I heard alot about people running WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack in their Qtek or XDA II to enable bluetooth profiles not found in the original set..my question is how do you guys get this stack??

Guys, 1st off upgrading to 1.60 o2 rom provides wm2003 sp2 and this contains a much impoved MS BT Stack, I no longer need the hacked widcomm stack you speak of however, it is this:

It works fine until your machine goes to standby, when you turn the screen on again it throws up an error, you have to disable and re-enable it to get it to initilize properly again, so worked with it until MS got their act together, and now i don't need it - however its a bloody good reserve, and I wont be deleting it from my pc :lol:
BTW if your going to upgrade your rom to 1.60 do the unlock too before hand like I did

Is the 1.60 O2 Rom different than the 1.60 T-Mobile_NL Rom? My OS is upgraded to 1.60 and I still have the issues with the MS BT stack. :x Is the wm2003 sp2 update in the O2 extended Rom? If so, which cab is it?

No, but my phone was previously service provider locked, to the o2 network, as upgrading rom looses all data and so does the xda2unlock tool this forum offers, I decided to unlock and perform upgrade at same juncture, so i only had to backup and loose everything once so to speak.
SP lock may not even apply to Canadian handsets, or you may not care... However in the U.K its useful to have the ability for xda2 to accept sim cards from the other networks, like T-mobile for example

yes, i am runing the aku 3.2 rom in my old blueangel, but... so far we only have aku 2.6 for the Hermes

Where have you been? I'm already running AKU 4.5 on my TyTn.
Oh no.. sorry that's ActiveSync. Hahaha.
We haven't hacked the TyTn yet, so as soon as someone finds a way of cooking roms we can create AKU 3.2 roms. I also have a XDA IIs and run AKU 3.2 on it and it's pretty nice.

Ok so I went ahead and asked the Customer Service at HTC UK about the update for TyTn and this is the reply I got. Interestingly they pointed me to this forum, and that too, to an update for the JASJAR...so what does it mean can I use the same ROM for the TyTn??? And if someone wants to ask them when do they expect the AKU upgrade for the Tytn to be ready. 'Cus from the looks of their website they don't seem too keen to support their customers in a major way anytime soon.

Don't know why did they point me towards a universal rom...guess their way of saying that's what available in the upgrade but you can't have it.

1) Find a tall building with roof access
2) Hold device out over the edge of the roof
3) Let go
You should get the same reslts
Or before you let go threaten it to pretend to be a jasjam or you'll let go, if that works let everyone else know

According to the threads here regarding the beta versions of this ROM, ppl were able to app unlock those ROMs using this procedure. I'm assuming/hoping that procedure still works on this official released ROM version. Planning to flash and use the above app unlock this weekend...

Well, I wasn't able to get it to work with what is out there on the wiki. To change the reg keys I had to use BreakSoft's reg editor that runs on the pc. For some reason, that works. Now I'm unlocked. Also, to build applications in Visual Studio and get them to run I had to use the WM SDK secutiryoff config file AND manually install the latest .Net Compact Framework.

Flashed this new ROM, very good but customised for XCingular USA.
It has got Internet Sharing instead of USB Modem options.
It also has ClearVue Suite for PDF, Presentation, WorkSheet and Document.
A2DP works fine.

I have flashed it already. There is no Czech as main language but of course you can set Czech as Regional setting so you can have names of days of the week in Czech etc.
I can see no changes from the previous Cingular ROM. I really like this Cingular ROM more than from HTC (EUR). This one has the latest AKU (but no .NET CF 2 - weird ??), Internet Explorer now has Home Page, better support of IFRAME, lots of small enhancements in Messaging application (you can save the attachement and choose storage or storage card, better account wizard)... But mainly - everything works perfectly.

Thanks for the info. And how about the free space thingy? After flashing this ROM, how much free space will be available? With my Qtek ROM I have around 12-14MB free after flashing/hard reset..

You are right, there is about 8 MB free memory after flashing. But as I have mentioned in other thread (Customizing Cingular ROM), you can delete the Cingular stuff and you get about 4 MB extra free.
The only thing I dont like on this ROM is that the ringer isnt so loud as on the EUR ROM. Fortunately the alarm sound (I use Gentimer) is loud enough to wake me up.
Can you check and see if that new Cingular ROM still misses the 'delivery verification' option for text messages?

Uploading to RapidShare. Funny, at first the upload bar looks fine. Then suddenly, now 100% but it is still uploading because the upload time is still slowly decreasing.

I remove the constraint that the application will only run on selected O2 devices
Devices tested:
HTC Athena

Tested to work on Tobias RealVGA in any DPIs. Application is VGA aware.
What's not supported?
Will run on WM6 devices only
Hidden Menu:
Once installed, if you press the Action Button, a Nokia like O2 Navigation Menu will appear.

If you have WM5 then it won't install. Only works for WM6.

It's been tested on two Athenas (with Dopod & HTC ROMs) & one Hermes (with Schaps' ROM) and works flawlessly.
When installed on Treo750 with WM5, it won't install and asked for O2 Connect.

When I initially installed this,it had a 24 hour digital clock showing. How can I change it to a 12 hour am/pm clock?

Hi, as i am not a rom cooker i used the o2smsplus - oem files and copied it to my kaiser as instructed in txt file. it doesnt recieve the vcard, though it can send one. i have had this problem with previouse versions too. is there any solution for this, i really love o2sms plus. and want it atleast read incoming vcards.

Try Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items -> O2 Wireless -> Options -> "12 Hours Format"
