Hi,
We have a provider in the Netherlands without his own network. The Hero is always roaming.
On settings -> Sync -> Exchange ActiveSync (I have a dutch phone, so I hope the translate is OK). I'am getting on planning (Rooster in dutch). "Disabled when roaming" (Uitgeschakeld tijdens roaming in Dutch).
Please help me with this problem, because I want to use Active Sync trough air.
Many thanks!
I think you need a Windows mobile forum.

Why? It's on the Hero? And the same users on the same server with Windows Mobile don't have the problem...
Edit:
"Allow synchronization when roaming" is enabled in the policy, but still not working.. any help??? Other Exchange clients for android?
I have the exact problem, the telco you are referring to must be Telfort which is on the "NL KPN NL Telfort" network and therefore always 'roaming'.
Another (better) solution to this problem would be to have a tweak or application that configures Android to see the network as non-roaming. I believe the only thing that the software actually does is compare text strings. Something like:
If $provider = "NL Telfort" then
{non roaming}
else
{roaming}
If this is the case, a simple OR statement could solve all your misery... However, I cannot provide you with this insight as I am not really into hardcore coding. But surely some of the developers here might know a solution...
50$ on Paypal for the first person, that can solve this very big problem!
I don't know whether I should ask it here or shouldn't.....i was very happy doing VOIP on my Vibrant.....now suddenly my company has blocked VOIP also none of the messenger's are getting log in...
Only my phone's Gtalk is working...but no VOIp. is there a VOIP application which can bypass this blocking. I tried several application from Market...but none seems working.
My sip provider is NYMGO (www.nymgo.com)
Please if any one can help??
Bump.....85 views no reply...come on guys....help me out...
I don't understand the problem.
Are you saying T-Mobile is blocking VoIP over data?
Are you saying your employer is blocking VoIP on their WiFi network?
My employer is blocking VoIP on their WiFi network.
Make friends with one of the network admins and ask them to unblock the ports NYMGO uses. Seriously, they obviously don't want you using unauthorized apps or services on their network. Many companies, including mine, have strict policies in that lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination for any unauthorized use of the company's network or the circumvention of any security policies in place.
First step would be to talk to the network admin and find out what changed on the network and if they could re-open those ports used by your voip. If they tell you they can't, you're SOL. It's the company's network, not yours, they pay for it and therefore they decide how it's used, not you. If you had to manage a large corporate network you would understand.
I would be grateful if someone can tell me Internet connections settings for SGSII. I think it is in Settings\Wireless and Network\Mobile Networks\ APNs.
So you need to know the APN settings of your service provider? How can one tell if you haven't mentioned your country and the name of your service provider. You can find the settings in their website too.
Regards.
This site may have what you need...

Hello fellows...
I'm just looking for an app to send files (something like p2p) between TWO android devices using a restricted GPRS service, I mean, no internet access....
I mean, send file to one IP to another one....
Just for send files, text, chat...or something like that....
any idea?
thanks in advance
BR,
chatfan
No ideas? no help please?
thanks
Well if your phones have no internet connection then they need to connect to each other somehow. Wifi can be used if you have a network you can connect to, otherwise bluetooth might help.
No, no one phone have internet connection, just a GPRS service for MMS sending and for open only ONE PAGE or WEBSITE to check them (mms).
Phone have a very distant from each to another one, but connects in the same GRPS network, same carrier / provider and same range of IPs...do you understand?
any idea? any help?
thanks

it's not really possible. my best guess would be to hijack MMS and send a file that way, but then if the file were over the MMS size limit, you'd end up having to send multiple MMSs, racking up your texting charges. it would be very slow, and unless you've got an unlimited texting plan, potentially very expensive.
by the way, p2p (in the bittorrent/emule sense) doesn't play into this, it would be completely impossible.
No new ideas about all this? I need this ASAP, any App?
thanks
