ideas people?
Have you tried other software?
Hi,
I had the same question, but since I could'nt save my notes as mp3, I downloaded RESCO Audio Recorder (I use v3.21), and it works great. There are others that offer this possibility, you could look for one that fits your necessities.
You could also play your note while using this audio recorder software, so you get only the sound you want... I don't know if it will really work, but it's an idea.
ref the resco prog ...
Hi there, just logged back in tonight 5:45 pm UK time, thanks for the suggestion.
I'm downloading it to my xda right now so I'' post fback for others later
BTW here's the link I used for future ref
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/audiorecorder/downloads.asp
regards
It Works ! ! !
Hi there, it works
I Installed Resco then started recording as mp3 whilst at the same time I opened the Notes file and pressed play on the embedded sound file.
So in effect the sound went 'out' the speaker embedded and back 'in' the earpiece to become an mp3
And that could then be taken into my PC
No real loss worries as the file is just 'plain vanilla' voice not music
Thanks again
XDA = 1, rest of the PDA world = 0
Yippie
getting mp3s out of an xda
Just to confirm, the resco prog works perfectly in recording output from the loudspeaker.
I then passed the mp3 through audiacity a free open source small-scale studio style mixing programme and then uploaded the finished article.
If anyone is interested, here's the link to the file.

the sound file in question is the one called 'Dreams In The Night'

Great!
I'm glad it worked... And you're right, the sound quality remains good enough, at least for the convertion of notes to mp3...
Now I use this software directly to record my classes in mp3 format... The main problem now remains with the battery, that lasts less than 3 hours (I also use a infrared keyboard to make my notes while the recording)... I´m trying to change the battery for a new one and also getting an external charger, so I don't need to concern about it anymore... Let's see if I can get it to work...
when i try and record audio (mp3s) with my streak the result comes out high pitched. the stock sound recorder quality isnt very good. I have been trying out mp3/wav recorders form the market.
it almost seems to be a sampling issue.....but the recorders bit rates are all set right.....cd quality, etc....
any ideas?..... is there something i need to change....?
also.....i installed cleartune......and to make it work right i had to make it transpose to D and set A=427Hz.....i installed another tuner called "datuner"....it works fine....
very frustrating cause im a band director and really need to record things on the fly.....but not high pitched.....?
Rehearsal Assitant - can't comment on using for high quality recordings, but works for voice for me.
cool....ty ...
tried it.....rehearsal assistant still uses a lower bitrate when recording. .wav recording doest work at all....it looks like it is recording but is not......and the files will close and crash the player...
i need a solution to record at high bitrates.
man.... i have tried i think every recording program on the market..... the only one that would record at 44.1k was "Livo Recorder"..... it will record .wavs that sound ok...but at 5-10 Mb/min.... .wavs are just way too big to use and email....
all the .mp3/other recorders would record but the files came out sounding like they were being played in a slow fast forward...
this is very frustrating..... is it the streak?....is it android 2.2?
i need this to work.... i need to record stuff all the time....and .3gp at 8k is not going to work for concert band recordings....the end result is too muddy sounding.....i dont record to keep...only for review... it is an essential aid when working my band
any ideas?.....and thank you for your help
Recordings are horrible!?!? Would love to find an anwser too
I have had the same issue and I would love to know what can be done. I have tried contacting the developers of various recording apps, but get no response from any???
im sure a lot of other streak cats and maybe some android users in general are having the same problem...
this is a real bummer for me actually.....this could be a serious deal buster for me...i may have to go back to my iphone i bought the streak as an upgrade to my jailbroken iphone 3gs.... iphone sucks but at least it does what it is supposed to do...and yes to make an iphone bearable you really should jailbreak it.....
i also had to root my streak to fix several other issues as well.....lol.... i had to "jail break" my streak....lol...
like the tuner issue im having....being a band director i NEED a tuner...it is a must have....i know i could just use a dedicated pocket tuner, but..... the point is that something is totally not working right in the streak or android....being able to record these days at CD quality should be a no-brainer to developers and/or hardware developers..... i was recording cd quality back in 2001 on my sx-66(the original XDA phone...) pocket pc phone....lol....
anyway,......any ideas?
anyone else having these issues?..... have you found something that works?
Maybe list the recorders you've already tried, so someone doesn't repeat. I've been using pcm recorder for voice recognition (naturallyspeaking), but of course that's only wav. Probably the difficulty lies in the licensing required for creating mp3's.
Would ogg recording do?
I'm using tango right now but the sound quality its terrible. Anybody have a better suggestion ?
does any really even use video calling here?
I tried using Tango and even on wifi it is slow. The sound/video is choppy. I installed Fring but havent tried it as of yet.
I actually like Tango. It's really one of the only apps ive used for this but seems to run fine for me. A bit lagged initially but once connected, works fine.
I wish Skype had support for the Atrix and video calling (

I've been trying a number of different options:
1. Tango. This one works the best. We've had good luck with it - if you can connect to the server. Most of the time we get a good connection, but sometimes we can't connect to the server. I'm not sure if it's because of the speed of our Internet at the time, or an overloaded server on their part. One of the things I really like about it, though, is that you can use it with anyone on apple or android OS who has at least one video camera. If they only have a rear-facing camera, it works. They just can't see you at the same time that you see them. We've used in on the Atrix, iPhone 3GS and iPad 2. Other pluses are that it can be used over WIFI or 3G and it rings on the recipients device whether they are logged in or not. It rings just like a phone call would. Audio seems good to me - once I turned up the volume.
2. Fring - that just keeps crashing on my phone. I haven't gotten very far.
3. Qik - The video that it took and uploaded would not play. Horrible quality. Not sure what the problem was.
4. Oovoo. It will work on a computer. Looks like it has possibilities, but it does not yet totally support the Atrix or the iPhone. I installed it on my Atrix. You can open it, but the call is still not totally working right. They say they are working hard to make it compatible with more phones.
5. Skype - I guess we all know about the audio problem here. That static makes it unusable for a voice call. Why oh why can't we get that fixed and add video? Skype says it's working on it for the Verizon network. Can they do that - just have android video Skype on one network? Skype video works great on our iPad 2. We can prop it up and have long conversations with the relatives.
tango video is ok for me however teh audio is soo choppy i cannot carry a conversation. Soo much for a front facing camera
I use qik, works well for me. Though I only video with the wife on her atrix also, so not sure how it is cross phone types.
Tango was horrid on the audio for me also..
I hear the yahoo messenger plugin for video chat works (even phone to PC) except only on the back camera... front cam doesn't seem to work on alot of the phones with it.
Using Qik for Atrix. Works great for me. Don't really video chat with anyone on another OS so this works great.
I've tried the Qik app, but it didn't list any of my contacts. And that made it a hassle to use. Tango seems simpler. All your contacts are updated. Qik doesn't have this ability apparently. Tango on the other hand was very "choppy" for me too. The lag between video and audio drives me crazy. But as most have said, this only seems to happen when reception is poor. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Qik. Its been hit or miss with Tango. But I'm gonna stick with it. I'm gonna be deleting Qik soon, Too much hassle.

Fring works fine for me, ffc works, sound is fine, just no way to call a pc.

So here's the deal, I love a certain soundtrack on Mushroom Wars.
Someone uploaded a version of it from the PS3 version [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY54xegYEX4 ] but it seems the audio's been compressed by youtube. If possible I want to get the .ogg or whatever native format it's in, un-truncated.
So I've taken the .apk [ uploaded it here https://www.mediafire.com/?7vih6xsb0murslz ] and unzipped it and found ./assets/sound2/ which is about 11MB. I sorted by the highest size, and it shows several soundtracks, but none of them is the right one. The rest are short sound effects.
I know for a fact that the music has played on a multiplayer mode, on my tablet a couple weeks or months back. [I checked thenk, but same as now, couldn't find it].
If anyone can show me where the music file is or upload it, that would be great.

If you can record it with your phone and post that, I can get a high quality version (via ps3) if that helps?

No, it doesn't really help because I never know when the soundtrack will come on [it's somewhat random which track will play, depending on the map, which is also random]. Even then, it would have game sound effects mixed in, and I just want the raw track.
I just cannot figure out where they are hiding that specific track, or why they would try to do it. The others are easily found but I'm still drawing a blank why they [Mushroom wars developers] would do that.

I was going thru the files (thanks for the apk) and noticed that on the music tracks, they're long and have like 10 songs in each track (or something like that). Basically, it's like 1 long file and every minute or so there's a new sound track in the file. Did you listen to all of them?
I swear that on PS3 there's a "CHICKIE" sound effect and in the apk I only found a "Chingie" sounding thing. I'm gonna have to play it on the PS3 and get the sound I heard cuz I want it for a notification tone
EDIT:
Also, as for recording it, if you can get at least a 10 second snippet of the 'track' you want, I'm willing to hunt thru the apk for it. Wouldn't hurt, right?
i have found some soundtracks of mushroom wars on SOUNDCLOUD.
Hey there,
as you probably know, it's forbidden by google to include a function to an app to record the internal sound. That's the reason why all audio/video-recorder-apps (like AZ Screen Recorder) only allow to record the microphone(s).
Is there anyway a solution to record the internal sound, for example with a cable? But only the digital way via USB(-C) and not the analog way with the phone jack which causes side noises! Do I need a special OTG-Cable?
If I connect the original USB-C-Cable to my pc nothing happens really.
In the dev options in the android settings I can de/activate the usb-audiorouting (but I can see no changes)
I also can choose 'audiosource' in the usb-config. If I plugin then to my computer, there is no new 'microphone' in the audio settings. In the device manager the BLA-L29 is listed, but the drivers are marked as corrupt.
Can somebody help me to finally have the power to record the internal sound? Thank you!
Perhaps try a Bluetooth recorder? I came across this after a 5-second web search; I'm sure that with a little more effort you could find many more varieties.

Well, maybe you invest next time 5 seconds more on reading my question(s). Your reply is nothing I've asked for.
And I already searched HOURS for a good solution, but without success so far.

Update: Huawei Mate 10 Pro Screen Record with Audio
Hi
I'm a Streamer and mobile Gamer, Just updated to Official Stable Android 9 on my Mate 10 pro and they actually provided a new screen recorder that can record internal audio but..
Here is the issue i'm facing :
1) When using the screen recording app and i turn the microphone off i'm able to record system sounds on any app and while its recording ,however the speaker sound is turned off so you wont hear anything until you stop the screen record. Also if you enable the mic the screen recorder app will record audio from your mic
I hope this could help Devs to take a close look at this , all we want is that to use a screen recorder which records System audio and mic just like the IPhone to allow us to stream our games to platforms like Youtube, Facebook, Twitch, Omlet Arcade without buying a IPhone .
I understand google bans devs from accessing this API : Internal Audio, but what if Huawei just develop a app like Samsung Game Launcher where only games and Streaming apps like Twitch, Youtube, Facebook Live, Omlet Arcade are allowed to access the Internet Audio Recording Function?
And BTW to all those trolls , we not requesting bloatware its a just a simple screen recorder or a Gaming Suite/Launcher app for our Mobile Gaming Community
Regards
