I broke the screen on my T-mobile pocket pc a few months ago. Got a new one to replace it. I haven't had the time to post it on e-bay.
Just a little history... I got it off e-bay. So yes it's used. The sync area is broken. It can still charge but the wire has to held or lied on a tilt. So with that said I tired to "fix it my self" and opened it and cracked the screen. The crack is at the top of the screen and runs the whole way across. It has no bleed or any ink coming from the screen. The PPC is fully functionally. My wife plays solitaire and FreeCell. I'm to lazy to fix it. From what I know it's about $50 bucks to fix the sync and $75 to get a new screen (in the US).

Well last night was a good night. Playing pool, using msn and sending a few texts when... the shiny new HD went waltzing out of the palm of my hand and then... WHACK... right onto the edge of a table eek denting and chipping the damn front housing. Not ammused one bit
So my question for you boys and girls is... a front cover for the old Touch HD. Does anyone know where to get one from please?
Tried several chaps in Hong Kong via ebay but no joy.
Guessing the answer to this would come in pretty useful to more than just myself who has suffered this kind of cruel fate

Saw a complete housing @ brando for $ 79.50, so it's far cheaper than ugn53's.
Shipment seems cheap also.
BTW, never bought from brando, so I have no experience with them.
I've bought Screen protectors from Brando in the past. Their website is trustworthy.

This is why i insure my phones... i pay nothing luckly due to my contract but 6 quid for others and it covers accidental damage and loss. I have used in on my old phones (Kaiser and Hermes ETC) i have a 15 quid excess....

I have Orange Care to but... how can you wangle it so i can get one on insurance for something like this? Surely you'd have to tell a porkie somewhere along the lines, wouldn't you?

... so that was a decent idea. If anyone fancies doing what i did should they get into this situation, i just rang orange SIM upgrades, registered my new SIM, waited 10 mins and then rang through to Orange insurance.
Told them i simply copied my contacts over and upon switching SIM's back while i waited for my new one to be activated, the brand new HD, due to being very shiny and a little bit slippery (weell thay are a bit, aren't they!) wen right through my hand and hit my desk leaving a very nasty dent with a rough edge.
£15 quid later, a new one is out to me between 9 and 1pm tomorrow
Happy days are here again! lol
*THINK* Now, should i stick the Orange ROM back in it?! LOL

No need. Told em i did the sim swap as they told me to for insurance purposes and it fell out of my hand due to being shiny and handed on the edge of my desk. That's the truth... almost! Cost me 15 quid but hey, i was in credit anyway so no biggie!!!
me sits in teh corner and cries - little un decided it would be fun to scrape my phone face down across a stone fireplace - no insurance = unhappy zoomee.

i am facing a similar problem mate , my HD slipped out of my hand and bang hit the asphalt in the street , the bottom part of the front cover got a nasty dents.
I went to HTC care center in Dubai and they confirmed i cant replace the frame alone , i have to replace the whole LCD . Check page 88 of the service manual.
The cost of replacing it would be 234.128 USD (860 AED).
i wont pay that for a dent , at least for the time being , the device is fully functional.

I have a Used T-mobile TP2 Screen and Digi. that came from my old TP2 its in good working order with no dead pixels the digi. does have some scratches but nothing crazy.

I don't have the ribbon and cracked the mother board so tossed it.
I did want to mention that the $25 was with shipping in the US with a flat rate box.
but I will come down on price to $18 incl. shipping cause the digi. is a bit marked up and I don't want to charge for it so the $18 is for the screen shipped basically.

Yeah that does suck. I didn't think anyone used these phones still, I thought I was the last person with one. So when I received my HD2 I took the TP2 apart faster than one could blink. I'm sorry about that, I wish you luck on your journey to finding one.

haha, no plenty of people still use one. besides i really wanna use my TP2 again cause im stuck with the g1 now because of that ribbon cable. but its alittle hard to find it since i usually find it for other versions of the TP2 and not the tmo version

Honest to God -
I knocked my friends G tab off my desk, and bought it.
The glass is the only thing that shattered. I've turned it on, the screen works. I can't get past the unlock screen. I've plugged a mouse in, but I still cant get past that dang unlock screen.
I paid full price for it... I'd be more than happy with anything near 75-100 bucks.
I live in Nashville. Have it ready to ship ASAP. paypal is fine. money order is fine...

Well, I am a little worried about your low post count here. Do you post on another Android forum so I can check your reputation?
Man, I totally understand your concerns. And you're legit in asking about it... I don't post on any android forums because I've never had an android device. I found this forum looking for a way to to replace the screen. I called viewsonic, and they offered me a replacement for 175, which, for a 269 dollar tablet didnt make sense to me.
I mean, I can be as transparent as you want me to be. We can skype, you can check out my facebook, we can talk on the phone... I can take pictures, I can make you a video... we can do whatever you wish. Honestly, I'll mail you the tab, and you can send me what you feel is fair. I'm really removed from it. I'm just trying to recoup as much as I can from dropping the tab.
If anyone is selling parts, I'm interested in inquiring about pricing the Internmal mainboard. The one with all the connections (USB, Mini USB, Micro SDCard, Audio Jack, and Power Connector Tip.
The board must be FULLY FUNCTIONAL!
I've got a broken g-tab as of tonight. G/F dropped it and screen shattered Still works fine though, just has a fair amount of spiderwebbing in the middle of the screen. I'm gonna miss this guy

So yesterday I was getting in my car and wearing sweat panths. My GNote slid out of my panths and I closed the door on the screen, the timing could not have been more perfect. Not that I would ever want to but I bet money that I couldn't reproduce such a perfectly timed event. The worst part about this was the Note had 7 Hours left on eBay , bidding ended at 585.00. I couldn't stop the auction bc it was less the 12hrs befor the end. I refunded and emailed the buyer and informed him of the situation, I hope he agrees to cancel the auction or else I'll be charged with the selling fee.
Condition of Note:
Shattered screen basically on the entire left side. The screen doesn't turn on but the captivate buttons work at the bottom. Small crack on frame of the screen.
So my questions is this: what is my best option in regards to getting rid of the GNote?
Should I sell it as is on eBay?
Contact Samsung and see if they can repair the device?
Find a local vendor?
I was going to buy one galaxy note just like yours. I contacted the Samsung repair people they told the will charger 70 just to take a look at the phone and then they will let you know how much it will cost me.The final amount they gave me to repair was 200 $. Good luck
I would compare the 2. Price for a broken note on ebay, and price for a fixed one (Minus the cost of repair). You can look at completed auctions to see the costs. Im sure someone would pay over 100 bux for the broken one.
my post here. tried opening it but alcohol throughout the day didnt help my hands be as delicate as they should be. worked on back end only, not screen.
so, if anyone in the UK wants the battery, the screen (display was fine prior, removed the default screen protector and some of the remaining glue needs to be removed (started, stopped when phone went funky) but think it's still fine.
also have a 5000mah charging case for it if anyone wants that too.
no charge for the bits or postage. the case is fine but can't be 100% about the rest.
PM what you want/address etc and i'll hopefully send monday morning as in post office anyway. failing that it'll be 2 weeks as i'm on holiday.
oh yea, 1 person can have the lot or just 1 part, i don't care. i can't be bothered throwing on ebay and it shouldn't go to waste.
UK only, 1st come, 1st serve etc. (i don't know anyone else that had this phone so no locals to give to).
