Anyone knows what this is from the T-Mobile 1.72.104 Extended ROM please?
TIA.
From another Forum in german:

I read, thsi exe set a timer to 1000ms, but what timer? Wherefor ?
The Forgotten
Forgotten totally about this post. Thanks for resurrecting it Bro.
Anyway I did some searching on it myself and found that it contains commands to flash the ROM to modify the behaviour of BlueTooth in terms of data flow.
BTW it is irreversible.

How do I get rid of caller ID ? - My extended ROM is locked, I have seen a post about a registry hack, but can not find it on any of the sites I watch.
Can anyone please help ?
Regards
Michael
I did remove the caller ID app directly from the ROM before upgrding my i-mate. It's pretty easy to do. There's a lot of help on the forums to modify the extended rom and a great article on the inside of the rom and how to modify it.
Try looking here, if you want more help, post again

Well, I am not to eager starting modifying ROM images.
I do remember an easy registry hack that worked, but lost the message and need to re-do it after a hard-reset (testing Sprite Backup).
Anyway, I think I found it:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->init->Launch149 (\Windows\IA_Caller_ID.exe)

Hi guys,
Maybe it is not the right place for this question, but I got the feeling that only few people are reading other places of the Prophet forum.
So here is my problem and question:
Instead of installing all my apps one by one after a new rom or a hard reset, I am thinking of including the apps into the extended rom folder. My question is "what may be the size of the extended rom folder?"
thx, all answers will be appreciated

Read the Wm6 Update guide. It can't be bigger than the base extrom image provided in the update package.
Edit : Gullum was faster
question
Hi Gullum and HMA4
Thanks for your quick answer. May I ask you another question, since you are maybe the most experienced guys on this forum. When you have typed texts for some time, some of you own words are added somewhere and these words are also suggested while typing. However, when you update your rom or simply hard reset your device, these added words are gone from the word suggestion list. When I restore a backup the list is back. My question is where can I find my personal added words? Maybe you can save them and restore them to use with a new rom.
thx again guys
Hey,
I just bought a Touch Pro for my friend, wanted to put an english Software on it. Does anyone know where I can download the original htc rom software? I would like to put the english software on it!

Hi JoseftheBest.
could you dump the Original ROM please, if it is the HTC one?
I feel like i didn´t have GPS problems with the original, but now always have with cooked roms
Cheers
Michael
Is there no complete file to download for the rom update?
@ JoseftheBest
You are right, there is one, and I should know it. I am one one these guys telling the others to read the wiki first and don´t do it for myself, sorry for that post here.
greetings
Michael
can't find it... looking for about 2 hours for the complete file... but can't find it
and using the procedure like the link you were posting me before i get everytime the same error:
I get this error after opening the RaphealHardSPL:
To run this application, you first must install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework:
v.2.0.50727
Contact your application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET Framework.

http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Raphael_WM6.1_ROMs
yeah exactly i found that one before i was downloading it, and i get a rar file.
I downloaded the file from OS ONLY. Is that correct?
After extracting it, i have three raw files. What I should do with them?
Any Idea? Still searching...

i wanted to make a dump of the dutch rom but is already on the site
so i thiought a dump wassnt nesecary any more
Hi, i got a dutch Iolite and right now i am trying to find out how to swap to an english ROM. But somehow it is quite difficult to find kind of a step-by-step explanation in this board.
I guess before trying any kind of flashing action i should first dump the ROM I have installed, to go back in any case.
So i downloaded those ITSutils but procread just crashes with a 'RAPI.dll was not found" error. Well, i will check for that later in the board, but in general... What should i do to dump the ROM?
I am supposed to plug it to a pc via usb? If so, using which drivers? Do i need to open that windows mobile cd i got with the phone?
Because if i would not need it, i would keep it closed until I decided wether to keep the phone (in english) or to sell it again when it has to stay in dutch.
Thanks for any help, because I really did not find what i was looking for within the wiki or that board so far. thanks
I find this topic very confusung too! :-/
For maybe being of help for other people:
- the RAPI.dll not found error is gone, when Active Sync 4.5 is installed at the host-computer, then there are also no further drivers needed
- smartphone has to be attached via usb in the activesync mode
The thing is this:
Nobody explains that right!!!!!!
Sorry maybe i'm a fool!!!!
I think is more easy wait a original ROM upgrade from HTC......
Eduardo
The real interresting question here must be; how to backup / dump my existing ROM to .nbh?
That way it wouldent be so scary to try the different custom roms here, and allso it would be very easy to share our ROM's.
Dump it to RAW, then use "Visual EviusKitchen" - ExtraButtons - Raw2NBH
Dumping programm: HERE
Kitchen U find in forum too, must use sefu
Greetings

You can download a tool to convert Cab files into packages as your kitchen will need those apps to be installed as packages

Well i take it rather than cooking your own ROM you are editing a ROM using neo kit or similar and the files needed for editing are not available for you to edit The files needed are in the xip folder
But there is a possilbility that some other tools or method could be usfull to you Now you say you searched right well I put ROM date into a search and pulled up loads of threads so com on dude i know it's easier picking my brains
Try this thread this tool might work not sure
