I wish O2 would let me buy out my contract so I can buy an XDA 2
O2 will let you buy out your old contract. I did.

When I bought my XDA last summer. The sales person at the link, told me that lots of units were being sold cheaply to the O2 staff.
That seems like a sensible way of getting sales, and increased revenue..
I wonder if Orange will do the same with the SPV ...
Anybody heard similar company benefits..

I called the guy a few months ago to check him out. It sounds and looks to me like a single guy working out of his house (In fact, I regularly visit a house one block away from this address; it's in the middle of a residential area; next time I'm in the neighbourhood I'll be sure to visit the pdatechcenter.nl guy!). The guy made a technical impression, and seemed to know his parts. I can't vouch for his honesty but am under the impression he's really in the business of doing upgrades and repairs.
XDA developer bigmac
PDAcenter
He probably works out of his home, but that shouldn't be a problem.
I had my XDA upgraded to 64MB and there isn't a scratch on the cover. They even cleaned my display. Great service and cheaper than the other
URL in this thread.
Grtz,
Raymond
I know for a fact that he works out of his home, because i've been there myself. My touchscreen broke a couple of days ago and on friday he has a ready while you wait service. He repaired my screen within 20 min!!!
I agree that his website is horrible, but I can garantee you he's legit.
But is you dont trust it you can always call him yourself.
as much as id liek to call him im only 17 and international calls from the UK would kill my wallet lol.
ah o2 free sim offer was on again made a killing from that getting 30 simcards selling them for £235 not bad for free and i want to use the money to get my xda running faster ill check out expansys as i know they are a big company thx guys
think about whether you need a RAM upgrade, when you can easily and more cheaply get an SD card. 256 Mb can be bought for 60-80 pounds. You can install all your files on that. You have 32mb to run all your apps.... unless your running a data warehouse it should be sufficient..
If anyone is interested I have a brand new XDA for sale that I won on the Source O2 developers website, It's the 64mb RAM version and is unlocked from any network. Everything is still sealed in the box. I've got the xda up for sale on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2757862457&category=14407&rd=1
There is no reserve so has a low starting price of £185 or a buy it now price of £225. I'm afraid I can only sell it in the UK though. Some guy just tried buying it and then backed out so only genuine buyers please.
Note for forum admin: if this post should not be here please delete. Just though i'd see if any of the XDA guys want a cheap buy.
Cheers
Gaz
Its already sold
Thanks all it's just gone.. i didn;t expect so many offers so quickly. If nayone knows how to delete this post it would be much appreciated.
cheers

Purchased July 2003, mint condition & reboxed with all goodies. Have upgraded to XDA II last week.
I 'm seriously interested ... how much do you want (plz keep it reasonable )
Is the XDA still for sale?
Hi there I note that you have an xda for sale. Is that still thecase and if so how much of a reasonable price would you ask for it?
Secondly, do you or anyone else for that matter, know where I can get my screen repaired on a 2002 64 meg model? Or is it feasible for me to attempt a diy job if i can get the parts?
Many Thanks

128M TMO XDA For Sale
I'm really wanting an XDA II and have an existing XDA (TMO USA PocketPC Phone Edition version). Had it replaced under TMO's $75 replacement plan 4 months ago, pretty much new. Had PocketPcTechs upgrade unit to 128M. Uses their driver (T2TDisk) to access upper 64M.
Got all the original stuff it came with. Bit of a techie so have upgraded unit to ROM 4.01.00, RS 6.24.01 (WM2003). Still waiting for TMO's USA official upgrade.
Appears the going rate is in the GBP140-150 range (~US$250). Been thinking of using eBay but hey ... Buyer pays shipping. Anyone interested? I'll send separate email link to interested parties.

For a second there I thought you were gonna say that your name was Sister Ann from Glastonbury and your father just died of pneumonia after doing missionary work in Malaysia and you need help claiming the inheritance he left you and you will give me $75,000,000,000,000 if I pay the $250 notary fee.
.....looks like I was wrong. Doubt you'll be able to find a deal on here but you never know. You should have said you were from Nigeria and this thread would have been flooded with responses from members who would love to sell you their phone.
