Hi All,
I upgrade my xda2 to the latest rom last night and the sms notification not working. Check the setting and when I play the sound its working. I enable it to play sound upon receiving sms but test and test it by sending myself sms but i no luck.
Has anybody got this problem after upgrading their XDA2.
Strange - mine works since the update...

Mine is just the standard sound i have not changed it and it still works for me , just like it did befor the update

i am using an i-mate ROM1.66WWE
i upgraded it to ROM1.72WWE from the Offical site...
it's all great except SMS status reports! i don't recieve them!
what is the problem?
Did you used to get them before? because some operators don't send delivery reports. some do when you put something in the subject or something like that. I remember some posts about that in the past.
do you request them? maybe the registry key from the other thread has disappeared with the upgrade.
yes i used to recieve them always when i request SMS delivery notification..
i didn't use any cab file to change the registery to Always Request SMS delivery notification.. i prefer to do it manually...
all i did was upgrading from 1.66WWE to 1.72WWE...
is there any way to recieve them again?
I receive them on 1.72 Proximus. So I have no idea

i noticed something today !
when the phone is sending an SMS i put it near my pc speakers u know that annoying sound (tt tt ttt tttttt )
after the sms is sent and delivered to my bro mobile....i hear that sound from the speakers again but nothing is shown on my device....
i remebered something about SMS notifications..the report was delivered to me as a regular sms contains (delivery successed or failed)....
after a while my operator (syriatel) changed the report to a flash sms which appears suddenly on the screen...telling the status...
(on Nokia Symbain Device like 6600/7610 first a regular sms and then flash which can be seen at Messaging/Reports)
u understand what i mean?
on both my i-mate was recieving the status reports...
maybe the New ROM has something with flash SMS????
anybody knows something about it?

don't know anything about flash sms
i just tried the Flash SMS it's no problem at all the device recieve it!
the problem is the reports !!
if the problem is from the update...
is the Rom or the Radio Rom who is responsible for the SMS control?

Few days before i faced a problem when interacting with the sms when ever i browse the threads of sms or delete sms or send sms or receive sms apart from notification sound i used to hear a sound like gsm buss please see the following video i made

This problem arises only in custom roms and not in stock rom. Finally i fixed it by deactivating the Feedback Audible selection to off. Is it only for me or for some else too.

it is not a big problem but it is annoying.I like the fact that you can put your phone on mute with the notification bar.The problem is when i put it on mute or vibration it just turns of the ringing sound.When i get an SMS or when i am on gtalk chat the "whistle" still is on.My Android version is 4.1.2. stock rom international version.

Me too!!!! This just started yesterday for me. I don't know what I did. I can't turn it back to what it was. (same version as above too)

I havne't this problem. I use ARHD ROM, but in settings you can select silent ringtone.
Hi everyone!
Since I'm not writing so many sms I only recently came to notice, that my phone doesn't notice my if there are new sms (no blinking light and so message in the message stack nor in the status bar). I even don't receive some sms.
As for the phone signaling that there are new sms, I can only think that this may be caused by the standard sms app from the FXP215...
But I can not understand at all why some messages just don't get through to me (even after weeks and months)...
Does anyone have experience with these problems and maybe know of a solution?
I'm currently using FXP215 on my Xperia U (ST25i) and don't want to return to stock because the stock rom sucks and drains battery as hell...

Both have worked and then all of a sudden the sound stops working and only comes back after a reboot...
I am on Sprint LS998
Seems this is not just an SMS issue....volume on all my apps is screwed....very very low....IS this a hardware issue?
Volme works fine after a reboot...then thats it...gone......almost non exhistent
