.Net Framwork Apps Will Not Run on XDA II - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

I searched the forums but I couldn't find this problem. One guy who developed his own app had it too, but there was no followup. On an XDA II, no .net framework applications (from two different vendors) will run. You click on the icon and nothing happens, no error message, no start, nothing. However, these apps do run on an iPaq 5555 I tested.
This occurred on the original rom I had. I recently upgraded to v1.66 of the rom, installed these .net apps first on a clean unit, but .net apps will still not run. I even installed the SP2 version of .net (not sure if it was already in the v1.66 rom), but still nothing. Any ideas?

I noticed the same while trying to install PocketCleaner... As of yet I haven't find an answer on how to bypass this issue
However, upon installing I DO get an error message :S

Navizon "Native Exception Error" Any Input Appreciated

As topic states Im having trouble with a program called Navizon. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times, including removing all registry entried for navizon. each time it installs fine, however when I go to start the program I get this:
Navizon.exe - Native Exception
A Native Exception Occurred.
ExceptionCode: 0x80000002
ExceptionAddress: 0x00e28328
OK to terminate
CANCEL to debug
hitting cancel and ok both boot me back to programs list
I have a post on navizons tech support forum, and there have been two people with advantages who have successfully installed and ran the program...as far as I can tell the only difference is our roms. Of course im running the greatest ever, AP Dual Black 3.0 rom. Do you guys have any advice as to what could be causing my error? If you want to check out my post on their tech support forum, heres the link.

just an update, did a hard reset, and installed Navizon works great, had to be a scummy program conflicting

Voice Command 1.6 and PK 4.0

All,
Normally I install VC as the first application on a new build / hard reset to avoid any issues. At present, I just finished installing a ton of other applications and then realized that forgot to install VC first and now it is refusing to activate after an error free installation. e.g. it isn't working...
Any thoughts on how to fix VC or force it to work?
I have toggled enable/disable, but no joy... (all that I am gettting is a busy pin wheel for a few seconds and then nothing at all, even after several resets...)
Any thoughts?

Have you tried the Fix originally designed for AP2 but also working on AP 3 ?
Maybe this will help here as well....
Sorry but I can't include any attachments....search for: PK 1[1].0 Touch Fixes(fixed).cab
Dieter
fyi:
I installed PK 4.0 today and immediatelly afterwards VC 1.6. Works fine without the patch mentioned above!

What does it help ? Mine is running without this cab. Will VC 1.6 run better ?
Dieter
Thanks guys
In my past experience, if VC isn't installed right after a fresh load it is unhappy with being installed at a later time. I think that the fix is only for folks like me that forgot to place that application higher up on the installation list during this time around...
Thanks again,
Bob

[Q] "The file XXX is not signed with a trusted certificate" PB

Good Morning everybody,
Yesterday i installed the darkstone android Froyo on my HTC HD2, it worked pretty fine.
I reboot the phone to finish the installation and everything was normal. I download apps on the market ... all's good.
But i realize taht i've got no ringstone, i plug the phone on the computer and put the "media file" in the SD card.
I reboot the mobile and try to launch CLRCAD and HARET but i got the followinf message "The file XXX cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found"
I tried :
to format my SD,
to put a new install of android,
to reboot my phone,
to read different thread about this problem,
to test different program like Security configuration manager ...
I think that the problem doesn't come from Android build (it worked 2 times before) but win mobile ?
Here's my conf :
2.08 HDSPL
radio 2.12.50.02_2
darkstone froyo 2.1
rom 1.66 483 0 (76641) FRE (Bouygues telecom)
I don't understand what i did it wrong, it pretty worked and after 2 reboots i can't launch android.
Please can someone help me ?
Thanks in advance for your reply
Mike
Same issue
Hi,
I'm having this same issue. I hope someone can help. It doesn't seem to be an issue with the SD card. Did somehow the registry got corrupted? Please help.
Registry restore did not fix issue

To test my theory that it was a registry issue, I restored the registry that I backed up before installing Android. It DID NOT fix the issue.
What does that mean? It seems that everything that comes with the WM ROM works fine. It only effects the applications that were installed and not OEM.

I've now deleted my Android folder and the .folder and will see if that helps. I don't believe it will because I've removed the SD card and the programs I installed on the ROM still did not work. I'm hoping I don't need to do a hard reset. That would be a pain.
That only thing I did before having this issue was that I installed several games from the Android market place; final fantasy 6, angry birds, and a couple of others.
Had the exact same problem running FroyoStone Sense - V3.1. Couldn't even install SDKcerts. Tried everything & the only solution was a hard reset.

[Q] Problem installing net Framework 3.5

Hi All. I got myself into a bit of a jam with netCF3.5.
I've done a search here, but according to the wisdom already here, the install should be straightforward
Here's the problem:
I was experiencing a few probs with a few apps that needed it. They had been working fine, but all of a suddenly they started complaining that they couldn't find netCF3.5.
So, I downlaoded the cab and tried to reinstall. But, just as the instal was starting, my HD2 said: 'the required program is installed in ROM' (or something like that!)...and then the instal aborted.
The apps still won't run. I tried UN-installing CF3.5 from the device using 'uninstall apps' and managed to remove it. But when I then tried to re-install the cab again - I got the same message about it's already installed in ROM. Good job I had a full backup of everything! At least I'm back to where I was before I uninstalled it.
So, what have I done since:
1. Tried and retried a few times to reinstal, but it's made no difference
2. Checked the registry to see if it's pointing to the latest version of net cf3.5. It is
3. Pulled my hair out - that didn't take long )
I guess I'm looking for a way to 'force' install netCF3.5 and stop the message about it already being installed in ROM.
Any help greatly appreciated.
(I'm normally pretty good with these sorts of problems, but this one has left me clueless)
Cheers

[Q] Rom update failing after trying multiple solutions.

I've been working at this for about 2 hours now. All I want is to update my phone to Android 2.
The situation is as follows:
I have an original HTC Hero, build 1.76.405.6 etc. I'm trying to install the ROM update to 2.73.405.5. I have to install it with HTCSync. Since I'm on Windows 7, the original HTCSync that came with the phone has issues with the drivers. I've tried several ways of installing those drivers manually, and eventually resorted to using the new all-purpose HTCSync from the HTC website. The program itself works, but, now, when I'm trying to sync, that action itself does not work. If I try to install the update, the connection turns off. If I try to sync the files, it fails to access the PIM. And I already made Outlook my default program on PC, which, according to sources, should have helped the issue.
Oh, and it seems I can't download apps through the marketplace at this time anymore either. I'm not sure if this is related or not, but better safe than sorry, right?
I can't find anything else on this in the archives, so I'm asking you all for help.
Oh, and my knowledge of these kinds of phones is barely above digibetic, so, please, I beg of you, no solutions that have me crack open the entire software shell, or something like that?
Thanks in forward, Sonto
