I am not a developer, but have a few questions regarding installing the lastest WM2003. I have a i-mate. I would like to install the WM2003 instead.
Here is what I have now:
ROM: 1.03.00USA
ROM Date: 09/24/03
Radio Version: 1.05.12
Protocol Version: 133.12
ExrROM Version: 1.03.29
Is there is any special procedure to do this, i have no idea how to do this i'm beginer so You can email me directly at [email protected]

your icon indicate that you have a 'Himalaya' pda

I have upgraded it successfully...
just finished ...it works:

I am using i-mate pocket pc window 2003. I want to upgrade Window 2003se. How can i do this?. Anyone help me with intruction to install, if u have picture this is very cool.

I have upgraded my Xda II from WM2003 to WM2003SE and everything is running smoothly. My device information are ROM version: 2.06.00WWE, ROM date: 06/14/04, Radio version: 1.18.00, Protocol version: 1337.38, ExtROM version: 1.12.925 WWE. Is it advisable to upgrade again to WM2005? where can I download it from? Thanks in advance.

Of course, I don't know what any of that means but would appreciate one of the Gurus on this site to suggest a suitable upgrade for me. Something tried, tested and suitable for technophobes like me (ie simple download, copy to device and run .exe?).
I am living in Singapore so a suitable Asian version please.
Also, does anyone have any problem with the ringtones on the XDA II (Himalaya)... I am forever missing calls because it just doesn't seem loud enough. My old mobile/hand phone had the neighbours complaining of noise pollution.
Is there a solution for this?

Try the SE CHS version, located on the FTP site. You should.
I had the same exact device information

and tried the CHS translated and it made the screen all skippy and it was impossible to setup, etc. So what I did was I just used the genuine wm2003se in the wiki and created my own extended rom, much easier ;D

I lik my device vry much, onlything, functionally its lagging far behind. Say even I cant add Google lattitude or any of .cab file bcs its not supporting so.
I'm totally new to this all & never done before but if guided I can do it.
