Hi icarusbop.
Look's like you're having an issue with your browser / settings.
The URL is right and I can't see any problems displaying it.

Hm, Chuck, I think it's probably not as it should be as well... I see the top third of the page to the buttons like "German" and so on... but that's about it then...
well, the site is definitely down for the moment. would be a shame if that's the beginning of the end (just a german proverb) our pocket bluetooth tools :-(
greetings from the black forrest

Why can't I navigate through it? I can see is but I can't make it do anything.
Use your navigation button so that you get a gray box. move it around and push again to zoom in.
Ive been looking for this, thank you
does this work on mda running wm5?
http://labs.live.com/deepfish/
You can download it direct from MS...
They stopped taking people a while ago
im surprised there is not more buzz about this!
But, I am happy with piscal for my WM6. Nothing matches the swiping support.
I will definitely be trying out (and possibly replacing piscal with) deepfish, when its out of beta of course.
Hello ,
I did installed the IGO navigation software and I can't open the application .
I got the icon on today , the icon in programs , but no chance to start it. Does not react to any enter , click or anything?
Anybody does have the same problem?

Yes, Many, many people had this issue and asked the same question. Have you read ANY of the AP4 threads?
It seems based on what I read, that if you uncheck/remove the HTC home screen form the today screen you may get it to work. Not sure as I don't use IGO, if that doesn't work check the various AP4 threads or search the threads
Good Luck!
Agreed I found that disabling the HTC Home plugin allowed iGO8 to run; others have found it necessary to disable Touchflo as well.
I assume you have a legitimate version? The cracked versions can be much more troublesome

I did remove it. Does not work. I did tried to launch the IGO 8 from the today , menu , own folder , programs. Always , no result
with the keybord pressing enter...same.
Is not a legitimate copy, but installed on a Asus 636 works smoothly but not on a real PDA/UMPC

It's not warez mister Legally Advisor. I assume that you have no demo on your computers / pda . You paid for everything that you are using , and did not remove the commercials from the free items like YM etc.
In this real world , sometimes you have to get first something , see if is working , then when the trial is done , you decide to buy or not to buy. I do not want to put 100 Pounds in something before I see it working.
But I am sure that you are some ASDA customer and you got the PDA from your employer so this problems are not common to you. Please keep away from the posts that are not for you. This is not a food thought forum. Thanks

Here's some 'food thought' for you.
Your exact words were 'Is not a legitimate copy'. Therefore you are using warez. The demo version is legitimate.
apd was quite correct to point out that we will not provide support for warez. We also won't help those with bad attitude, so you are SOL.
Bye.

I couldnt get australian maps till recently and following above instructions with "evaluation"version of Igo8 am running it on ap4 without htc home.
I like it better than Igo2006se as reattaching the keyboard doesnt stuff up the controls.
Also I can change the orientation of the screeen and Igo remains in landscape whereas Igo2006 would again stuff up.

Funny that you're getting so angry if your software is legal...."is not a legitimate copy" were your words.
If warez are condoned on this site, it will eventually have problems. and then we all lose out. Go reflect on that and try not to be quite so sanctimonious next time.

Really .... OMG ?! And who will come to inspect my PDA around the world ?! I think that you have a problem called frustration , cause you can't find cheap software. Try with doctor Phil ....
An intersting scenario I found when on holiday in Slovenia this week- in a quiet moment, I installed the Manila Dialler (I'd never tried it before!); I then forgot I'd done it.
I then needed SatNav in a hurry due to some roadwords and lack of road signs- could I get iGO8 to start? No Soft reset, tried disabling all Today Items, disabling VuFlo- still nothing. Gave up.
Got back to hotel and decided to look in ' Remove Programs' then remembered the Manila Dialler. Removed it, and iGO worked again
So, iGO8 in AP4 doesn't like Manila, or HTC Home, but for me is OK with VuFlo active.
Hi,
O have my Athena for just a couple of weeks now and I am using MiCHy R6.1 ROM. I like it so far and everything works, but one thing annoys me:
With 196dpi (default), the phone skin is OK. But everything else is so big on my screen. I come from the Universal and I just want to make more profit out of the huge screen of the Athena.
At 96dpi, or 128dpi (which I like more), however, the phone skin is not working correctly. I tried checking and unchecking the "Disable Phone Skin" option in RealVGA, but the truth is, that none seems to work.
I am using the device always in landscape mode. What happens is that dialing a number, it seems to be displayed above the screen...
The only workarounds I have found is to either search the contact in Contacts or switching to 196dpi, which obviously is not a reasonable solution.
I have searched the forum and did not find any usable clue, apart from a tool for WM5 to fix the phone skin, but it did not work.
Any ideas or did I overlook the relevant thread?
Thanks,
vma
Hi!
I think, all your problems can be fixed with this wonderful program.
-REMOVED WAREZ VERSION-- (final warning)
It works well in all dpi modes.
WBR, Draco.
The link is dead.
Please repost or advise what the software is.
thx
Hi
The software mentioned above is "Phone Extension" A phone software replacement as well as a minimal Com manager (enough for most of us).
It is themable, and there's many screenshots in the screenshot section.
The official web page for this product :
http://www.iconsoft.com/
I've been using this software and it is a nice app. It fits perfectly with Rea VGA. And more importantly, the price is really reasonable.
Enjoy
Thank you for pointing out this application!

Saw this awesome app on the android, is there anything like it on windows mobile that works on the HD2?, tried astronavigator 2.02, but it gets stuck trying to connect to the GPS "location"
Bump?....
Bump attempt 2
would like to know also
You mean the application that uses gps and compass for showing the sky objects that you are looking to, right? The so called "augmented reality" one? I would really love to see something like that on my HD2, but unfortunately I have not heard of anything like that for WM yet.
this would be great
Using a simple google search I found this:
http://vitotechnology.com/astronavigator.html
Please do try and search first.
edit: Mmm.. just gave it a test run. The application stalls when you try to use your location. Other then that it does work.
I was using Astronavigator on my Omnia but, as said by snipey, it doesn't work anymore for location. and no update is forecast by Vito.
Is there another software for astronomic view?
Pretty sur there is a cab file fix for this on here somewhere
There is another software similar to Google Sky, Stella Theatre Pocket. Even though the site is in Japanese, the software is in English, and works perfectly on the HD2. It will even set your current position via GPS.
Top man Greg, top man

Sweet! Thanks dude
How do you get the licence? I can't get past the payment screen.
Figured it out... DUH
Check this out
Leo's Void is a great freeware planetarium - a bit old, but still looks impressive and operates (mostly) well on the HD2.
It's at http://www.leobueno.net/
The problem with astronavigator comes with the resolution, you need wgafix for the location work.
reg workaround for position freeze
if you know your latitute and altitude, then you can simply edit your registry...
navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VITO\AstroNavigator" and change the values to your position. they should be "0"
you can check, if your at the right spot, if you switch "night_mode" from "0" to "1" or vice versa if you have it currently enabled.
when you start astro navigator then, you should see the changes regarding night mode, and if you take a closer look, then you should see, that the grid in the map looks different than before
Does it automatically rotate like the Google Sky Map one does? Do any of them?

Same here. It is very good.
Hey guys,
I was playing with a friends touch pro2 a few days ago and when I opened Opera 10 I saw the weirdest thing. There was a much slicker UI then there is in the normal version. It even showed the time let me put it simple, It was the most BEAUTIFUL browser ive ever seen! The only odd thing was when I clicked on the addressbar the onscreen keyboard didnt pop up, so u had to use the hardware keyboard. So then I deciced to check which version it was and compared it to the one on my hd2. Strange enough it had the same version/build number:s. So for days I searched the web/xda to find info on this different Ui, but all resulted in nothing! Then suddently this morning I realised... It might be the smartphone/non-touch version! So I installed that one and tadaa.. There my baby was in its fullest glory, fully touchable and all! If only someone could get the onscreen keyboard working, This would me be the most perfect slick lookin browser available!
I made a few pictures check them out below!
cab file please?
