Hi guys,
I have an XDA2 with the last ROM update from o2 UK (my is sin-unlocked from HongKong). It's better if I use the Asia ROm Update?
I don't have any soft instaled (since my last unexpected hard reset). I charge my device every night....
Today was the third hard reset (last time I did the ROM update again).
I am realy disapointed because I'm thinking about send my Xda2 back to Hong Kong, for service center.
Should I have to do this?
There any solution for this? Why this is happening?

May I help you? but please tell me exactly what happen to your device ,
especially when it gone har reset an about Battery status when it hard reset. Now i use ROm1.60.00 and there is no problem ,very stable.
What about your program that have been installed in your device?

Tenho meu XDA2 desde dezembro e nunca tive problemas antes, no meu penultimo hard reset (semana passada) a bateria estava fraca e o device nao ligou mais, quando vi ele tinha feito o hard reset, fiz novamente a atualizacao para a ultimo ROM update e desde entao eu nao instalei nenhum software adicional.
Hoje meu aparelho ficou conectado ao computador pelo cabo USB e estava com bastante bateira, e agora a noite ele resetou.
Alguma sugestao?

Hard Reset
Ola Phelipe,
Realmente se o xda II ficar com a bateria zerada por mais que 20 minutos ele perde todo o conteúdo da memória e v tem que dar o hard reset, ideal e sempre que tudo esta funcionado, fazer o (All data) xBackup na memória MMC externa (Storage Card);(( Start > Programs> xBacKup > All data > open> Storage Card > Start)).
Quando acontecer alguma anomalia e só recuperar todos os dados da MMC.
+++ Em relação ao hard reset:
1) O carregador do XDA estava ligado no cradie e ligado ao pc pelo cabo de sync usb?
2) As vezes não entendo porque porem se o carregador não estiver conectado o PC drena a bateria do xda?
3) Que versão de Rom v tem?

i think the same as josedias to upgrade it with all O2-Asia ROM because i notice that your radio is from O2-uk. Hard reset may come from conflict in Ext.ROM. In the O2-Asia ROM, I didn't encounter with hard reset problem. I will look again If you still have the same problem. Goodluck..

Hello everyone.
I´m triyng to upgrade my Hermes to a portuguese Rom and i'm having some issues.
The Hermes is:
HERM200
IPL - 1.04
HERM200
SPL-1.40.01ipro
I've upgraded it to Schaps_WM6_PTG_3.54b without any problems but after that i can't get network.
When starting the option to input pin dosen´t appear and if I tipe in phoen icon the Hermes get's frizzen.
So, I´ve tried to upgrad to official portuguese rom but after 12% gives the 206 error. Why?
I can i solve this issue.
How can help me, please?

PTG: Olá pessoal.
Estou com um problema ao tentar fazer o upgrade do Tytn para Português.
Usei a Rom Schaps_WM6_PTG_3.54b e correu sem problemas mas depois de por esta rom nunca mais apanhei rede e não me aparece a opção de inserir o pin do cartão SIM.
Tento fazer o upgrade para a rom oficial e após 12% dá-me erro.
Como resolvo?

Esta é basicamente uma ROM com o sistema operativo de Windows Mobile 6.1 para Windows Mobile 6.5 e com umas actualizações nos packages (apenas alguns). Tudo o resto são os OEM do seu Iolite.
Na minha opinião a melhor que já cozinhei, sem mais bugs que aqueles três aqui descritos.
Todas as traduções dos packages actualizados foram feitas por mim e levaram que tempos e deram um trabalhão, por isso dava jeito que suportassem o meu trabalho.
Características:
81% dos packages são os originais do Iolite , os restantes 19% foram actualizados usando como base os packages do HTC Mega.
Novo Interface do telefone do HTC Mega, que não tem quaisquer conflitos com o Windows Mobile 6.5;
Novo teclado EzInput 2.1 (vibração não funciona, isso demorava outro meio século a decifrar);
Sem atraso no toque quando recebe uma chamada ou atraso no ecrã de bloqueio;
Sem notificações simultâneas e sobrepostas do Windows Mobile 6.5 e do Interface telefónico HTC quando recebe uma chamada ou mensagem;
Sem mancha quando percorre os contactos na lista telefónica usando o Phone Dialer da HTC;
Sem atraso no toque;
Sem atraso no GPS;
Possibilidade de alterar botões de hardware activa por defeito;
Reprodução nativa de ficheiros RMVB;
28% a 33% de consumo de RAM;
O bug da aplicação de mensagens presente em outras ROMs minhas foi agora resolvido.

Todos os outros packages são os OEM originais do Iolite e apenas adicionei dois packages meus que visam resolver erros internos e assim ter à sua disponibilidade todas as coisinhas boas descritas em Características.
A criação desta ROM prendeu-se com o facto de existirem alguns erros com o Interface telefónico do Iolite, que ainda não é completamente compatível com Windows Mobile 6.5, o que levava a um ENORME atraso no toque quando recebia uma chamada.
Houve outras razões para a criação desta ROM, mas o Interface telefónico, o teclado mais prático EzInput 2.1 (por exemplo para pôr acentos, basta ficar a carregar em cima da letra e escolher, em vez de andar à procura noutras páginas) e a tentativa de melhoria da actualização foram as razões principais.

This is basically an updated OS from Windows Mobile 6.1 to Windows Mobile 6.5 and a package update too (some of them). All else is Iolite's OEM stuff.
Best one in my opinion, no bugs, except those three described here.
All translation were made by me and took me forever, so please support my work.
Features:
81% Original Iolite packages, the other 19% have been updated using HTC Mega packages.
New HTC Mega's phone canvas, which does not conflict with Windows Mobile 6.5;
New EzInput 2.1 keyboard (vibration is not working, it would take me ages to figure that one out);
No ring delay when receiving a call or lockscreen delay;
No bubble notifications from Windows Mobile 6.5 and HTC's phone canvas simultaneously when receiving a call and/or SMS, all is fixed;
No blur when scrolling down over contacts using HTC phone dialer;
No touch delay anywhere on the system;
No GPS delay;
Hardware buttons change enabled by default;
Native RMVB playback support;
28% to 33% RAM consumption;
Messaging issue present in my other builds is now fixed.

All other packages are Iolite's OEM ones and I only added two packages of mine in order to fix what is described in Features.
This updated ROM took place 'cause of the errors that existed with Iolite's Phone Canvas, which was not yet fully compatible with Windows Mobile 6.5, leading to a VERY long call ringing delay.
There were other reasons for cooking this ROM, but the Phone Canvas, the new better looking and more practical EzInput 2.1 and the overall performance and keeping up to date were the main reasons.

O soft-reset faz-se carregando no botão vermelho atrás da capa...
O Player funciona, tenta dar-lhe mais algum tempo... Se calhar tens um cartão SD gigantesco como eu, de 16Gb e é normal que leve algum tempo.

yes i have a big card. I have it change with one "2 gb" with only 10 mp3 and still not going only apears (A procurar) (searching) all the options seams blocked.

Try using a Download Manager, like JDownloader.
Hardware buttons configuration
Hey, the rom is GREAT - i am only having one prob. I've set the hardware buttons aka nav and footprint buttons to dif programs but when i press it the programs that i chose open BUT nav/footprints open as well. is there any fix?

Yes, there is.
You must install FDC Task Manager and go to Services tab and select NaviService and set it to Manual and select also Stop.
Now there will be no double assignment.

I won't really look into that, 'cause I'm waiting for a HTC Mega dump in PTG, so I can do the exact same ROM I already did (iOmEgA Full), but in English...

Tens de escrever em Inglês, senão ainda te banem.
Sim, de facto a ROM em Inglês é superior a esta.
Para pores em Inglês, tens de instalar o Hard-SPL para o Iolite e a partir daí é só sacares qualquer ROM e instalar normalmente.

Keep in mind that you gotta write in English.
Yes, the ROM in English is better than this one in Portuguese.
To flash an English ROM into your Portuguese Iolite, you gotta install Hard-SPL first and then you can install whichever ROM you want.

I bought the Thl W5 and he came with one white dead pixel and slower i expect.
To correct the problems i decided to flash the phone with the latest update from the THL website.
For my surprise the oficial ROM from the THL do not support the Brazilian Portuguese, only english and chinese.
Could someone backup and upload the international ROM that comes with my language?

Sorry, but I haven't found this new rom for thl w5. Where did you guys get that?
Just few more questions? How would you compare thl w5 to zopo zp300+? Is w5 gps ok? Does it have that red led bug (that would prevent phone to deep sleep)? I'm really in doubt between them...

The multilanguage ROM came with the W5 from Pandawill and when i ask to THL about the ROM that i downloaded from THL's website they answered "Sorry but we only have English and Chinese on the W5" ?!
I Bought one W3+ and one W5. I can't compare with ZOPO because i've never tested one.
But between W3+ and W5 i think that is very important to consider that i used W3+ during 6-7 hours installing apps and configuring the cellphone and at the end of the day the battery still remains 89% !!!!!.
I haven't any issue about the led bug, but the GPS seems not working properly. I'll test and return to you.

Eu comprei pelo Chinavasion.com e fiquei mto contente com o thl w5, GPs td certinho a funcionar eu aconselho...não falo nas taxas pois o brasil nao é o meu país. abraço

It can be flashed with 'SP Flash Tool' Windows software (made by MediaTek). The firmware also contains Portuguese.

THL W5 and THL W3+
Olá rafobr.
Achei o W5 um aparelho muito bacana e com um visual bastante limpo (o que procuro em um telefone)
Não tive problemas até agora com consumo de bateria anormal e o carregamento se deu em torno de 1:45hs.
Quanto ao GPS ontem fiquei sabendo desse bug pela primeira vez e ativei o GPS no GMAPS, ficou um bom tempo procurando e e não estabeleceu uma conexão. Há de se levar em consideração que eu estava apenas ao lado da janela do apartamento e o tempo por aqui está nublado. Mas de qualquer forma isso nunca foi problema para meu Defy, continuarei testando para ver se realmente tem algo errado.
W3+ vs W5
Comprei um W3 para minha sobrinha e o W5 para mim. achei o desempenho dele(W3+), um pouco melhor, acredito que seja em virtude dele ter uma tela menor já que as características deles são quase idênticas, a ponto de que quando troquei a ROM e ela não vinha com diversos aplicativos, pude pegá-los direto da ROM do W3+.
Além disso o W3+, pelo tamanho fica melhor na mão, telefone de 4,7" fica muito grande e nem sempre dá para fazer tudo com apenas uma mão. Esse lance de tela cada vez maior é modismo que os fabricantes estão lançando e acho que já passou do limite.
Mas o que mais me impressionou como disse no outro post é a duração da bateria do W3+. Depois de um dia inteiro instalando uma série de aplicativos, testando e configurando ainda tinha 89% de carga !!! IMPRESSIONANTE !!
Comprei quando lançou e ficou em US$249. Sabemos como são os telefones chineses desses sites saem por um valor e caem rapidamente.
Comprei no Pandawill no começo de dezembro e chegou sábado passado. E sim foi taxado em 109,00.

Installed the app, cleared the A-GPS data, tried to locate satellites again and it works like a charm, so thanks. Already tested the GPS while running for few kms, accuracy quite ok.

qual dos dois eh mais fino? eh grande a diferença?
e quanto os led de notificação (mensagem recebida, ligação perdida, etc)? o w5 possui?
você testou com um cartão de memoria? parece-me que alguns vem com a um cartao de memoria 'virtual' q usa a memoria interna... mas parece q tem como corrigir isso...
o google calendar funciona?

É isso é comum, normalmente eu deixo ele instalar os apps na memória interna (8Gb) e no cartão de memória eu coloco meus documentos. Faço isso com meu tablet, na Google tv e nos telefones

WCMDA-IMT-2000
WCMDA-PCS-1900
WCMDA-CLR-850
WCMDA-800
(I am not an expert and not sure about the meaning of those expressions, I just wrote down that the prog showed.)

But their site states support for only WCMDA 850/2100?
I would like to know it if really works on band WCMDA-PCS-1900?

No there is no ROM at the moment except the official one.
And yes root is very easy.

The original rom has an excellent battery life but you have to root it, install play and remove all Chinese apps.

root and install play: google randomness0110.blogspot.nl or google Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18
remove apps: install Root App Delete or Root Uninstaller and fire at will with caution :fingers-crossed:

Estou com um LG P715 e ele esta apresentando alguns problemas, e não consigo resolver de maneira alguma.
*Ele liga, fica uns minutinhos ligado e reinicia.
*Sempre que reinicia, toda e qualquer alteração feita nele volta ao normal, aplicativos baixados/deletados, logs e todo o resto.
*Ele não aceita hard reset, seja pelas configurações ou pelas teclas, ao chegar no rôbozinho ele apaga e o celular liga normalmente.
*Tentei instalar outra ROM para ver se resolvia, mas ele simplesmente nega a aceitar, continua rodando o android atual.
*Tentei dar flash nele, mas o mesmo da anterior, simplesmente é como se nada tivesse acontecido.
Eu não sei mais o que fazer com ele, já revirei todos fóruns possíveis e nada, queria saber se alguém poderia me ajudar de alguma forma, pois tá difícil.
