phone delay
hi guys
anyone got any ideas on how to fix this.
regards kev
Have you got pocket bluetooth tools installed? I've noticed this since I installed the latest version - think it's something to do with it turning on bluetooth and stuff when you receive the phone call...
The delay in answering call is normally caused by phone related apps. Do you have any of these running at the same time?
1. IA Caller ID
2. Picture2Caller
3. RingtoneX
4. Pocket Zen Phone
5. Phone Profile
6. M|Phone
i used to have this problem before i updated to w2003se (sins rom) now it answers instantly... i had pocketbluetooth tools that was about it.

Hi gurus!
I wish to know if there is a reg edit to change something to turn on automatly on incoming call.
I know some soft to do this but don't owrk well with WM5 & WM6.
some of theme BTTools, phoneAlarm-v1.6...
So if there some soft that work ok....
Thanks!!!
PD: Sorry for my english
Hi there,
I had the same problem, at the moment I use CommMgrPro on WM6, but this software is able to do a lot more than just to switch on Bluetooth. The problem so far is when the phone is ringing, it takes a while (2 rings) Bluetooth is switched on, another two rings the headset is connected to take over the call. So I'm not totally satisfied with the solution.
Here you can find the tool:

I'll test
Thanks dude!!!!

I do not get your problem. I use Jabra BL headset (two different models) and do not need any additional software to be able to answer the call with BL headset. I can hear beep in my Jabra and can push the button to receive a call. Just simply have paired my Jabra with my X7500.
Hi all, Im noobz
probably what davicito13 ask was how to make the BT automatically switched on ONLY when theres an incoming call and automatically switched off when finshed.
(triying 2save batery i guess)
CSDEVCTRL
CSDEVCTRL has this option. Works perfectly on HTC Touch.

Hi,
I did Mortscript code this "BT on with call" functionality for use with PocketMax.net PhoneAlarm. Penguin has reported that the next version already has that functionality when he releases it.
The script can easily operate independently from PhoneAlarm.
I did post the script over at PocketMax forums, and if anybody ever wants that app, let me know and I will repost it here as well.
If I leave my BT on, even with a extended battery, my phone dies twice as fast.
With PhoneAlarm I could have it turn the BT on or off with power. The real issue for my phone is that PhoneAlarm is the only BT toggler that works.
Anyhow, if you want it let me know.
thanks, Keith
MortScript
Hey Keith,
please post this MortScript-code.

Hi,
Here is a script i wrote for PA that automatically turns on the bluetooth on an incoming call.
This can be added to a PA profiles' run application option.
Of course my phone has a window that says "Phone - Incoming...", other phones may have a different window title. If you ignore the phone call that window hides in the background so shutting the bluetooth off automatically is tricky. I did set the script so it turns off bluetooth if you look at "Call History". There may be a better way to know the call has ended. I am not sure the "Phone - Incoming" window closes after you exit the call.
To kill the script, you can also witch to a different profile than "Car=On" or the profile that was active when you ran the script.
From here that leaves the door open to an auto-answer with speakerphone option. Very easy.
If you do add the command line option for BT toggle, I can just turn bt on without switching profiles to Car.
I also updated the Status script to add the BT on Call message.

Keep in mind this is an antique. Probly like 8 months old. Ok maybe like 4 months old. seems like a long time in mortscript years.
First, let me say that searching XDA-DEV with google is not an easy task.
Anyhow, I'm having this issue of phone calls being dropped after 2 to 5 minutes of talking. Signal is strong, bluetooth or no bluetooth. Uninstalled apps that recently got installed and the problem still persist. Is there a system log of phone calls, etc that can help me troubleshoot this issue ?
I have X7501 running original stuff.
Thanks

I would say it was almost certainly the fault of your network, a simple trick to test would be to go into the phone properties then into band and lock the band onto the old 2G signal instead of the fancy new 3G type and see what happens
PS do you really have an FM radio on your phone, does it use the Headphones as an aerial or does it just work !! is there any chance you can upload a screen shot of the radio app !
thanks in advance !
Hi! Sometimes, when I get a call, first my trackball starts to flash some times and VERY LATE (after about three flashes), my HTC Hero starts to ring.
I once had a program, which read out loud the name of the caller. I removed it and after that time, the ring came very fast for a while but now the problem starts again and I do not have this program installed. What can I do to solve this problem?
Just that you know, I have root and can see every file in my mobile, if there is a special logfile or something... But before I analyze my problem in the files with root, I ask you if there maybe is a very easy solution. How for example can I find out very easily, what my mobile does, while I recive a call? And if you want to know, I have about 200 Apps installed.
Thank you for your help!!
Martin
I have this issue but its mostly when i'm using a memory heavy app or loads of things running in the background. i now use task killer to kill all of the unnecessary programs that are running in the background & for the most part it works tip top. anybody else finding this too?
Yep, I have this - it's incredibly annoying. It's a phone after all and it seems to ignore that fact. I don't have many apps installed and don't tend to have much running in the background either.
Dave
When I first had this problem I got approximately 5 seconds of ringtone to answer (due to the lag in ringtone starting). Although it in no way fixes the problem, you can aid the situation by extending the delay before your answerphone kicks in by phoning your network.
same for me here, unfortunately this is also when not having ANY application running in background (just after phone startup).. takes at least lets say 4-5 secs until da mp3 is played, thats really sucking
Try not using mp3 as ringtone. Use the original HTC ones. The ringtone delay will decrease considerably
I am sorry but that's not a proper solution, has anyone reported that to HTC ?

I do use the originals - it doesn't help
what bout converting my mp3 filez to wav format?
OF COURSE i mean just converting da ringtone mp3 ;-)
I am using the MoDaCo leaked ROM (HTC Generic 2.73.405.5) and the response to incoming calls is much quicker, with the ringing starting shortly after the first flash of the trackball so I guess that you will get an improvement once HTC release the update and you install it.

I'm also using the Modaco 2.2 ROM and I've just tried calling my phone from a landline. I heard 4 rings in the landline receiver before my phone did anything with the trackball or the ringtone. However, less than a second after the track ball started flashing my MP3 ringtone started playing. 4 rings is quite a long time, at least 5-6 seconds, surely that can't be normal, can it?
That's not good no.
How about an experiment ... reboot your phone, give it a minute after booting to finish its initialisation stuff then try ringing again. Better or the same?
<apologies for double post>
Apparently this has been resolved on the forthcoming Donut release.
Cyanogen reports this as now working correctly in the new builds he is making on the G1 and Magic using some of the newer Donut code.
I might have found a bug in FreeX10 Beta 3. Have used this ROM a couple of days now and I'm very happy with it. However, today I discovered a quite nasty bug. All of a sudden I couldn't make a normal telephone call. The phone seemed to work normally, but was completely silent. Like you have a bluetooth headset connected and forget to use this. Nothing happened at all, and no call was made.
I could terminate the call and make a new one with the same (negative) result. I had to reboot the phone to solve the problem. By then everything was Ok again.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
( I had to formulate this bug report as a question in this thread since I'm not allowed to post in the development thread)
no, i'm using it for a few days now, and made several phonecalls. and all was very well. never had a problem with it
Hey Everyone
I am facing a problem in my xperia x10. When I get a call while in a current call, my phone automatically puts the first call on hold, and answers the second call without giving me the option.
What is the problem and how could i fix it?
Thanks
Similar thing happens to me when I switched to a MIUI rom, i guess a different dial-er could fix the problem but I don't know how to do that xD
even i am facing the same problem on my new htc sensation,,,pls someone help
