Update XDA II with i-mate 1.72 - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Hi guys,
i'd like to flash my device (XDA II) for the first time but i'm newbe (and my english is horrible) Embarassed
I've read http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/HimalayaRomFlashing this instruction but still i've got no idea how to flash :-/
My DeviceData.txt:
USB 32
1.60.00WWE
PH10
TMOBILE
WWE1.60.47
1.10.00
I've used er2003edit to add some cabs to ms_.nbf (changed config.txt).
But what now? Which program should i use to flash the device? How to modify device data in Radio and nk (using xda2nbftool??) if i dont know password for radio and nk file?
UPDATE: i've managed with almost everything - now i've got an error : ERROR 102: CE IMAGE FILE CHECKSUM ERROR
i've used xda2nbftool with -C -u parameters on every file..
What i'm doing wrong?
Cheers,
Przemek.
P.S. Please help me - i don't want to destroy my toy. I won't buy new one for a looong time.

Ok. i've used clean i-mate 1.72.126 , not changet anything.
I've ran script like this:
xda2nbftool -x nk.nbf nk.nba 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x radio_.nbf radio_.nba 0x20040306
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nbf ms_.nba 0x20040305
xda2nbftool -so TMOBILE -v ms_.nba
xda2nbftool -so TMOBILE -v Radio_.nba
xda2nbftool -so TMOBILE -v nk.nba
del *.nbf /q
xda2nbftool -e nk.nba nk.nbf 921211
rename ms_.nba ms_.nbf
rename radio_.nba radio_.nbf
Del nk.nba
and then HimaUpgradeUt.exe and i still have a problem with error 102.
Any ideas?

This should help...
xda2nbftool -x NK.nbf NK.nba 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nbf ms_.nba 0x20040305
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nbf Radio_.nba 0x20040306
del *.nbf -y
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so TMOBILE -sl WWE -v NK.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so TMOBILE -sl WWE -v ms_.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so TMOBILE -sl WWE -v Radio_.nba
xda2nbftool -c -u -v NK.nba
xda2nbftool -c -u -v ms_.nba
xda2nbftool -c -u -v Radio_.nba
xda2nbftool -x NK.nba NK.nbf 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nba ms_.nbf 0x20040305
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nba Radio_.nbf 0x20040306
del *.nba -y
then run update tool...
You did mistake with XORing the final files with different XOR keys...

Help please! Upgrade from TMobile 1.60 to Dangaard 1.60.21

Hi everyone,
I’ve tried to upgrade from Tmobile 1.60.00 to Daangard 1.60.21 following this steps:
1) downloaded update.zip tool from this site
2) downloaded xda2nbftool.exe
3) Extracted Dangaard Rom image in a dir
4) Replaced .exe files with the ones of update.zip file
5) Checked with HimaGetDeviceData.exe my device info. It returned:
"USB 32 1.60.00WWE "
"PH10" -> '-sd' option
"TMobile" -> '-so' option
"WWE" -> '-sl' option
"1.60.06"
"1.06.01"
6) Opened MS-DOS prompt and used this commands:
xda2nbftool -d NK.nbf nk.nba 921211
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Qtek -sl WWE -v ms_.nbf
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Qtek -sl WWE -v Radio_.nbf
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so Qtek -sl WWE -v nk.nba
xda2nbftool -e nk.nba NK.nbf HTC
The commands are the same as descripted from XDA developer Itsme in his post, only passwords are reversed because I’ve to pass from Tmobile Rom To Dangaard Rom
Tried to launch upgrade but it returned me an “Error 102: Image File Checksum Error”
Any help???

6) Used original HimaUpgradeUt.exe file found in the 1.60 rom version (version 0.5.0.0)
But when I launch the upgrade the upgrade program doesn't find the device!
Any help?
Same here Are we stuck with T-mobile? #&¤#&%¤ I flashed mine yesterday... Talk about bad luck.. Hopefully somebody bright here will find a solution..
warning: you do have to check that you indeed used the correct password.
by viewing the start of the decrypted file. it should contain readable ascii text.
if it doesn't, you used the wrong password.
the passwords do not depend on the rom version, but on the version of the upgrade tool that came with it.
2003-12-12 13:37 520,192 HimaUpgradeUt-0600.exe : use 921211
2003-11-12 16:25 503,808 HimaUpgradeUt-0500.exe : use HTC
So you believe Spanky did wrong since you need to use HTC as pass since the T-mobile use version 0500? Or am I way off then? Would be nice if someone could post a fixed rom...
Where can I find the update.zip file mentioned is this posting?

Can't decrypt *.nbf-pwd's

Hi.
I'm trying to encrypt the NBF-Pwd's, but mda2nbftool seems not to work properly.
Code:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\McJagger\Desktop\MDA\t-mobile>xda2nbftool.exe -t
xda2nbftool -x ms_.nbf ms_.nba 0x00000000
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nbf Radio_.nba 0x00000000
It doesn't even find the NK.nbf (althaugh it definitly is in the dir).
Im using "RUU16007GER_T-Mobile_DE".
With other packages it works perfectly. Is there a solution?
Does btw. anyone have HT-ruu's (Croatia)?
And is it possible to use the Homebrew-kitchen-stuff on the MDA2 or is this just for MDA 1?

Orefin
icq 14590003
Similar problem as OREFIN
I also have an O2 version of XDA 2. I use it, however, on AT&T Wireles in the US. Have upgrade to O2's V1.60ROM....2 issues & 1 Question
Issue 1: Unit does a Hard Reset about twice a week...can't reproduce on demand...it's killing me!
Issue 2: First attempt to upgrade to I-Mate V1.72 yielded the same country id error that OREFIN mentions. I understand why but the utility mentioned in another forum to get around this also did not work.
Question 1: Since I am not running on the O2 network I do not need (nor want) the O2 launcher programs in its ROM...so, should upgrade to the I-Mate V1.72 ROM eventhough I did not buy mine from them?
All responses appreciated,
Gegs

Can't use -b options?
RomMaster.exe diskimage_ver.nb0 -w 5 -b 0x0018000c -x -o xip.bin
RomMaster V2.2
Usage: RomMaster [options] imagefile
-d[m] <dfile> - delete file
replace file/module together with -a option
'm' delete module, deleting module isn't suggested
-a[c] <afile> - add file into the rom
'c' means use compress(need CECompressv4.dll)
-o <ofile> - output imagefile name
-v <0~9> - print info, 0 detail, 9 only show errors, default is 5
-w <5> - 5 is 2005, default is 2003&SE
-x - only save XIP(OS) data, can use fix option
-s <0x...> - Fix XIP start address(Hex)
-e <0x...> - Fix XIP end address(Hex)
In replace mode, 'c'&'m' is useless

You can use ROMMASTER from Scoter ROM Kitchen.
It's v2.3 and use the -b option.

[Begginner] Rom Dump?

Hi,
I have a new UK/EU WWE Raphael:
ROM 1.90.401.1 WWE
Date 08/01/08
Radio 1.02.25.19
Protocol 52.33.25.17H
I would like to know how I can dump my ROM making a safe copy just in case of failures of ugrades.
Thanks.
Take a look here. Just a reminder : pls use search button I'm here as a friend, but get ready to be flamed by others/mods.
Thx,
I searched, but didn't came out anything useful :-(
huh????
the link the guy gave has step by step instructions?
1. First of all is to Dump the ROM from your device.
Here are the proces (thanks to RezzZ)...
HTC Touch Pro DUMP:
Open a reg editor (dooFred TaskManager, TotalCommander or PHM Registry...) on your Touch Pro
Change:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies
valuename '00001001'was set to dword:2, change it to dword:1
After this change you need to soft reset your device.
Download itsutilsbin (http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/xda/tools.html)
Extract the zip file and copy itsutils.dll to \windows on the Touch Pro (don't do it using ActiveSync, instead copy the file first to SD, and using TotalCommander or Resco Explorer copy from SD to \Windows).
Run (copy paste):
“pdocread.exe -l” (it’s the letter L not a 1)
you get something like:
Code:
457.75M (0x1c9c0000) DSK1:
| 3.12M (0x31f000) Part00
| 4.50M (0x480000) Part01
| 126.50M (0x7e80000) Part02
| 323.63M (0x143a0000) Part03
7.61G (0x1e6e80000) DSK7:
| 7.60G (0x1e6a80000) Part00
.....
Now run:
“pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part00 0 0x31f000 Part00.raw”
“pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part01 0 0x480000 Part01.raw”
“pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part02 0 0x7e80000 Part02.raw”
“pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part03 0 0x143a0000 Part03.raw”
notice the part before Part0X.raw is the same as you got with pdocread.exe –l, same for the name of the disk.
dumping part02 and 03 wil take some time. be patient.
After dumping the ROM you'll have 4 RAW files. Move in one folder the Part01.raw that contains the XIP and Part02.RAW that contains the IMGFS, both needed for the reconstruction process.
2. Download the WWE BaseROM to use in the reconstruction process here http://rapidshare.com/files/138980371/RUU_Raphael_HTC_WWE_1.90.405.1_Radio_Signed_Raphae l_CRC_52.33.25.17_1.02.25.19_Ship.exe
3. Download the Raphael Kitchen v0.61 here, that allows to reconstruct the ROM from the dump. The Raphael Kitchen allows to cook a ROM from a dumped one and from base NBH shipped one. You need to put the NBH file from the step before in the BaseROM folder (the Shipped ROM is a huge EXE file, and you'll need WinRAR to extract the content), and put the RAW files too.
Then execute the RAPHAELKITCHEN.CMD and choose the next options from the menu it this order:
e, b (for dumped ROM),space key, c, a, press BuildOS Play icon and wait to finish, Close BuildOS, close PagePool Changer and press space to go back to main mene. As a result of this process you will have a RUU_Signed.NBH file you can flash on to your Touch Pro to go back using the F option from main menu.
Click to collapse
if your having any problems with any of this i would post in that thread, i followed the instructions step by step and managed to do it farily easily, try and post what problems and im sure some one will help you (cant promise it would be me as im busy next week but will have a look if you at least try )
thanks to jcespi2005 and hang.tuah for their awesome contributions
