Skype Calling & Lockscreen

During a normal call, the lockscreen does not activate... but when you're doing a Skype call, it does. I know I can use apps like "No Lock" to completely disable the lockscreen, but does anyone know if there's a way to at least stop activating during a Skype call?
For the life of me I can't remember where I saw this, but I believe there is a setting that allows you to keep it awake when apps are open.

[Q] speech / voice recognition stopped working

Voice recognition stopped working all of a sudden yesterday. Have been using it with no problem since December.
Essentially, when using voice to text message, the screen pops up telling me to say something... I speak and the "sound bars" in the lower right show that my voice is being recognized, but then the speech window just resets and tells me to speak again. Eventually, it just closes.
When using bing search via voice search I speak and it recognizes it and then says "We're sorry we cant access the network right now".
Any idea why this is happening all of a sudden? Has anybody else ran into this issue on their windows phone/radar?

Is it possible to create an android app which can intercept phone calls?

Cincinnati Bell has a service called Reveal which when activated intercepts incoming calls. It asks the caller to press 8 to continue. From what I have learned this stops most/all spam calls.
I've looked and not found anything like this for Android. I can use Google Voice but it's not as good.
Is it possible to create an Android app which intercepts incoming calls and asks the caller to press something to continue, and then read what is pressed (if anything) and act accordingly.
Someone asked this question on StackOverflow: Search for intercepting-incoming-calls-on-android
(I'm too new to post a link)
But I think the answer was not complete.

Make Voice Command Calls Without Data

Just moved from windows phone 8.1 to Android 10 (Samsung A21 phone). We only have talk and text (no data plan). With the windows phone, I can use voice command to make calls without the need to enable data. When I say "call Bob", the windows phone will automatically dial Bob's number 800-800-0000.
In Android 10, I can launch Google and say "call 800-800-0000 and Google will dial that number (no need to connect to the internet). However, with the command "call Bob" or "text Bob", Google will ask for access to the internet. Google assistant is fully functional because I can set the timer or the alarm. Is there a fix to this problem? Is there another app that I can use that will access CONTACTS and dial out without the need to connect to the internet?
The Google app has permission to access phone, SMS, contacts, call logs, and microphone. I'm guessing that Google wants to know who I'm calling by requiring access to the internet. As of now, I have to sign up for a Google account and connect to the internet if I want to call a person in the contacts list by saying his/her name. A work around solution is to memorize the phone number.
TIA,
F
