Having a problem switching Phone on - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

I recently bought a secondhand XDA, and experience problems switching the Phone back on after I have switched it off. It doesn't matter how I switch it off, either using the red phone button or the software option (click on the phone signal icon in the taskbar and select "Turn phone off".
Whenever I want to switch it back on, it just won't switch on when it's *not* in the cradle! When it's in the cradle, everything works fine. I can then switch it back on with the red button or using the phone signal icon. Anybody here experienced this behaviour, and more important: found a solution?
I'm on ROM 3.17.03 and Radiostack 4.21.00. Provider is T-Mobile in the Netherlands. Thanks in advance!

MY Wallaby screen keeps turning on... plz help

i don't know why but everytime i toggle the screen or push the power button to turn off the screen it automatically turns back on... does anyone know how to fix this... because it's wasting power....
start/settings "system" tab and iether "backlight" or "power" and mess with the settings. Also, make sure no programs are running in the backround. I use pocketnav burnt into my rom for managing running programs.... otherwise start/settings/system/memmory/running programs.
Hope this helps!
I have the same problem
This appears to be a bug in the WM2003 update. The PPC Phone turns itself on when it finds a new radio signal from a microwave tower. There are several work-arounds. The one that I use is called PowerCount. I use it to shut down my PDA and it locks up the device and when the device wakes up, it turns itself off again in 5 seconds unless you tap two pads on the screen. I found it at http://www.freefiles.dk/modules/myd...orderby=titleD.
It lets phone calls through no problem.
I hope this helps.

[Q] Wifi toggle button greyed out

Hello,
There is a problem with enabling wifi on my Galaxy S3: How can this be reproduced on my device?
For saving battery I switch wifi on and off regulary. But after a few times this toggle button, which is available when swiping your finger from top to bottom of the screen (which is normally light green or dark grey) turns into dark green. When going to wifi settings there is a message "shutting down". So you can not choose "scan" nor "wifi direct" nor enable wifi,...
The only way to work around this, is rebooting the device.
Any suggestion to solve this in depth?
ps: I have tried with power save off (*#0011# methode) but each time after rebooting this setting is back on and wifi works (few times).
Thanks for your advice!
Regards,
Hans
It happens to me
It recently started happening to me too. I think I will blame it on the siyah kernel... what kernel are you on?
I have this problem too, running stock JB ROM rooted.

Wi-fi settings blank & back button not working

Droid DNA with Stock ROM, not rooted or unlocked.
Recently I've been having a problem with wifi settings and regular settings screens. Its not happening all the time, but occasionally I find my wifi disconnected and when I go to connect, the wifi settings screen is black with no options. When this happens the back button doesn't work. The haptic feedback works when I hit back, but the phone is stuck. I can hit home to get to the home screen, but wifi and regular settings screen are a blank, black screen. I can reset the phone and it fixes the problem temporarily, but eventually happens again.
Anyone else having this problem? Or any ideas on what might be causing this?
Thanks,
Flip

B320 & B330, Wi-Fi doesn't reconnect when screen is off

In Marshmallow B320 and B330, if the screen is off, Honor 7 doesn't look for known wifi networks in range to connect to. In Lollipop it does.
Scenario: I come back to my home with Honor 7 in my jacket. In my home I have a WiFi network WPA2/PSK configured and working. Until I switch on the screen, the smartphone doesn't connect. After 2 seconds I bring on the screen (locked or not, with fingerprint or power button), the wifi icon appears and it confirm "XYZ network connected". This happens also if I have the option "Wi-Fi active during suspension" (in Wi-Fi advanced settings).
Once reconnected, if screen goes off there is no problem and Honor remains connected. The issue happens only in reconnection if I exited and entered back the coverage with screen off.
Same Honor 7 with previous Lollipop and/or other smartphones and device have not this behaviour and get connected as soon as you are in range of wi-fi, with or without screen on.
The strange is that I don't find other people with same issue...
Same here! But I have no idea how to fix it.
I think it's an energy saving option. Try this: (my phone isn't english so i I tell you the steps) go to settings, scroll down to something like 'special settings' (It has a grey gear icon), then look for something like 'battery manager' (you will see how much running time you have) and tap the gear icon in the upper right corner. You will see an option for wifi and you can choose from 3 options and go for always on. Hope this help
