SPV M1000 France > French to English language change - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Hello All.
After switching from P800 to Treo 600 to SPV M1000 (yes, I'm an IT fashion victim), I assumed changing the OS language is a question of pressing some buttons. Wrong, as I now found out while browsing this forum. What I'm still not sure about, though, is what exactly I need to do to switch from French to English. So please, can anyone confirm if the following steps are correct to get the latest Orange version in English:
1. Download the http://static.orange.dk/spv/RUU166150WWE_Orange_DK.exe file.
2. Use the patch and follow the instructions of freelockuk seen at http://static.orange.dk/spv/RUU166150WWE_Orange_DK.exe to avoid country code conflicts.
Is that it? Or do I need to go through http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/HimalayaRomFlashing in order to work around the country code issue?
Or do I need http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/XDAtools for this procedure?
And then I'd need to update the radio stack separately. Correct?
And finally, I think someone asked for the French Orange ROM version. I'd be happy to offer this as a download I someone could explain how to copy/transfer the ROM from the device to my computer.
Thanks, much for any tips and hints.

Hi Xelar. That's me that requested the Orange French extended rom. I'm preparing an SD card for a customer that wants french on his M1000. If you're interested, I can give you the counterpart. A full backup of my SPV M1000 english rom (Orange Switzerland only sells M1000 in english). It's the swiss version, but by customizing the extended rom with the Orange French cab, it should just be fine.

Have no problems sharing the ROM (Orange France), however, you would need to walk me through the process. I have an FTP server if that'd be necessary.
I've been trying to upgrade to an English version the last two hours or so. No luck. Came as far as to the point where I needed to use the xda2nbftool.exe but using DOS commands is not my cup of tea.
Ergo, would be happy to use the Orange Swiss (English) ROM as long as my device continues to work and understands English. I assume communicating with a French ActiveSync version shouldn't be a problem, right? Once installed, would I need to get all further updates from Orange CH?

To extract the extended rom, you just have to download the this file. Install it on the M1000. Il will create 4 shortcuts in the startup menu. Run unhide and unlock and reset the M1000. You will then see a new folder in the root named \Extended_rom. You can copy its content, zip it and put it on your FTP. That would be great.
To prepare the rom, you'll have to use the DOS. Put the file xda2nbftool in the same folder where the rom file are (the nbf). Then run these commands:
xda2nbftool -x NK.nbf nk.nba 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nbf ms_.nba 0x20040305
xda2nbftool -x radio_.nbf radio_.nba 0x20040306
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Orange -sl FRA -v ms_.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Orange -sl FRA -v Radio_.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Orange -sl FRA -v nk.nba
(put original nbf files in safe place before if you want)
xda2nbftool -x NK.nba nk.nbf 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nba ms_.nbf 0x20040305
xda2nbftool -x radio_.nba radio_.nbf 0x20040306
In the second § (containing PH10, Orange and FRA), please verify in your DeviceData.txt file that the parameters are the right ones and change them if necessary.
If you don't want to use the swiss rom, you can also try the i-Mate 1.72. It's exactly the same process. And thanks to xda-developers, you should be able in the future to install any rom on your M1000, as long as you follow the steps to prepare the nbf files.
And ActiveSync french works fine with english roms. I'm using AS in french at home and english at work. No problem.

OK, I think copying my existing ROM should have worked. You can find the Orange_F_ROM.zip file at
FTP: 64.21.152.215
Password: xda
Login: xda
I'll try upgrading my ROM now. One last thing (at least for tonight). By "run the command" regarding the xda2nbftool.exe, what exactly do you mean? As I'm not familiar with DOS commands at all, could you elaborate a bit further? Thanks.

Thanks. Seems to be fine. I've uploaded to your server an SD card backup. But you'll probably have to change its header (first 412 bytes) with the header of a backup made on your M1000. Otherwise it will fail.
To install, copy the file on an SD card using WinHex (don't copy the file with Windows). Change first 412 bytes of the card. Then inserting the card on you PocketPC, it should ask to format it. Finally, go to bootloader, press camera and power button when asked. This backup does not contain extended rom. I'll upload you the extended rom in a couple of minutes.
If you prefer using more classical way, the option is to use the dangaard 1.66.02FRA installer (available on this forum). It's maybe easier than playing with raw data on the SD card. You can also customize more easily the extended rom and take the files from your rom, the swiss one and the dangaard one.

I've actually tried to upgrade via the i-Mate 1.72 installer. Started fine, passed the country code check, but then froze in bootloader mode (grey screen, Serial or USB - depending on if connected to the PC or not, v.1. 06). Doesn't look good, but I've found some possible fixes in this forum and hope one of them will work.

OK, worked. Had to simply re-run the upgrade process (as recommended in one of the threads. Now it's in English, and that's lovely.

Fine. Glad to hear that you installed an english rom successfully. I also have to do it on mine, but don't have time yet to reinstall all the apps. So I continue with 1.66 for some days.

Didn't the Orange France ROM include PDF and PPT readers? I'm really not sure anymore, but if it did, is that something I could re-install on my i-mate 1.72 version? And if so, could you provide those files? Thanks, much.

It's clearvue that provide these features. The installer is available in the zip I uploaded to your server.

Ah, yes, totally forgot about your upload. Sorry, thanks.

And another one: I've installed part of the CH Extended ROM, and, consequently, it changed my connection settings. How do I uninstall only some of the Orange CH components (i.e. Orange Backup). And, once done, can I install the Orange F components instead, or would this cause a language conflict between the English 1.72 ROM? Again, thanks, much.

Changement de langue du SPV M1000
Bonjour,

In order to change the language of your SPV you'll need to change the entire operating system. This results in loosing some of the Orange-branded features. If that's no problem for you (it wasn't for me), you can try to do what I did. Please be warned, however, that this worked for my SPV M1000 (Orange France) and I can't guarantee if it'll work for you the same way. Here we go:
1
If you want to backup your Extended ROM (where your regional/Orange settings are defined), you'll need to download this file http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=40412#40412 in order to unlock the Extended ROM folder, which currently is invisible. Copy it to your M1000 and run it (click on it). Il will create 4 shortcuts in the Start Up menu. Run (click on) 'unhide' and 'unlock' and reset the M1000. You will now see a new folder in the root named \Extended_ROM. Copy the entire folder to your PC as a backup.
OK, so your Extended ROM is backed up, now let's proceed to changing the ROM of your M1000.
2
Download http://www.clubimate.com/Support/RUU172126WWE_imate.exe
This is the i-mate ROM version, You'd also find other ROM (operating software) versions in this forum but from what I know the one above is one of the latest upgrades and works fine with my SPV.
Normally, the ROM only installs if your device has the corresponding country code. I doubt that it'll work, but just give it a try: Make sure your PDA is in its cradle, connected and powered. Then double click the file and follow the steps. If the country code error shows up, you'll have to go to step 3.
3
Download
http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/xda/xda2nbftool.exe
You need this tool to change the .NBF files as described in step 5.
4
Run the upgrade (RUU172126WWE_imate.exe) again, wait for it to unpack, but this time don't click on any other (i.e. 'next') buttons. Just leave the install window as is for now. The program unpacked some file to your PC. Find the directory where it is unpacked, probably in "\Documents and Settings\yourname\Local Settings\Temp", and there should be a subdirectory, containing these files
HimaClearJumpCode.exe
HimaGetDeviceData.exe
HimaUpgradeUt.exe
ms_.nbf
NK.nbf
Radio_.nbf
5
To prepare the ROM, the xda2nbftool you downloaded in step 3 must be run via a DOS command prompt. Are you familiar with this? If no, let me know. If so, put the xda2nbftool file in the same folder where the unpacked files of step 4 are (the NBF files). Then run these DOS commands:
xda2nbftool -x NK.nbf nk.nba 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nbf ms_.nba 0x20040305
xda2nbftool -x radio_.nbf radio_.nba 0x20040306
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Orange -sl FRA -v ms_.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Orange -sl FRA -v Radio_.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Orange -sl FRA -v nk.nba
xda2nbftool -x NK.nba nk.nbf 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nba ms_.nbf 0x20040305
xda2nbftool -x radio_.nba radio_.nbf 0x20040306
6
Continue with the upgrade process your started and paused in step 4 and just follow the installer instructions. As described in my thread, the first time I ran the upgrade my M1000 froze in Bootloader mode. I then removed the battery for about 30 minutes (don't know though if that had anything to do with it) and went through the entire process again. The second time it worked flawlessly.

Changement de langue du SPV M1000
Thank you for your fast reply.
I have some questions to ask you:
1)
What are the Orange-branded features that I would loose?
2)
I am going to install the i-mate rom to my devise, but what about the Extended Rom.
Is it going to be installed automatically with i-mate rom or should I install it separately or should I leave my orange extended rom?
I will try to do it this weekend which me luck.
Thanks in advance for you help.

What is the difference between the ROM and the extended ROM?
Thanks a lot.

1) As far as I remember you would loose the Orange over-the-air backup and update utility and the Internet Explorer settings (i.e. start page). And from a design point of view, the boot image and Orange theme. This all didn't bother me at all, but nevertheless, I've re-installed some of it copying some of the backup files of the Extended ROM.
2) It will install both ROM and Extended ROM automatically.
Also make sure to right down all your connection settings. I'm not sure if there's another way, but I had to reset all connection settings (MMS, SMS, Email).
I do wish you good luck!

Do you want to upgrade from T-Mobile 1.60 to Dangaard 1.60.21???
This is what you have to do step by step:
1) download ruu16021wwe_dangaard.zip from the ftp specified in the post here in the forum
2) Unpack the zip file, then click with the right button on the extracted file (ruu16021wwe_dangaard.exe, make sure
you've winzip installed) and select extract to. Choose a folder where you'd like to put all the upgrade files
3) download xda2nbftool.exe from this page:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/xda/xdaii-update-format.html and put the file in the
created folder
4) Open the MS-DOS prompt, go to the folder where all files are unpacked and digit the following
instructions:
xda2nbftool -d NK.nbf nk.nba 921211 (enter)
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so TMobile -sl WWE -v ms_.nbf (enter)
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so TMobile -sl WWE -v Radio_.nbf (enter)
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so TMobile -sl WWE -v nk.nba (enter)
xda2nbftool -e nk.nba NK.nbf 921211 (enter)

This procedure could be adapted to any rom changes. The important thing is setting the right password for the HimaUpgradeUt.exe file. Pass is HTC for 0500 version and 921211 for 0600
version.
Many thanks to XDA developer Itsme for the support!!!
Thanks mate! I'll give it a try when I get home from my work.
Yesterday I unfortunately updated to 1.60 T-Mobile, So today I've started from T-Mobile 1.60 rom, then I’ve made all explained at the beginning of this post, ok?
But surely you can start from rom 1.52 and upgrade directly to 1.60, but you’ve to change T-Mobile with Qtek from the MS-DOS instructions, ok?
Hello:
What are the benefits of the upgrade? Is it better radio stack (GPRS and BT)? Is it the ROM itself?
Thanks for your input?
Fernando
So does this look ok?

Just thought the new CE image version looks a bit odd, but I guess thats what happended after the commands on the file, just wanna be sure before I hit the upgrade button. So after I have installed this T mobile upgrade the one from Qtek should work.. right...
Again thanks!

cannot access to the page you linked !
I'm sorry for my silly question. I got confused.
This method is for T-Mobile 1.60 to Qtek_Dangaard 1.60.21. However I can't find where ruu16021wwe_dangaard.exe is applied. I can see only the TMobile being extracted and updated. Does it mean we have to rea-apply the Dangaard update after this procedure? :?

Stop!!!!
It's wrong!!
From which Rom do you start (which is the rom you've installed?)
I got the T-mobile installed, and want the Qtek one...
You should see:
To:

Extended image version: 1.60.21
Radio version: 1.06.01
Have you follow my instructions???
Sorry
There's a mistake in the rom link I've posted
The right rom image is the follow:
ruu16021wwe_dangaard.exe
Download it from the ftp indicated in previous posts
But you say you do the changes to the RUU16006WWE_T-mobile_NL.zip Sure you don't mean the Qtek one, since this is what I will install?
You'll find the rom here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=4857
That's what I thought... Good thing I didn't install the modded T-mobile I made 8)

Now is there somebody kind enough to cook a custom extended ROM (taking the best from O2, TMobile and Qtek)? i couldn't do it myself 'coz I do'nt have a Linux box..
Works flawlessly ... after having been a T-Mobile machine, my O2 XDA II now is a Qtek one ... hehehe
Unfortunately this did not eliminate the write protection on my Extended Rom.

I just finished to upgrade to 1.66 imate rom.
1.66 rom isn't WM2003 SE and cleartype font look uglier....
Somebody can confirm that???
Now the extended rom can't be modified with ERedit2003.
Sombody figured out how to make your own extended rom?

Im now trying to delete the cab files i don't use, and rename some cab files that i do use to that name and put them in the extended rom...
And guess what it works for now. .

mdkia - no problem
ilvanni - confirming that it's not Second Edition, and yes - cleartype does look uglier.
Also concerned about battery life.
HTH
This is a very unpolished ROM in comparison to the O2 ROM - Bluetooth Serial Port Profile for GPS is not working for me either with the native ROM or with Pocket Bluetooth tools. Battery life seems terrible, and Bluetooth headset is nowhere near as smooth (although it is improved).
I find it very hard to recommend updating to this ROM.

NE1 sucessfully downgrade imate sold with ROM 1.66 to 1.52?

I recently purchased an i-mate PPC with CDL's buggy ROM version 1.66 and would like to downgrade to 1.52 which I have downloaded from their site. The only problem is that shortly after it gets to the "Stage 1, erasing existing ROM", it aborts with Error CE 112, "perform soft reset and try again". The only option I have been able to do after that is to reload 1.66.
I figured this out and thought I would post my solution for others.
The 1.66 upgrade file from CDL uses a different version of HimaUpgradeUt.exe than the 1.52 version. So I had to unencrypt the files using the version level from the 1.52 release and then re-encrypt with 1.66 version level and then load the older(1.52) files with the newer HimaUpgradeUt.exe.
hi;
how did you decrypt and recrypt the files, did you use the xda2nbftool soft ware ??. Also, why didn't you think of upgrading to tmob 1.72 instead of downgrading to 1.52??
Yes, I used xda2nbftool. Pretty much followed the instructions from http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/HimalayaRomFlashing.
I didn't go to 1.72 because I was concerned about warranty issues. I figured if I was only downgrading to CDL's own release, which is a solution on their site, I had a better chance of staying within warranty.
artiemon, if I can give you an FTP login/pass, would you be willing to upload a zip file with your modified .nbfs and the hima*.exe's so I can try to downgrade my phone. I've tried your instructions a few times but keep getting a verticle white line down the right of my screen. I'd very much appreciate it.
Jon.
Jon,
I deleted the nbf files when I was done, but here is specifically what I did to create them.
Download both ruu152113wwe_cdl-sku1.exe and ruu166131wwe_cdl_sku1.exe from clubimate.com under the device suport link. Run ruu152113wwe_cdl-sku1.exe and wait for it to unpack but don't click on any buttons. While the dialog box is still up, find the directory where it is unpacked in "\Documents and Settings\yourname\Local Settings\Temp". Mine was in a directory that started with pft.
The subdirectory should contain these files:
HimaClearJumpCode.exe
HimaGetDeviceData.exe
HimaUpgradeUt.exe
ms_.nbf
NK.nbf
Radio_.nbf
Copy them to a new subdirectory on you machine. From that directory, copy HimaGetDeviceData.exe to your PPC and execute from there. This will create '\Windows\DeviceData.txt' on your PPC. Copy this to your PC to determine the current Operator on your PPC. Mine was still CDL.
Get a copy of xda2nbftool at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/xda2nbftool and copy it into the new subdirectory with your extracted files. The 1.52 ROM version was encrypted at the 0.9.1.0 version of HimaUpgradeUt.exe, so decrypt the 3 files as follows from a command line in your new subdirectory:
xda2nbftool -x NK.nbf nk.nba 0x89124137
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nbf ms_.nba 0x25863614
xda2nbftool -x radio_.nbf radio_.nba 0x12345678
Since you are not changing Operators, you should not need to run the following, but I did anyway.
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so CDL -sl WWE -v ms_.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so CDL -sl WWE -v Radio_.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so CDL -sl WWE -v nk.nba
Now run ruu166131wwe_cdl_sku1.exe and wait for it to unpack but don't click on any buttons. Again, find the new temporary folder under "\Documents and Settings\yourname\Local Settings\Temp". The only file you need out of here is HimaUpgradeUt.exe, so copy it to your working subdirectory replacing the one from 1.52 ROM. The 1.66 ROM version was encrypted at the 1.0.0.0 version of HimaUpgradeUt.exe, so encrypt the 3 files as follows from a command line in your new subdirectory:
xda2nbftool -x NK.nba nk.nbf 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nba ms_.nbf 0x20040305
xda2nbftool -x radio_.nba radio_.nbf 0x20040306
Then all I did was run HimaUpgradeUt.exe from the command line and after about 75 minutes I had an i-mate at version 1.52 ROM.
Good luck,
artiemon
Well, I followed your instructions and still have a blasted white line running down the right side of my screen. I had another older version of 1.52 and it had the same problem.
I'm really getting annoyed!
Jon,
Are you able to load 1.66 as downloaded without any issues?
When I was originally having trouble with downgrading, I was always left with just a bootloader screen(1.06). But I could always get back to 1.66 without an issue.
If you can't get 1.66 to load, you may have a different issue than I had.
No, I can get the 1.66 to load back up without a problem, no matter what.
I don't really have any other suggestions for 1.52.
I did find that the bluetooth headset functionality in 1.52 was not acceptable and decided to go to 1.60 from O2. Here is the link. http://www.xda-2.co.uk/downloads/xda2_upgrade_download.html. I've been on it for 4 days and am very happy. It has an O2 splash at startup instead of i-mate and some other O2 specific junk I had to delete. The phone interface looks a little different, but it was way more stable than CDL's 1.66 and my Jabra headset is working great. Clear type looks pretty good too. If you're not to squimish about a non-imate ROM, give it a whirl.
I found a fix in 1.66 by changing a registry key to make the incoming COM port for bluetooth 5 instead of 4 (its under HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn). You simply change the Index value from 4 to 5 and my sd-gps started working. I have a bad feeling my sandisk card is dead though.
Jon.

How install official imate 1.72 on a o2 1.60?

Hi all!
i have a imate pocketpc and made the upgrade from 1.52 (the rom i found in the device) to the o2 dangaard 1.60, with a file found here that was a convert.bat and a xda2nbftool.exe.
Now i would like to install the 1.72 upgrade from imate and i receive the already seen "country id error". Now, i tried to understand the page in the forum where it explains the way to use xda2nbftool.exe, but really i can't.
So is there anyone who can post again a convert.bat file (like the previous) to help me?
Or someone who can explain me,simply, how to reflash my rom?
Thanks a lot!
Mario

Anyone who can help?
Thanks!!
Mario
You say you have the O2 Dangaard rom. This is impossible. This information is important for the convert.bat file, so which rom do you have, an official O2 rom or a Qtek (Dangaard) rom?
I have attached a file that you can use to upgrade an O2 rom, it will not work on a Qtek Dangaard rom, you will then have to change the words O2 into QTEK in the batchfile
QTEK to IMATE
I am using QTEK 1.66WWE, how do I do it? Please help, thank you...

It works!
I've tried on a QTEK 2020 form Dangaard Italy with "Versione ROM 1.66.04ITA"
The result now is:
ROM Version: 1.72.00WWE
ROM Date: 03/15/04
Radio Version: 1.14.00
Protocol Version: 1337.24
ExtROM Version: 1.72.126
The name of the file used for upgrading is: "ruu172126wwe_imate.exe"
It seems all working perfectly.
Thank you to all the guys of this Forum!
Hi there, I've got a QTEK with the same ROM as yours (pre-upgrade).
I'm also interested in upgrading to the (latest) engligh version.
Could you tell me exactly what did you do?
Is it enough to put the palm in the cradle, synchronize it, and launch the "ruu172126wwe_imate.exe"? (of course with a re-sync at the end).
Besides, does this software update also the phone menus?
Ciao e grazie.
Upgrading Instructions
Hi there!
I don't know if my way to upgrade could be the best one, but it works, and not only for me!
If you need more detailed explanation you can follow this link:
http://en.pdamobiz.com/en/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=61
Anyway this is the easy way I followed...
You must have three files: "ruu172126wwe_imate.exe", "xda2nbftool.exe" that you can get here: "http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/xda2nbftool"
and a batch file that you can find above in this topic: "O2toIMate.zip".
If you have a different ROM (I had an original Dangaard QTEK ROM) you must edit the batch file.
In my particular case I used the batch file supplied by Wuga just above this post (thank you Wuga!).
Make a folder (i.e. c:\xdaup\)
Extract (I used winrar) all files from archive "ruu172126wwe_imate.exe" and put all them in c:\xdaup\ folder, together with the batch file and the xda2nbftool.
Execute the batch file and wait till the conversion job is finished.
The first part of ugrading process is done!
Now put your pda in its cradle, connect it by USB to the pc (DO NOT USE A USB HUB) execute the file "HimaUpgradeUt.exe".
Follow instructions.
Do NOT stop the process till it is finished!
The whole process is about 30 min. long
Good Luck!
Oh! Don't blame me if this instructions could seems you written by a novice, because... I AM a novice... )
Loxodont
Correct
Its the correct script...[/code]
@ Wiz & Loxodont
cheers people i now have the lastest rom on my phone and was simply done thanks to you two seems alot better then the o2 rom by far
Thanks Loxodont/Wiz
I'm now up and running with 1.72.
As said somewhere else, cleartype is awful...
But all the rest is fine.
And how about to change from XDA I Ger to Eng version how to do it
Thanks for the file! Your are the best!

Is it possible for me to fix my mda II (help)

After looking for some tuts on upgrading my mda II to wm2003se i destroyed my pda, well works pda but still mine and i'm gutted.
i downloaded wm2003se from here. After not being able to get anything to work i transfered the contents of the files to sd card. then i tried booting the files on pda.
I got to 1 of these
HimaClearJumpCode
HimaGetDeviceData
xda2nbftool
then the pda reseted to
a dead screen.
all i see at the top of the screen is seriel and at the bottom is v1.06 and if i plug the cradle in the serial goes to usb?
Can i fix this myself or is my boss gonna be having it in for me?
Regards.
1 thing i know for sure, i'll not do this again
This is file i dl
Himalaya_WM2003SE_Upgrade
Your device is in bootloader mode...
Put the XDa back into the cradle and on the PC start the upgrade program again.
Brgds
Pat
Yes it is stuck in bootloader. The problem i have when running the upgrade is that the upgrade is meant for o2 xda not tmobile mda II.
I know i need to change the id and have read the read me on changing the id but i do not know how to extract nbf files so i can do this
The nbf files are configured for operator ID O2 and language ID WWE. If you need to change these, carry out all the steps below. If they are OK for you, go straight to step 5.
1. Extract the decrypted versions of the nbf files by entering the following commands at the command prompt:
xda2nbftool -x NK.nbf NK.nba 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nbf Radio_.nba 0x20040306
2. Modify the operator ID in the nbfs to the value you require by entering the following commands at the command prompt substituting <operator> with the required value:
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so <operator> -sl WWE NK.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so <operator> -sl WWE Radio_.nba
3. Update the crc values for each of the decrypted files by entering the following commands at the command prompt:
xda2nbftool -c -u NK.nba
xda2nbftool -c -u Radio_.nba
4. Encrypt the files back into the nbf files by entering the following commands at the command prompt:
xda2nbftool -x NK.nba NK.nbf 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nba Radio_.nbf 0x20040306
what am i supposed to do with this lot?
Yes, that's what you have to do.
You can also download the rom editor from here and change the values with the editor. Get the rom editor from here:

Good luck'

Thanks dude, the error of my ways has been playing on my mind all day.
The Mda II is now working again and is all cool. I do have and O2 boot up screen on my T-mobile MdaII and thats cool cos my t-mibile sim card works aswell.
BUT!!
1 big problem we have is that 4 or 5 of our mda's have no camera function.
Upgrading the os was only to get the cameras working so that i could get my mates cameras working, now my Mda has no camera function.Lol.
forum.xda-developers.com has many files but there is so much to search through that i find myself going round in circles in the search. Can i please ask for more help in getting my camera working.
Regards
1 thing after another eh! I find myself buzzing with joy at my upgrade but still there is a darkness lurking.
Ps
ER2003Edit is exelent, a true life saver and so simple and easy to use, thanks to the creators on that 1.
Go to the FTP section
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com
Login as xda and xda (all in small letters)
Go to the Himalaya section. You will find there many extended ROM for 2003SE to download. Download one EXTROM, open in EREDITOR and extract the Camera cab from there.
Install the cab on your XDA.
Cheers
