Hi,
I upgraded my device to the 1.72 beta version:
ROM: 1.72.00WWE
ROM DATE: 03/05/04
Radio version: 1.12.00
Protocol version: 1337.21
ExtROM version: 1.72.104
This worked without any problem. After that I wanted to install the MS Entertainment pack (Freecell, Minesweep etc), but i got the message:
"Microsoft Hearts/Minesweep/etc does not support the connected device type. Application manager will make th application available for installation when the supported device is connected."
I was connected via my cradle using Active Sync all the time. I tried disconnecting and connecting again, but that doesn't help.
Does anybody have a clue what to do? Attached are the install file (serial key 4653540603) and the error message.
Replies are much appreciated. Replies that contain a solution for this even more!

The BMP file of the message refuses to be attched. The text i wrote in my earlier post, is an eact copy of what it says, so I don't think it's a problem.

It looks like a really old version for windows CE, not for modern pocket pc devices,
You might have some luck if you try installing it to a casio ce device

Is BT FTP for the smartphone a taboo argument??
I can't seem to find a working cab that shows the FTP settings page (in system settings) and that lets others connect to your phone, yet I saw it on a HTC Vox, so it must exists for the smartphone!!
Can you find it? (no, the ones floating in the forum won't work... already tested them all!)
Also, BT on the startrek (erofich's latest rom) is subject to long slowdowns before operations begin ... i.e. copy a file... stay "connecting" on the PC side for 15 secs.... then transfer a file in half a second... that's not normal!

I would recommend you build your own ROM and transfer the stuff you want from other ROMs, such as the Diamond, Shadow.
I have done this my self and find I am much better off.
No need to wait for someone to build what you want.

Posting a CAB isn't that difficult, if it exists... and it must exist... any pointers are also appreciate (i.e. the files you want are in the rom "A" for the phone "B", go and extract them)...
Building my own ROM, i think it's a task too difficult for me .....

The files you want are in the Diamond.
I haven’t used them myself so I don’t know if they work.

Good news, I made the bluetooth FTP server work!
But still I can't make the client work correctly! Rename, delete are ok... but when I try to copy files to or from the remote device, nothing happens! This problem doesn't exist on the PPC version...
Keep fighting the good fight thenext1. Im on the edge of my seat in anticipation of a working bt FTP client that will work on my 3125. I have been wanting to use my old Strtrek as a bluetooth ftp server for my work computer and a blu million other devices I have with ftp functionality. No luck to date however. If you need someone to test your rom let me know because unfortunately without this functionality a perfectly good device will be collecting dust. I have read in some other forums that the difficulty with this upgrade stems from the fact that the Bluetooth stack on the Qtek does not allow for this functionality. I have also seen posts related to replacing the existing bt stack with one that will work(ie easy to brick phone). Thanks for the work that you have done to date.

I didn't make a rom for testing that, any WM5.0 or WM6.x rom will do. No Qtek stack is holding anyone from implementing that function, in fact the stack is Microsoft's extensible one.
The FTP server works already as I said.. the FTP client doesn't work and I don't know why, and in the meanwhile I've switched to a motorola Q9h which has the broadcom stack.

How did you pass the security question at ioicn login?
@tobbbie - did you try using bugmenot for the user/password? Probably best not to post them publicly here, in case they disable the account. Maybe sniper304 could PM them to you?
Well, I found the ID + PW at the bugmenot site, but this is not sufficient to login at ioicn. It asks a secret question and expects an answer before you can proceed - this is not logged on the site.

Did you get the WM6.5 ROM downloaded? If so - can you upload to another place - e.g. mediafire.com? They supply a free service and do neither delete the files early nor do they annoy with slow downloads.

That is a great find When I am out of office I will download some radio ROMs. It seems though as if you need an ioicn account again... The one I have does not support NITZ - do you know if any of the ones listed there does? NITZ is that the network sets your device time and timezone (Nitz = Network Information Time Zone). This depends on the network service of course - so if it works on one device and not the other with the same SIM - it is the device that does not support it. In Germany the O2 offer that service in their network (while D1 does not).

I have a WM 6 device, and although I have plenty of space for it, MyPhone takes up way too much space on the device.

When I click on the files, especially that concerning the marketplace, with the intention of downloading, the program management (GetRight) identifies the file as "attachment.php, bringing it down to about 47 kb. So I can not download the correct file. I do not know if I explained right, is that my English is very poor. I live in Brazil.

In fact, the programs are linked by direct download on the xda's ftp you know, so shall you disable Getright, then try again to test and comfirm

Recite is discontinued, i gave the link man just "clik"
It's seems Live Mesh (i discover this the last year) is the old release of MyPhone, software for data synchronization, if i good understand.
Can anyone help me with a link, I want to download TomTom 7, preferably the latest version. I need this apps for my HTC HD2 Dutch version.
I already did download one version in the past , but this version does use Bluetooth only. I need a version that allowes the Phone speaker to work

I already could figure out that I could find this on the Google pages.
The point is that I can Not be sure that I have the correct program (.Cab), I already did destroy 1 HD2 installation of Windows Mobile 6.5.
Furthermore, I could Not find any download in which the specs are telling me if it is a Bleutooth version or Not.
I was hoping for a direct link which leads me to the correct program, this instead of taking any risks again.

I can't understand how you can brick a phone installing TomTom. As nothing is putted in registry or in windows folder...
This means that after each of my hardreset, I can launch tomtom without reinstalling it.
By the way, not all version of tomtom are supporting the bluetooth. As far as I know :
version 7.917.9186 has two choices, with or without bluetooth handling.
version 7.918.9193 supports bluetooth
so, try a search with those versions.
And sorry, I will not post direct links, because TomTom leads several checks on several forums to track down such links.

Thanks a lot, Searching on the release number will help me to determine that I have the correct version.
The Version with Bleutooth did overwrite the "BTtrayCE" in the Windows directory, this did cause Bleutooth to stop working.
Thats why I do Not want to take the risks of getting any other surprises from Tom Tom

The HTC HD2 gives a reply "this program is Not compatible with your device" (in my case in Dutch). When replying with an "OK" than it stops installing

I have now a working TT 7.9 installation, but installing the Maps is apparantly different than the older versions.
I do Not know which map is compatible with the ttn7.917.9186_qvga Version. (I could not find a WVGA version). At present TT replies at start up with the message that it can Not find the maps. As I did before, I did hack the "Meta" file, so I would expect it to work !

I did install ttn7.917.9186_qvga_blue, it seems to work fine now on the HD2.
But the next step installing the Maps is an other story.
The problem starts with : which map is compatable ?? (Western and central Europe)
And How to activate the Maps ?

I have version 7.918.9193 vga black with map western and central europe 2GB 860.3128 and it works just fine.
To activate the map it is another issue that I believe I cannot discuss here, if you know what I mean.
